It's quite interesting to see the circuit in it's "Frankenstein" stage of development, and I rather enjoyed seeing a young person design a circuit without staring at a cad program. Good work, Teodors!
Man… This has shook me. I’ve been lusting after the plasma pedals for years now. Today I won a pedal in the 5 year giveaway (woooohooo), and I thought the choice was easy. Then I spoke to the other winner, and started researching the light pedal in depth. With this video, it’s now clear that, no, not the plasma, the light will be mine 🤩 Teo is such an amazingly driven person, I recognise myself when I was younger and not yet chronically ill. I started working at an IT company with the same kind of open and experimental environment as I see in this video. The world was a playground. After becoming sick, I lost that youthful spirit for a few years, falling into depression, only to rise out when playing guitar. Luckily I’ve found my soul again, and I can be a dad for my kids, and a husband to my wife, even though I’m often bedridden and in lots of pain. I’ve found God, so to say. The light, in other words. After seeing this video, I feel very strongly that this pedal fits my life and music. You guys rock! Make more magic, please. I know now that I will save money for more of your amazing products. Even if it takes years 😊 Amazing people deserve amazing support.
I have to say this, I've enjoyed this video so much, not only for Teodors, who looks to be a cool passionate guy, who enjoys music above all, but also because it's 20 years since I play guitar and I've seen the rise and fall of pedals and gear, and the more I grow old, the more I feel disenfranchised with modern guitar technology, but that early feeling of excitement and curiosity has appeared again with this pedal, it does look and sounds awesome. Many thanks to Teodors for this video!
Thank you, Paulo! ❤️ That's a feeling we really try to keep around - that excitement and curiosity, both - about the technological means and about the resulting sounds and their applications in music. And we're always happy to hear if our products inspire musicians to look for interesting sounds and give them that same curious ear!
This is a wonderful pedal folks! I‘m not the biggest fan of spring verbs but this is going to make my Grandmother sing like nothing else and I honestly believe this to be true 💜
Great to see a company pushing forward in a really UN-pretentious, sincere way! It's not different for different's sake, it's different for *music's* sake, and that's kinda all we should ask for, ya know.?. 😄 Keep up the great work, you guys, and especial congratulations to Teodors!
This is the coolest pedal I’ve seen in 30 years!! The last thing I need is another pedal lol but his one is making it hard. It’s really awesome to see people still churning out new unique exciting ideas that are not just rehashes! Even then taking it to the next level with the knobs functions that gate and sweep wow just wow few pedals go from just being cool to damn wow. Hats off to you
@@GamechangerAudio Got it today and am loving it so far! Can't wait to do some recording with it and experiment with it on different instruments. The visual design of it is a work of art, seeing the light and springs interact with sound is incredibly trippy! Also it shipped from Latvia to Oregon in 3 days which blows my mind. Really awesome guys, you rock! Will be looking forward to trying some of your other pedals and seeing what you do next, cheers!
@@GamechangerAudio excellent pedal but considering how many sounds you can get out of this pedal, it’s really disappointing you can’t save any presets. I’ll be ordering one anyway.
This is great. Might be nice to have a stereo version of the pedal that can handle line-level inputs for synthesizers, etc. Perhaps 2 spring tanks for Left and Right channels) where the lights can move in 2D as opposed to 1D.
Just brilliant- #437 here, I just spent the last hour playing mine lost in a world of reverb. The trem function is a work of art, truly beautiful. The whole thing is superb.
Teo, you asked for feedback, so allow me to offer mine... First of all, thank you for your determination and brilliance. I started playing guitar at age 14, and I'm now 56. My goal was always an attempt to make the electric guitar NOT sound like an electric guitar. For myself, effects of all sorts have been a constant inspiration to find that next "soundscape". As such, when something as revolutionary as the light pedal comes along, it serves to open a new and undiscovered horizon. For that... I thank you. Keep up the great work. (P.S. My Plasma pedal rocks too!)
This pedal really sounds unique and musical. You took the simple spring reverb concept and really evolved into something that's beyond what it could originally do. Cheers!
I have been waiting years now to buy a reverb pedal that blows me & the competition away, and now that my order is in the for light pedal, I can't wait to experiment with sound!
What an amazing pedal, along with the Plasma distortion ones. What an exciting future you have. I can't wait to own both of these, but I need to save money first!
fascinating to hear the story of how this amazing looking and sounding pedal evolved straight from the guy that developed it. One of my favourite pedals is the Plus (which I've had for about 18 months now) - sometimes you get so engrossed in using it and all the sounds it can produce that I realise I'm no longer really playing the guitar but, in reality, actually just playing the pedal. It's so much fun. The Light Pedal is definitely getting ordered when my next paycheck arrives - I can't wait!
ı Will support you guys as much as ı can. ı have an analog setup with includes 20 of pieces however ı Will make a second one which ı setup Just your brands pedals when ı buy all of them ı Will share my musical experience with you because you are the only guys ı admire nowadays Best wishes to your journey ı would like to be a Part of that greetings from UK❤
Brilliant video and concept..can’t wait too see what other gear you come up with in the future and I’ll definitely buy one of these light pedals as soon as I can
This pedal isn't really my vibe (it sounds great but I don't think it'd help me create music) but god damn it is so inspiring to hear the passion when Teo talks about music and engineering, can't wait to see what everyone at GCA does in the future!
passion, yes, but also lack of mature thinking... passion alone is not a certificate that a good product will come out of it today. He's a nerd with his first job and a chance to speak to the world, so of course he has passion and he also has little experience.
Fantastic success! Wow! I see this all over in tests on UA-cam. I'm very interested in the signal process... Watching... Thank you for sharing this! All the best! Michael Francis
Thank you for the kind words, Michael! There's a lot to unpack in the LIGHT Pedal - engineering AND sound-wise, thanks for taking the time to get to know it!
I'm thinking of adding a small variable speed vibrating motor to the box to add a variable mechanical vibration that I can force anytime. Just an idea. Got this pedal in the mail yesterday.
Funny how so many channels are suddenly covering what sounds to me like a fairly ordinary spring reverb. It's got a light in it though. So obviously worth every penny.
It's like any other spring reverb, it will make a thunderclap if you bump it. However it has a shock sensor with different settings just in case you don't want it to go kaboom
I think its the best reverb pedal period, but with current power of ARM processors the future of pedals is software modeling as it's very efficient in terms of power consumption.
interesting but not mindblowing... I think they know this but they plays the "unique" card with any of their experiments to project an image that some people want to buy
When demonstrating a peddle, get it in the signal flow correctly. This is the order of signal flow, it will serve you well to know this. 1. Guitar > any booster > outboard EQ > distortion pedals > the preamp in gain (the preamp for your amplifier) and tone controls > effect loop out > delay > Chorus/flanger > reverb > effects loop in > power side of the amplifier. Your demonstration suffers from not understanding why you apply reverb to a guitar.

The peal sounds wonderful, but seeing this... I feel moved.
Sincere passion made this beautiful.
I'm grabbing one.
Fascinating! Teo radiates highly infectious passion. And this pedal ain't good for my GAS: I've got that itch I've got to scratch!
HELL YEAH!
Extreme happy pre-order #64 right here \m/
HELL YEAH right back at ya, Mick! Thank you for the support! ❤️
This is the only celebrity endorsement any guitar pedal needs 🤟🤯
Awesome job, I own one, got in love with it, is unconventional and makes you come up with new music, thanks Teo and team!

Thanks, James! Glad to see our and Teo's efforts reaching their goal! ❤️

Awesome, Chris! It's interesting to hear Trem in the dynamic setting and play around with the Gate. Have you found any other "tricks" you enjoy?
It is a thrill to work together with Teo :)
Before the year is out I'll get every single Gamechanger Pedal available
Just Love them all
AMAZING PEDAL!! I was a pre-order #332. So glad they were able to get it done even with the pandemic.

Great work! Keep on rocking, GCA and Teo! :)
I just got the Light pedal. You should change your name to Lifechanger Audio!
Very happy with mine #378. It's being used on bass, so quite special.
Rewired my whole pedalboard for it !!
This sounds amazeballs. Incredibly unique and so chimey and shimmery. Can't wait to get one.
Brilliant and thank you for sharing!

A hell of a long wait, but very worth it. Very happy backer here! I backed the Plus too when it came out and have two Plasmas!
That's super cool to hear! Looks like you're truly one of the Gamechangers! Thank you for that!

Congratulations from Dijon, France. I have bought the "light pedal" and the "Plus" pedal on tuesday. They are amazing !
What a great story!
Waiting for mine
This guy RIPS on Wurlitzer! Great pedal too!
You should hear him on a Hammond... Sometimes we wonder if his soul has chosen the right body...
Had the same idea years ago.. Great seeing coming to life
So inspiring and rad to see the process, would love a stereo line level version ⚡ if possible
Love this pedal. I've had it for a month. Impressive. Love this making of video too, congratulations
Just ordered, been fascinated with all your pedals, but this one i simply couldn’t resist. Fabulous ideas behind this reverb.

Hello guys!
What is a Gibson model?
Special?
Funny how so many channels are suddenly covering what sounds to me like a fairly ordinary spring reverb. It's got a light in it though. So obviously worth every penny.
is it microphonic? can it produce feedback effects with ambient noise and external vibrations? what happens if I stomp on it while its on?
It's like any other spring reverb, it will make a thunderclap if you bump it. However it has a shock sensor with different settings just in case you don't want it to go kaboom
Fantastic
Teo is the best!!!
I used to think that we were doomed. After this that went away.
Great work, Teo
