I found it easier to glue the full sole onto my boots prior to cutting flush, allowed for a little bigger margin for error and with c clamps (with a thin shim) opposed to ole glory duct tape. Id also suggest a quick dab of the same adhesive on the studs before screwing them in fully (just ensures a full life of wear and tear) otherwise great video
I've never had any screws come out and I don't glue them. When they wear down to almost nothing, I replace them and they are still in pretty tight requiring pliers to grip them and unscrew...

They look like nice thick felt. What brand are they?

What adhesive did you use?
+Woodswalker 1 The replacement soles come with a glue called Barge cement, also available at Tandy leather stores.
I was told by a Fly Fisherman you can you Carpet on the Bottom instead of Felt.
I doubt it would grip anything nearly as well though.
