Is it harder for Sarah when speaking in front of a camera? I can imagine it must be quite daunting and unnatural trying to come up with things to say for a youtube video. And just want to say that it's great being able to observe her journey. Thanks!
The truth is that we turn the camera on and we don't really know what we're going to talk about. So Sarah isn't under any pressure. If she had to try to read from a script or rehearse it would be much more stressful and she'd probably clam up. Glad you're watching! :)
That's funny, I didn't notice that! I think it's just a coincidence, we've had a couple of instances when the difference in dialect or language has come up but it hasn't been a problem - and Sarah is probably just as influenced by the American programmes she loves to watch like Kardashians and Real Housewives...
Yes, numbers are hard. The telephone numbers are very hard also, it's like I can't perceive many numbers (example: ###-###-####.) I have to repeat one number at a time for a telephone number. It is very time consuming, but it works for me!
Gulfport - at that time there were no intensive therapy courses in the UK but the NHS is trialling them now. Not nearly as intensive as in the USA but studies show that its a good method to help people with aphasia.
Excellent update. Keep up the great work! Thank you for the post. We are in your corner!
Thank you! x

Go go Sarah! :)
1:16 numbers with an English accent on numb- and American accent on -ers? Is this an effect of the therapy in the USA or am I just hearing bad?

I reckon you're thinking too deeply on that. I didn't notice it.

Where in Florida is this? What caused the decision to go to therapy in another country?
