Thanks Rocky Wall for posting this concert. Great performance by one of the best bands ever. I envy the audience for having witnessed this intimate show, but am thankfull to be able to watch this in the comfort of my home in The Netherlands.
Holy hell... That version of Smile was amazing!!! The are like 🍷 that gets better with age. No one is worthy of their songwriting & harmony throughout the years.
They still sound great! Gary's guitar playing is impressive and I've always loved his voice. Hopefully they're making a comfortable living and loving life!!! Thanks for existing, Jayhawks!!!
Thanks for this great live video 😊 The Jayhawks are one of my fave americana bands, in 2003 I was in their concert here in Berlin, after the show we had a nice small talk with the very kind band members and they signed my Rainy Day Music Vinyl album, it has a special place in my collection ! keep on rockin' 🎸🎹🥁
SOOOO AWESOME!!!!!! The Jayhawks are my most favorite band of ALL TIME!!!!! I was hooked as soon as I listened to Hollywood Town Hall a week after that amazing album was released!! I will FOREVER love The Jayhawks!!!! All ready told my wife, I have many songs from The Jayhawks to be played at my celebration of life when that time comes. 🙏♥️🎶🎸🎶♥️🙏

When I walk my cat in the morning, I think- what music am I going to play that’s gonna give me a good chill and put me in a good head space.. The Jayhawks, naturally.. their music makes me happy.. love these dudes!
I thought Hollywood Town Hall would make them massive. Then I thought Smile and Sound of Lies would do it... I've given up, but I'm glad to have them for myself and the others who love them.
You say honest r&r band.. So honestly, do you have narcolepsy or just some good drugs to be falling asleep ? Hope you're laughing cause I didn't mean to pass you off. In not going to investigate but it seems like I hears of them years ago. An east coast band maybe. Educate me if you want. In just listening, first time (maybe).
@@georgeking5044 I think I have some good drugs. I’m stuck on the couch recovering from hip surgery and scrolling for something interesting. Don’t mean to insult any Jayhawks fans but I might have put a toe over the line. On another note, I actually broke all the doctor’s rules and drank a beer when I heard that Kris Kristofferson passed away. I magically went all the way to NYC and hung out with hobos the first time I heard Sunday morning coming down. I was only 17 years old and some drug hit me way back then the very first time I listened to his songs. That’s about as honest as I can manage until I manage to get off this f**king couch.
There's actually a connection there even though the chords are different- Benmont Tench played on their album, "Hollywood Town Hall." A year later Petty came out with "Mary Jane..." and I remember thinking to myself that he must of been at least influenced by the Jayhawks tune. The main beat is exactly the same.
Not in my mind, but jogs my memory that I saw Jayhawks open for Neil in all-acoustic show in Mpls in the 90s "Harvest Moon" era for Neil, between HTH and TtGG for Jayhawks. Martin Zellar of Gear Daddies performed too.
@@RockyWallEntertainment 39:07 ... I mean I'm sure it's a fun time for the 1800 who live there but for a touring band who used to be pretty big, well...

Karen came out to my Heart Tribute bands shows. She was way cool. The Jayhawks are one of my remaining heroes.
The Jayhawks are legendary, it's a shame they never got the attention and credit they deserve.
So so so true. They are indeed legends
True but they still have always had a very enthusiastic and loyal fan base.
Its a mystery why they never got big. They are so good.
Holy hell... That version of Smile was amazing!!! The are like 🍷 that gets better with age. No one is worthy of their songwriting & harmony throughout the years.
They sound great, small crowd and all. What amazing songs that hold up so well. Thanks so much for this treat.
Most under appreciated band of all time. Brilliant!

Always a great pleasure to hear The Jayhawks 👍🎸
LOVE the Jayhawks! Criminally underrated/under appreciated.
Thank you for posting this. Great show
World’s greatest live and recorded band, well…one of them!

Outstanding Performance !!! 👏👏👏 What a great Band
Keep on the stage. 🎸
What a cool venue for the Jayhawks to play. This is true dedication by the band to simple folk traditions gifting the north shore their very best.
Great band, saw them several times , big quality music no matter what kind of style you like

SO glad I found this! Thank you❤🇨🇦
Wow…a real rock and roll band. So honest and pure.
I saw them during the Mockingbird Time tour. That was the best possible lineup, with Olson back in tow, but Grotberg, O'Reagan, and Perlman as well.
Wow!! One of the greatest bands EVER!!
My 6th time seeing The Jayhawks live since ‘95. Superb sound even in 2nd row. They played a few rare cuts as well. Loved it.
Thanks for inviting us Texas folk! Loved it so much!
So glad you were able to enjoy this show - we love bringing the best of Americana Music to the North Shore.
That was a hell of a beginning! Damn! 👏👏👏👏
I agree:-)
Great Band and Songs. Miss those Pandemic Shows with Gary and his talented kid!
I thought Hollywood Town Hall would make them massive. Then I thought Smile and Sound of Lies would do it... I've given up, but I'm glad to have them for myself and the others who love them.
You guys are awesome. Listen to you all the time. Hopefully I'll get to see you live one day.
Keep doing what you're doing !
Really, Really, missed this band!
What a treat .
what a great band. superb
Incredible
Wonderful audio quality even on my iPhone
Thanks! I'll pass this along to our acoustic landscaper Jerry LaVigne , North Shore Sound. He is the best!
The Jayhawks, great honest rock n roll band. They sound great. Sorry, I fell asleep in the middle of it.

I'm putting this on to go to sleep. I don't think they would be offended. I only sleep with music I love.
Listening in Sao Paulo, Brasil
desde URUGUAY escuchandolos !! fuerza !!!💪💪👍
Amazing tone from Gary Louris with the SG.
Neil Young would approve.
1,st class job. The best 😊😊😊😊😊😮😮😮🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤paul
I hear some Jesse Colin Young in Gary's voice......Nice!
❤❤❤
Saw them open for tom petty during the wildflowers tour, Phoenix.
Miss Mark Olson ~ The interplay between him and Gary :(
I miss to, but Gary is happier now………..
Buffalo springfield and tom petty vibes.
Nice! Marty Sender You Tube
More people on stage than in the audience unfortunately
Actually, there were ~2,000 in the audience and 4 band members on stage. It was a very wonderful evening.
I always loved the Jayhawks, but their sound is kinda thin these days.
last dance with mary jane….😉
not quite. Plus this came out a year earlier than last dance with mary jane.

Neil young sounding vocals ?

Sad that it looks so poorly attended
There were 2,000 folks in attendance. Total Silver Bay population is 1,800 - so we think it went pretty well.
