Brilliant video! Thank you, Gemma, for offering some fashion sense that addresses the less than flattering areas of my body. I appreciate your grace and dignity exhibited in all your videos. 🙏🏻
I love your outfit in this video. The white blazer with the white bodyfit top under and the black jeans are just beautiful and very chic. And the videos without the "humorful" elements are so much better!
Dresses are so hard for someone like me, a mature, petite (5'1") apple, with small bust. Haven't found or worn one in years but really would like to have one this summer. So many of the summer dresses have puffed sleeves (which remind me of my childhood!) and ruffles, which I feel are not for me. Sleeveless dresses are also not for me, and would need a jacket, but in the 90 degree days that won't work!
This resonated with me so much, Fiona. I'm also a mature woman and 5'1. I'm an hourglass, though, like the number 8, so I have rounded curves. Larger bust for my height, my waist is 20cm smaller than my bust and hips, but being more rounded, I also have a tummy. Wrap dresses just emphasise my bust so much that I become very self-conscious. I find it frustrating that petite clothing is so often aimed at teenagers and much younger women! I don't need ruffles and frills at my age! Or large print that overwhelms me. Hope you find a lovely dress, happy hunting 😊
Great video Gemma ❤❤ I like dresses that fit and flare using princess seams. I like the eye to travel vertically so the eye just misses anything like a full tummy. I also watch where the horizontal seams are, a wrap, knot,or waistline. Have a great week ❤❤
I just ordered the white stripped wrapdress from Mango you showed at the beggining, im plus size with an apron stomach, so now i know i made the right choice 😊 regards from Mexico
I really enjoyed this video, thank you. I'm petite, only just about 5 feet tall and my tummy is my problem area. I like shorter style dresses in winter when I can wear tights but I'm self conscious about my legs in summer because I have spider veins, I would love some recommendations for how petites like me can wear longer dresses which also hide the tummy area, I'm not asking for much 😊 any advice would be great, thank you!
In wintertime, my dermatologist treats the spider veins with injections. Wear compression stockings after for a few weeks and legs cured for next summer. Consider if it's for you. It helped me.
The empire dress looks best on me. I'm tall & not overweight. However, after being pregnant with 4 babies, I will always have a bulge in my lower tummy. My children are worth it, though.
Hi Gemma, for some unknown reason, my subscription to you dropped out!😮 I saw this video pop up as a recommendation and thought, "I didn't get a notification." Went in and checked, and you had been removed from my subscriptions along with two other YT I follow. I'm not sure what's going with that?! Great video, thank you 💙
Thank you for letting me know. I'm really relived you said as I don't think you're alone. Something has happened my channel has just suddenly stopped getting views and was trying to work out what had happened
Great presentation! I hate how plus styled clothing is never well cut. Everything is overly large to hide under, instead of creating the flattering illusion of shape. Even blazers dont have a curved cut but are square and boxy add bulking instead of flattering lines. Helpful styling hints here:)
I don't know about analytics so this comment may be irrelevant if you get more points the more times you say "hide the tummy". I know it's important to say it in the title so people can find it. Otherwise, rather than saying "hide the tummy", other options might be "draw attention away from the tummy", "highlight your most appealing areas", "bring focus up to a captivating bustline", "accentuate your most attractive curves", "capitalize on other assets", Etc. Women in general, and myself in particular, are so quick to focus on the bad and not think about the good, aren't we? A long neck or shapely legs are always worth showing off. One technical comment. There were some dresses where you were pointing out the benefit of bringing knots etc up to a certain area but, because some dresses were made of a darker fabric, it was difficult to clearly see the result. This was a really great video, and I particularly liked that you showed some tailored options other than just summertime dresses. Thank you very much.
Thank you 🙏 ❤. I love your white blazer. Can you please share brand name of your white blazer that you are wearing in this video ❤❤. Looking very professional and smart as always 🌷🌷🌷🌹🌹🌹
V-neck is very flattering, perhaps you could combine this neckline with a (lacy) modesty panel to cover the scar? Perhaps this could make it work for you.
Hi Gemma I struggle with dresses as my boobs are mahusive 😄😄 Think wrap ones suit me best, and i stay away from prints. Ive just returned a camel coloured dress, as i looked like a giant package 😄😄😄 Great vid xx 😘
Why s h o u l d anyone hide a tummy? If at all, go for a liver check-up, because it's likely to be a stressed liver that creates the huge bloat so many women despair over.

You could use a button-up shirt as a jacket. Or a kimono.

So sorry, it's a few years old
Thanks Gemma!

What about undergarments to wear during summer to make us look slimmer?
