Love these old beauties - especially the ingenuity and early innovation. This is a spectacular car (the chrome probably weighs almost as much as the X1/9 😂) and in excellent condition. Halfway through the video I thought “this may be the shortest project ever - we’re gonna change the oil and call it a wrap!”. Have fun with this one and thanks for sharing.
@@alexdigiacomo2805 well there is luckily a few things we can do! We can fix the under seat heater and try to get that working. How often would I use it? Who knows! Would be cool to have though
@@GarageTimeTV for sure. The topside and interior is in pretty darn good shape. As soon as you walked through the underside I thought “ok - there’s the upcoming content”. Digging into that restoration should be fun and will make this a prize winner.
To think you could have had this beast new for about 4K back in '54. Love the chrome.
@@dennisjump8655 crazy how time does that!
HI/Lo brings back memories. They got bought out by O’Reilly in 98. In the 80s there were definitely locations all over Houston and East Texas.
Nice buddy, happy for you

Definitely would have sent a sample of the oil to Blackstone Labs just to see.
@@carlseiler6441 that’s not a bad idea!
Knew it. That bubble nose and slant back gave it away
@@tunerrestorations should’ve been more secretive then!
@@GarageTimeTV I saw that color the skirts and the slanted rear panels in the reflection lol.
@@tunerrestorations cheater lol
