"Jump" or is it too late to get that body weight program?🥺 I'm 5'9" turning 50 this year and it was always my dream (literally too) to dunk a ball but I gave up too early. My goal is to at least touch the ring again by the end of the year. I unfortunately need to add at least 4" to accomplish that. 😵 I have to take it easy because of my age but I still hope to fulfill that minimum goal. I'm all busy with twin toddlers around. I'm gathering info as of now and slowly adding more leg exercises in my daily routine. By May I hope to go all out in training if possible but still is limited due to lack of time.
This is great advice and guidance. My playing days are over, and I wish this knowledge was around when I was a youngster. I’m still going to incorporate these into my workouts just to strengthen my body/knees. Thanx!
I've never tried the inclined version! I will now. The "non-inclined" version is what I credit to have contributed to my vertical jump, to the greatest extend (and always jumping the highest I could, when attempting to dunk). Great stuff.
Killer collaboration bro you definitely know what to do with knowledge. Definitely a lot of useful tips and information from you both. Definitely been enjoying following you both. Bro you're my coach I implement your training methods weekly and my basketball game at age 39 almost 40 has elevated. Keep up the great work and look forward to more great content and awesome collaborations 🙌🏾👏🏾🙏🏾
Appreciate you bro!! No matter what my videos and thumbnails look like in the future I can say you’ll always be a part of my biggest paradigm shift 🤣 different outlook simply from one comment !
This is the greatest most amazing collaboration (and UA-cam) to have ever upload a video about training and wanting to meet your goals. Nathan is officially GOATED and is already better than Pjf and all these other jumpers
had to look up vmo in chinese olympic lifters and damn you're right. their vmo muscle is so large that its protruding! gonna try these exercises. thanks!
very good video.. I have the same issue that you mentioned about going to the restroom...;o( I will work on this which I am hoping to see improvements.. I don't want to stop playing since I don't have any excuses... my 50 years old legs can still play. thank you
Awesome video! I have unresolved osgood schlatter as an adult in both knees which causes me a lot of pain. Will this also help relive my knee pain as well? If not can you point me to some videos that will? Thank you!
If I doing leg workout/plyo jump in 3 times in a week like for example monday, Wednesday, Friday, then can i do speed training on tuesday, Thursday, Saturday like lateral or ladder, foot work. Or what should i do on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday? 🤔 hope you notice my question 🙏🏽
Two questions, can you do the single leg squat while standing on your toes instead of standing on the slanted wood tool? Wouldn't this the ankle and foot? Also, when doing these, is the cue to push the foot into the ground as hard as you can? Thanks, great video
thanks for the video. I have a question: my knees often make a pop on the eccentric part of a squat when my knees go over my toes, is this normal or should i be concerned?
Great video man and good to see a collab. Where would one get the angled platform for the squats besides building it? Would you also mind sharing what angle(degree) would be ideal?
This is the slant board that I use! amzn.to/2Xgtb66 I use it on the lowest angle and I've had it for about a year now. No complaints at all. I use it for slant board squats, one leg squats, poliquin step ups, calf stretching, etc. It's a game changer.
What about the normal 2 legs workouts that we are doing per week already?! Should we stop doing that if we are doing this??! Or we should add these exercises in those workouts?!! Please reply!🙏
Very cool video here. In the calisthenics community, your one leg squats are called pistol squats. Al Kavadlo is the king of yhem. They do many of the same progressions, but the goal is flat feet. Is that a useful progression for jumping and knee strength? Thanks for the video!
The same exact way that you treat patellar tendonitis! Rehab exercises and stretches will work wonders for you! Also be sure to properly load your tendons if you do a lot of sports and training!

Hey bros Nathanael and KneesOverToes guy, I really like your content of both and loved the video but I have a really big question. The studies say that if the knees past the toes it will hurt the knees and the knees are bones and I dont really know if doing exercises can strength bones like knees or maybe the knees get used to it and I wanted to know how this exercises work in the body. I'd love to read your answer👍✌
How about if I cannot bent my knee all the way? I have had 2 artroscopic surgeries on my left knee (first one being ACL repair replacement). I had a complete ACL tear and the doctor forbidden me from trying to bend my knee all the way which could cause a damage again. What is more, this move is actually painful and if I try to force it my knee gets swollen. Does my doctor not know what is good for me? How can I make that bending deeper without hurting me?
Will this help my knees if my minescus has slipped out in the past? Also my tendons are really loose in my knees, and I have arthritis in them ? Will either of the two exercises help? Thanks!
Question, If the single leg squat is about full knee bend. Does that mean eventually you don’t need a slant board, providing you have the mobility to take it away? What else is the slant board offering besides that? Thanks

Same , seen my guy go from 3k subs to making collabs with the kneesovertoes guy . Couldn't hv been happier for nate .
Thanks babe!!! ♥️♥️
Great colab instead of arguing! I’m sure this has a better outcome for more people.
This is great advice and guidance. My playing days are over, and I wish this knowledge was around when I was a youngster. I’m still going to incorporate these into my workouts just to strengthen my body/knees. Thanx!
I was thinking of making a slant board of my own, which angle you suggest, if not adjustable
25 degrees
I think 40 or 45 degree is what slant board guy makes (that's what BePatrick is using)
He’s back🔥🔥🔥
Yes sir!!
I've never tried the inclined version! I will now. The "non-inclined" version is what I credit to have contributed to my vertical jump, to the greatest extend (and always jumping the highest I could, when attempting to dunk). Great stuff.

I have to get on this and stop playin around!
should you continue to do normal leg workouts (deadlift, RDL, squats, etc.) on top of these or are those not recommended anymore
if its painfree, then its better to do both
This is a cool colab video. Good content too coach. Keep it up!!
Thanks my friend will do!!

This was great, thanks Coach. I'm trying to understand the importance of elevating the heel during the split squat?
Its necesary for him to reach enough depth with the hip.
What if you don’t have a slanted board, what could you use as a substitute?
I dont have a slant board what should I do as a alternative?
Make one
Great video man. Love the content. I have one question, what angle slant board are you using?
please do a vid on shoulder pain if you can please

Hey, Nathanael great video! What can we substitute the platform for squats with?
where can I get the step you're doing the exercise on please??

Are dumbbell squat jumps that fastest/least complicated method to increase vertical jump?
Some days ago Isaiah Rivera did a video on atg and told he did not got his knee pain cured. I can't find that video now maybe he removed.
My left leg is my dominant leg, but is slightly less developed 🤷♂️
