Thanks for making this, my favourite VH song! Ed’s playing was so experimental and cool in the last half of the 90’s, I wish they made more full albums with this style
Knowing how utterly great he was/is, I still listen to this and shake my head in awe. The guy just had a channel to something that nobody else has ever had. It takes your breath away. All you can say is, Edward Van Halen.
It's crazy to think This was the last song the original four recorded together David lee Roth came back in 2012 but wolfie is Took mike's place In 06, In my opinion Dave wasn't at his best During recording this song Most likely because he blew out his vocal cords at the age of 42 years old. Keep up the great work man , I will Forever be a subscriber! Good job!
Can't get this stuff no more contains Dave's highest note ever, though...maybe his voice was no longer the one we are used to think about, but I don't know if saying his voice was in bad shape is correct
@@srincidentanything in particular? It’s got a nice chorus with a great sounding echo backing vocal, interesting musical textures, I acknowledge this is WAY more prog than 80s Halen, but I still think it’s one of their best. Right up there with Unchained, Running with the Devil, Somebody Get me a Dr, etc.
@@EKNYR it was definitely prog for VH. I didn't mind that, so much. For me, it's Dave's presence on the song. I didn't like his vocal performance, overall. And, to be fair, I was really sore about the VH brothers firing Sam.
@@srincident fair enough-we must just have different taste. To me, mwm is VH taking everything they learned from Sammy’s time and going back to what made them excellent to begin with. Happy to disagree though
Can’t believe this isn’t on everyone’s top 5 VH songs.
One of the most underrated
I used to love it as a kid now i think its a little overrated
It's def in my top 5
Only a genius like Ed could do this..

One of my favorite songs from Van Halen
Yes! Nice to hear Eddie breaking out of his old playing habits and pushing the envelope again!

That extro solo always gives me goosebumps.
Outro excellence!
One of the greatest vh songs of all time ❤
Unmatched
Epic... Forever Van Halen

@@frankscassi4960 his vocal cords were destroyed in 1996, probably from all that falsetto he did through the years
Roth came back in 07 not 12.
@ yeah, my bad lol
That sustainer at the end though...
Amazing
Damn good stuff
These two 96 Roth songs were some of the best stuff they ever did. Pity Ed couldn’t hold it together.
Man, 4:40 incoming 🔥 🔥 🎸
I can’t do that!

I've been a Van Halen fan since 1978 and I'm just not that impressed with this song, overall. It's better as a instrumental for sure.
Maybe I’m crazy but I think this is easily one of the ten best tracks they ever did.
@@EKNYR I can't stand it.
