The biggest reason you want to use glass cleaner on the CLOTH first is so that you don't accidentally get moisture building up inside the frame! Of course, spacers will help to prevent this but I would NEVER spray cleaner or any type of fluid directly onto the glass -- it can seep underneath the frame rabbet and that is not good.

Can you use a piece of cedar sheet instead of the traditional card board as long as the cedar width is the same as card board?

What's the frame size

This was a couple of years ago but we always make the frame proportional to the object being framed. With custom picture framing there is no standard size so to speak. Kind regards, David Schummy.
