- One of my favorite ultrawides, this monitor review rocketed to be my channel's first 100,000 view video almost two years ago. I had a chance to review this special panel again for Amazon Prime Days and it's still a bargain for those looking for a space saving, big single ultrawide gaming monitor with lots of features for around $250.
While it can do 200hz, I found it runs best at 165hz and ghosting is minimized. The wrap around curve is immersive and great for flight simulators and first person shooters alike. The VA panel will have some color shift at off-center viewing angles, but that's expected and not an issue with this curved set. With 2560x1080 resolution, it's actually much easier for your budget GPU to render at faster frame rates.

It’s a fantastic budget ultrawide. Setting to 144hz it has minimal ghosting. Great buy!

I am curious what settings you recommend/use for brightness, contrast, backlight, etc. on the monitor settings themselves. I can't seem to find too many examples online of settings people are using with this monitor and was just wondering as I've kept mine on the factory default the whole time I've had it. Thanks!
It’s a VA panel so viewing angle will change color and contrast greatly. I often recommend turning down the backlight vs adjusting brightness. I run it at 165hz or 144hz which greatly reduces ghosting and still is great. Enjoy - and don’t throw out the VESA adapter from the box.
Im getting one of these today moving up from two 24 inch 60hz monitors to one of these will def be a nice jump in quality I got a great deal on one and you reinforced my impulse buy.
You order already? They have a new one that just came out 😜 210hz IPS. I haven’t tested it yet but it’s $229 and sounds amazing.

Change the resolution of the video game to 2560 X 1080. You want to use 21:9 aspect ratio.
hey whats better ips or VA. Also does this monitor have freesync premium? I looked at it and it just says freesync but not which one
For color work IPS usually offers richer color. VA panels were traditionally faster refresh rate. Freesync doesn’t require licensing to advertise support for - though most monitors do both unofficially.
I have a question, I bought this for my Xbox and it was blurry and only going to 60hz so I bought an adapter for HDMI to Display port and it has a usb for power. I’ve seen some videos saying this will fix it to 120hz but will it help with the stretch res blurriness at all if not I’m just swap the aspect ratio so it doesn’t matter but I’m just curious
you need a pc to have good graphics and get the full 200hz. And Don’t worry I’m having the same problem right now😂

@@raccoonacid201Thats because Xbox supports only up too 120 fps. And you have a 200hz ultra wide monitor so basically what it does is it makes your gameplay very bad and graphics horrible because the monitor is not compatible with the Xbox. Same as my ps5 I am having these problems, planning too get a pc soon tho!, Hope this helped

Under aspect ratio change it to dot-to-dot. The Xbox is outputting 16:9 and the monitor is stretching it to 21:9 aspect. 👍

It’s the aspect ratio of 21:9 vs 16:9. So it is about 25% shorter
Why isn’t it allowing me to get to 2160p on my PlayStation and I bought a brand new PlayStation five HDMI cable that connects😢
The monitor is 2560x1080p resolution. That’s still 1080p but with 21:9 aspect ratio instead of 16:9. 2160p is 4k at normal aspect which this is not.

@@Joaquin-sz4um set the monitor to 16:9 mode / dot-by-dot, and then the ps5 to 1080p. It will look great.
@@TheNetGuy so I went to settings and I clicked on current video output signal, and it said the resolution was 1920 x 1080 and then when I went to test the output, it said that the connected HDMI device does not support it so does that mean that it’s the actual HDMI itself or it just doesn’t support the ultra wide gaming system all around like that? Because I know it does not support Ultra Wide gaming but I don’t know 100% what it means.

Seems like Display Port on this monitor tends to stop working. Mine stopped working after a week and reading amazon comments Im not the only one. The issue is that Display port provides 200hz but HDMI doesnt
Should be an easy fix, not saying its ok but you know you get what you are paying for and all that
do you know if it works with a xbox one s? or will it create big black borders?
I’ve seen videos where it looks great and no borders but not out of personal experience.

When I click the menu button it shows the monitor is at 60hz, I have my PC plugged in with a display port cord. What am I doing wrong here?
Go into advanced display settings under display settings in Windows and you can set the refresh rate. 👍

How come when I plug in my DP cable I can only get the FULL WIDE display in a game … my windows desktop looks windowed :(( how do I fix this
Make sure your aspect ratio and resolution is 21:9. Such as 2560x1440

HDR will disable all your customizations as there is a very strict spec on what is required for HDR certification. It also wouldn’t be accurate anymore as HDR changes the output curves greatly.

Unfortunately no. The 21:9 ultrawide resolution isn’t universally supported.
I’m on ps5 and I bought one but the color doesn’t seem to pop out the box , any info to change the color settings

It’s a great monitor. A gas strut monitor arm from Mount Pro is affordable and really makes this monitor shine/swivel/move easier and gets it up higher. Great gift idea!

Tried using my ps5 with this monitor and it looked a little rough, might just have been how I was doing it but probably doesn’t work well
It’s not designed for 21:9 resolution. You’ll have to tweak the settings to get bars on the side

Why does nobody cover the fact that if you use it with a vesa mount that it only connects by ONE screw. The ONE screw broke off after about 2 months. So don't use a vesa mount. If you do, don't move it 🙄
That is a good point, though many monitors use a single screw mount through their stands. Luckily this one is very light overall.

Check out the Sceptre 27 and 32” monitors. They’ll work great with Xbox Series S and are a bargain. They’ll even do 120hz+

its really gonna depend personally I use a 3070ti rn and its amazing im hitting around 400-500 fps in most games like fortnite and valorant sometimes higher in minecraft
