Maybach GLE doesn't come from Maybach (Mercedes), yet. But Hofele, also German, is there to supply you with the same pimping and tuning as Mercedes-Maybach does, but cheaper.
Yet, they are authorized to use the Maybach Logo. And they show their Hofele badge on the C-Pillars. Soooo... basically it is a promotional stunt from Maybach, just to see how car enthusiasts are responding to it.
Market Research as to see if they should expand.
The Maybach GLE is official though. It’s coming next year. The E-Class will also be available as a Maybach version. Other models are also planned as a Maybach version but for the Chinese market I believe.

@@LauWo I mean not really :D The GLE Maybach has been confirmed for a long time. They just want a piece of that cake before it comes out officially from Mercedes. We for example remove the Maybach logos from our cars and replace them with our own logos now.

There are audi A3, S3 and RS3, RS3 has 2.5L 5 cyl engine, S3 has 2.0 4 cyl and A3 has different options including 2.0 engine and as far as i am concerned you can tune 2.0 A3 and make a S lift (engine tune and you can put S3 front grill) some people think that putting a fake S badge make their car more powerful (rookie tuning mistake when you forget to tune the car)
