I love the energy and the message in this video. However I wanna add something in the comments : if you guys can not afford a model there are various tutorials on the web on how to become a vtuber on a budget or for free. And if you are sure about doing this then you will stop complaining and start learning even if you don't have time. 10 minutes a day is a good dedication for your dream. And keep low and realistic expectation. It might not be same as others.

I have never heard of the ownership rules. My logic is “You paid for it so it’s yours (full ownership)” Are some people actually like that?

Copyright doesn't work like that. Even if someone has given you full ownership, AND blanket commercial rights the copyright is till theirs and if they wanted, they can pull it off legally.
Of course, if you have bought all the rights like above, the chance of them winning that claim is virtually nonexistent. Still, it does not mean that drawing or design was done by you, the copyright is owned by who actually have done the work.

Some commissions cover the cost of service, but not the rights to the artwork itself. The cost of commercial usage, rights to share, and licensing to third parties, are separate. An experienced artist will have a terms of service for this. Otherwise, the client, artist, or a third party might (accidentally or intentionally) exploit each other.

This is not to shame any new clients or artists, but agreements are there to help clarify what is fair.
For example, Muriel Fahrion was payed to draw greeting cards, so she help designed Strawberry Shortcake. The company that now "owns" the design now makes millions from other merchandise like toys. Imagine Muriel was paid $100 for one character. 100 would only be 0.01% out of one million. Since Muriel was unable negotiate for compensation, she gets no royalties and choice in how the character is used.

The ownership stuff is actually really good advice that a lot of people seem to miss. Good on you for adding it!!! Thankfully the person designing my vtuber is giving me the full commercial rights at NO EXTRA COST SHOCKINGLY, hes a good friend of mine I've had for years, but I plan to give him a small chunk of any money I ever manage to get anyway just to be nice. (Yknow I get like 1,000 in subs, I'll give him like 10% or 100 just because why not?) After I get the design from him though I'm not really sure how to go about the model and rigging. I'm thinking of paying someone to draw the model and trying to rig it myself but damn that's gonna be a nightmare LOL.

I have a design. I kind of want png or similar to yours. I have some dreams I wanna reach. I hope iPad has a face tracker. Computer is what I don't have right now. I can try to learn doing the model, guess being an artist would help me somehow or follow your advice or uhhh ask people I know who makes models. Ownership and commercial rights huh...I'll remember that. If I'll be able to be a v-tuber too, you'll definitely be my motivation~ ^w^)/

Im really lucky that I am an artist who is just looking for someone to rig, because I technically get commercial rights since I own the drawing!

I've never heard about the ownership and commercial rights being different.
Aside from when something is designed to be commercialised, then I think the artist can also make a royalties clause in that contract for the art?
I could be completely wrong. XD
You model is the most adorable model I have seen in forever!!!! I HAVE TO SUB!
