Watching that match reminded me of watching Alcaraz's breakthrough match against Stef. This kid hits his forehand like a truck and his ability to convert points in pressure points was amazing. He will go far with this humility and raw talent.

Fonseca possesses all the qualities to become a prominent name in tennis. In my opinion, his awareness and ability to read the game, along with his adeptness in handling various situations, are the keys to his success. I am confident that the ATP audience will be eagerly anticipating his performance in the next match."

u know that everyone said the same about -
      Rublev , FAA , Tsitsi- freepass , Medvedev , Fritz , Rune , Garin , SaybotWild, …… i can continue
only Alcaraz and Sinner achieved it
So it is more likely not to become constantly good then become one 😅
i hope the hype stops because
Because of this type of HYPING PLAYERS CHOKE and start losing feeling pressure from the fans and media
Just let him alone and stop talking about him and he will feel less pressure 😅

      SF of slam is Pressure
Setboth Wild beated Medvedev on AO
      Where is he now ?
      nowhere
Karatsev ? played SF vs Novak and lost where is he now ?
Stop putting pressure on Fonseca shoulders for young age
Nadal , Federer , Sampras , Mcnroe never had that pressure because back then there was no fuss about tennis so much and there was no Social media everyone to stack expectations

I am Brazilian and I have been following tennis for 40 years, having watched Grand Slam matches in person in New York and Paris, as well as ATP finals in London and Shanghai. In the last 20 years, I have followed with great passion the careers of the Big Three. With the retirement of two of them and the upcoming retirement of the third, I came to the conclusion with sadness and nostalgia that I was putting an end to my passion for the game, when suddenly this meteor called João Fonseca appears out of nowhere, of whom I had never heard a few weeks ago. He has an extremely vigorous game, is confident, humble, intelligent and good-looking. I've watched some of his interviews in our native Portuguese, where he develops these characteristics more easily, which gave me the conviction that I will keep my passion for the game for at least the next 10 years!

We have many good coaches in Brazil, but unfourtunately, few of them prepare their pupils head. João's coach is one of them. The philosophy is "don't miss a point trying to get the fan's applause; keep fighting all the time with one thought in your mind: the match finishes only after the last point. Never give up."
