Thank you for sharing this information, I’ve just repaired my Orvis boots using your help. 2 days fishing on the tweed with good boots, thanks again.

Hi Matt! This process did work. I have used the boots 3 or 4 times since this video and I've had no problems so far (my river is very rocky too so my soles are at all angles wading upstream). The only issue I can find so far is the gluing of the heel transition where the felt sole didn't stick to the mid sole for what ever reason but hasnt caused a problem yet. Some people tack the felt sole to the mid sole. Not sure if that would solve the issue but for the price of some glue I'd say it's definitely worth trying to fix them. Just soak the soles in hot water for 5 or 10 mins to make it easier to remove the damaged sole. I will get an update video done this evening if I have time so you can have a visual of what I mean. Thanks for viewing too much appreciated 🙏

You really should not have to do this, after all you paid good money for them. Do these companies carry out any tests

@martincorcoran8263 Hi Martin, i bought these in a used condition as I was desperate to get back out in my local river which I probably should have mentioned in the video to be fair. Reason being, I had another pair of these whilst out in the river on a previous session when the pair I was originally wearing the whole mid sole came off the left boot and floated away down stream. I had an extremely difficult and dangerous time getting back up stream to say the least!
I do like the look of these boots and they are comfortable to wear but I won't be buying these again. Im new to fly fishing and my own fault for buying used and the same pair that originally caused me problems 🤦 I agree with what you are saying though. Types of boots is definitely something I need to brush up on though so I can choose more wisely. Thank you for commenting and watching. It's much appreciated! All the best 👍
