Really great review seeing the small in real use. Your smile on your face when the stove heated up, says everything. And great to see the kettle in good use too. And comforting to see in the other comments, many more small users are happy too.

Thanks 👍love it all. A great close look at the Winnerwell Nomad size small brought me here. I like the Danish M84 camo, It's pattern is great break up for woodland. I've struggled to find the rocket pouches other than in olive or DPM. The pouches look great for keeping organised.

Great review on the Nomad Small ... I have recently bought one and for it's size it definitely punches above it's weight ... love the colour it takes on.
🔥 no issue's to get it going but have learnt various ways to control the heat for heating and cooking and processing wood for best results ...
I decided to load it with coal ontop of the wood embers took around 5-10 to get fully going so adjusted the damper and left it ... I'm looking at the clock now and @4hrs the stove is still glowing red ... not bad for all night heat 👍 ... The coal is great for long term heat but does soot up quickly particularly on the spark arrestor ... but interestingly the 1st 2 section and the stoves is soot free other then the normal ash so obviously much hotter ... so progressily as it gets cooler the soot can't burn off up the flue ... but a small price to pay for long term heat just clean it in the field or back at home 😎 ... tried wood pellets a bit harder to get going but once going good background heat and approx 3 hand fulls is 2.5hr-ish it boiled water in about 30mins ... Next time will try Peat.

Thanks for the advice with the coals I will give it a go, I normally use coal for a open fire when you want to do some cooking then when finished put wood onto the coals and you got a great fire for the night, I will definitely try that out thanks 👍

Hi Dave - great backyard setup and you scored a winner with that tipi - your range of pouches is really extensive now and covers all types of uses - I love using mine, great quality and wouldn't be without them now. Thanks again, cheers, Paul 👍🏻

Great video, thanks Dave. Really informative. Great stove and canteen set too. They've put the price up a bit now but still a nice bit of kit.

Is the garage the main gear room? That tipi looks pretty neat.
I very much want a stove like that but it's hard to justify the cost when I rarely cold weather tent camp.

Dave, I've got the same gloves but I really don't rate the wool liner at all. Try swapping out for a pair of Montane Men's Prism Glove. Perfect fit, low bulk, don;t mind getting wet (Primaloft Gold) and WAYYYY warmer.......

Hi Andy, i have had the glove for about 4 years now and have been good for me but we all have our own opinions on kit which is great it would be boring if we all like the same stuff lol 😂
