Nice project there! Would be nice to see Fisher Body tag also. But pretty solid starting point. I noticed it has basic Skylark grille and 70/72 hood scoop grilles on it, but correct parts can be obtained as aftermarket items. I have 71 GS350 Convertible here in Finland and just received full floors, trunk pan and quarters from The Parts Place Inc. Good stuff!

Hi from CALIFORNIA SoCal. Opgi here in Seal Beach CALIFORNIA has Buick stuff and look into the BCA Buick Club Of America. I've been with them over 30 years. I have a 67 Special Deluxe bought new by my great grandparents.

Of all the cars Ive owned, INCLUDING my Hemi Challenger, the FASTEST and FUNNEST car I EVER OWNED, was a 71 GS 350 4 speed I bought for a crisp 50.00 bill in 1984. It was a factory freak being a legit 11.90 car is 98 percent stock trim save for a set of Hooker headers and slicks. Factory cam, intake, carb etc. Great find, enjoy!

Putting a 4 speed in this car is something I will be doing. I think headers would really help as well. Thanks for the Comment.

I have to ask, was this from the Livonia area? I bought a 72 skylark, same exact story husband died after collecting them, wife wanted them gone, friend sold them for her. a few other skylarks and gs's left as well.

No it wasnt. In the ozarks in Missouri is where the car came from.

@larryrogers3607 gotcha, I'm just outside of Detroit and your story sounds exactly like mine. I bought an 1800 dollar 72 Skylark 350. He has a 71 gs 455 for 4500 and another clean Skylark for 7000 as well as some parts cars. This was about a year ago. Good luck with the car!

Nice find. Be thankful it doesn’t have a vinyl top. I had a 71 Skylark & when I took the vinyl off. The rotten A-pillars came with it omg😮! Best of luck with Her 🫡

Thank you. The vinyl tops really do hold moisture very badly. The guy I bought this from had a 1969 Buick GS 400 for sale as well and the vinyl top had completely rotted the top of the car.
