Excellent video! as far as the track goes. what I did is just took out the hex head screws put in longer screws so they would be proud on the bottom then put the aluminum track back in the slot on the saw and took a socket that would be bigger than the screw head that I used for the longer screw and placed it over the top of the screw head and tap down on The socket with a hammer forcing that wedge up into that aluminum track. now this is the good part. Once that wedge spread the aluminum track wide enough to where it was a tight fit in the slot of the table saw. I took the screws out and put the hex heads back in and tightened them down to an exact fit with no real pressure on that little hex head screw. it was a piece of cake. Hope that helps people just getting theirs put together gives them an idea for another option.
They spread at the bottom and don't work good for t slots. I finally dumped the incra extrusions and stop. Replaced it with a kreg extrusion and stop that make it safer and easier to use. Thanks for watching.
Excellent video, and I appreciate your covering the benefits of extending the fence to the offcut side of the blade… I think all our customers should install a wood sub fence first thing, and I always leave 6” - 8” of the sub fence extending past the blade.
A wood sub fence subtracts from the zero clearance capacity of the sled so I feel off the end is the best way to go for this setup. I will update it with a machined aluminum support system that uses small disposable plywood inserts when I have time. Thanks for watching.
You can add a 3/4" wood or MDF sub fence to your Miter 5000 fence > The two-part body design of the INCRA Flip Shop Stop allows for use with up to a 3/4” thick wooden sub fence. To expand the INCRA Flip Shop Stop, loosen the (2) socket head screws located on the top of the stop body, then slide the upper portion of the stop off. Now slide the upper portion back on, capturing the rectangular nuts in the second T-slot located on the lower portion (gold component) of the stop body. I know this because I have one

I agree with you on using a pusher.. I have a sled on my table saw it’s a handy tool a tablesaw ,but they are dangerous. I like your setup looks real slick.
A pusher is not "safer", it creates a place to put your hand right in the path of the blade. I believe that is why Incra doesn't include something like that stock. It is handy for zero clearance in the back, but not a safety feature.
One of the best tools I have it really excels at repetitive cuts I cut all my rails and stiles on it so they all end up the same size far more accurate then any chop saw on the market and I'm using a festool miter saw

Thanks for the video. Was just about to purchase the INCRA jig. I’ll spend more and buy the SawStop sled. Way too many quality issues. And looks like an accident ready to happen.

Great ideas, thank you very much. How about when you’re doing angle cuts? Do you pull back the fence, that is no pusher bit? For straight cross cuts, I wonder why there is no standard option to attach the fence to the support platform and make it a two sided sled.
I believe the stop tightens to the fence, so that board end butts up against it. Then you can have repeatable cuts of the same length. I suppose then, that this system is missing a way to hold a board tight against the fence. Probably some sort of addon you can attach to do that.
I got rid of the Incra extrusions in another video. It was a PIA to use and I replaced it with a simple Kreg extrusion that is easier to use and safer. Thanks for watching.
I had that same problem with my track, very, very frustrating, I thought my wrench they supplied was going to brake lol. after some modifications I made it work. also my sled was missing the ruler tape I contacted Mark and they did send one right out. I was disappointed with the quality myself. I got it as a xmas gift or to be honest I would have returned it. I used the directions on which side of the blade to put the sled with the angle of the blade as the factor. I wish I put it on the other side since I don't believe I'll be using it on 45 degree cuts. I'll prolly order another drop off table and flip it.
I am definitely glad that I got it on sale or I would have returned it also. I expected better quality for the price point but it seems that many companies these days choose profits over quality. At least it works good. I have been using it a lot for dados and am glad I didn't follow their mounting instructions. Thanks for watching.

One of the most enjoyable videos I've watched. Well done! I'm still confused, however, on the benefits of your extended push fence arrangement compared to a wooden sub fence that extends the same distance out. I've read all the comments including the one from an Incra representative. I have the Miter Express and use a sub fence that extends out about 6 inches. It does provide zero clearance and a great way to line up the cut. Its also easy to add a new clearance by simply sliding the fence along 1/2". The only advantage of your arrangement as I see it is safety. Using a thick block or even an extra block at the back stops the blade from coming out the back which is a good idea. Is there another benefit(s) that I've missed?
I have a more recent video about tossing all the complicated incra fence parts and replacing them with a simple kreg extrusion and stop that makes it safer and gives a wider cut. Thanks for watching.

I really like it but I have to be extra careful as I have a Sawstop so I'd have to cut the slot in the extrusion with another tool or put the saw in bypass mode which I don't like doing. I remember setting off the brake once when I accidentally cut through some of this adhesive tape which I found out the hard way is made of metal. A costly mistake. Anyway this looks like a great solution and I will investigate further.

I put a strip of wood under the left side that allows it to hang on the shelf next to the saw. Has a hole for a pin to keep it fron slipping off. Thanks for watching.
They put an 800 number in the directions for a reason. If you find issues with the product then you need to call and tell them so they can check for these problems in the production of the product. You don’t call they just keep making without knowing about it. Any company can make mistakes in production of anything. No ones is perfect on this planet including incra.
Incra definitely isn't perfect. I sent them a link to the original video and they did send out a aluminium rail that still was junk and a clamp arm that had a decent finish. I always show exactly what I receive and it sounds like others have found the same quality lately. In my last video I just showed how the main board is buckling between the screws killing the accuracy and contacted them. They are sending out a replacement. Spend more time fixing it . I have had much better products from China lately. The whole stop system is an awkward to set design from 50 years ago that takes forever to set. This was a big waste of money in my book. Just stating my honest opinion. Thanks for watching.

Also going to add a blade shield becaus the sliding red table distracts from it .

Those small cutoffs are what get you. I was trying to keep the 18 inch supported cut and this is the easiest way. Thanks for watching.

It has holes in it. Just throw it over a nail on the wall.
