Very helpful video. I’m also carving a violin back. I’m learning a lot from this video.
I left 1/4 inch excess after sawing out outside contour of my violin back. Probably too
much? It will just take extra time to trim it off. Thanks for this video.

Thanks. 1/4 inch as a margin of safety is alright, just left lesser next time if you think that’s too much.

Watch and learn , there are many videos with verbal , if you understood the process you wouldn’t be asking for verbal on a violin build , I thought it’s obvious what he is doing , just sayin.
