TOOL ARMY REPORTING FOR DUTY! ✌️
You fucking rock SupervisedChaos, thank you for this reaction request as well!! David, most definitely a chill track....a long intro AND a great score?! Great content!
The middle piece of the holy trinity Disposition, Reflection, Triad. 🔥🔥. I agree it's a relaxing, spacious track
When I listen to Tool, I instinctually close my eyes and direct all my attention into hearing the music. The only band that makes me do that.
One of my top five for sure.
the holy trinity scratches my brain in just the right way.... for me it is the perfect way to chill out.
the entire last song from tool that you reacted to from tool (disposition) was also the intro to this song.
Great review. This is one where I just put the headphones on, close my eyes, sit back and relax. It sets a real vibe.
Now I just need to learn the bass line and play along.
Tool army from Italy!here I'm!Just to enjoy the ride!this song is a masterpiece!good job in this reaction sir!
Right on great score fun video. Just want to reiterate this and the my last request are part 1 & 2 of 3 parts. I hope you seen that in my request
Definitely a chill track
Self reflection...
i will die on the hill that this is, generally speaking, Tool's best song. not necessarily my favorite, but it's their best song. Thanks Dave!
Nice TAKE, David! ✌️
Reflection is technically the second part of a 3 song epic, "Disposition"-"Reflection"-"Triad"
As many have already stated in the comments, Reflection is the middle track to the "Holy Trinity" (as the Tool Army refers to it)
Initially, the full composition was a 20+ minute song that comprised of Disposition, Reflection and Triad... but later indexed into 3 tracks for the album's release. Reflection is the bulk of the trilogy, as far as length and lyrically... but it is more of a vibe in dynamics and minimalism, like a meditational piece.
I'm sure the Tool fans would love to see you react to the full "Trilogy" version someday to get your thoughts.
Dude you could easily do a full album reaction still and we'd all be here for it. This album was meant to be listened to in its entirety
This isn't the last song on the album, but this song does contain the last words spoken.
(not counting Faaip De Oiad)
Very powerful stuff.
Crucify the ego.
Before it's far too late.
Before we pine away.
Anyways, Spiral out everybody
Yay! More tool! 🌀
I want you to react to every tool song!!
I'm working on it... I think I'll skip the filler bits like intermission, eon blue apocalypse etc
@@supervisedchaos in the context of a full album listen they are excellent palette cleansers, as they are intended to be.
Until a band member or producer answers the question, we're all just guessing. But I think the instrument being played in the intro is a Dilruba with distortion.
This is one of my all-time favorite Tool songs.
It's time for some self reflection, such a perfect name for this masterpiece!
What I've read is the mystery 'instrument' is Adam's guitar played with a violin bow, piped through a talk box.
This is definitely my kind of chill & relax track.
Wonderful! 🥳
Time for "10000 days wings pt2", their most emotional song
This whole album is amazing! I hope you get the chance to listen to it in full one day.
Probably my favorite Tool song 🤘🌀
Best part of the HT!
Personal favorite Tool song. Almost impossible to pick but this one is no. 1.
Disposition/ Reflection/ Triad are great for long car rides. They can make 23 mins feel like 8. And they said time travel wasn't possible. I'm so glad you realized Reflection goes into another song. The trinity make much more sense, in regards to song structure, when you hear all 3 together, not blaming you BTW. Cheers Dave.
💯
I put them on while coming home from an hour long drive last night. It was really late, and kinda scary (we are having wind gusts of like 80mph). But these tracks completely calm me down and help the drive go quickly.
I always felt like Adam was using an e-bow for the "violin" bit.
It's Trinity man! Listen to again 😄😅
this song is quite a bit more heavy when you consider the content of the lyrics.
and listen to the entire holy trinity. 😉
Tool gives you something pop radio can't.
This is my dmt song
Please do a reaction for The Offspring's "Pay the Man"
It's David's LO FI TOOL. LOL. ✌️
react to all three of them separately... then react to them all together.
The instrument in the beginning sounds like an Indian Erhu to me. It's uncanny.
What!? This is trilogy!!!!!!
Could it be a duduk on top of a violin? I've known this song for a long time but it being just a violin never felt correct to me.
It sounds like a didgeridoo. ✌️
No. A didgeridoo sounds completely different
the instrument in question i believe is a theremin. one of the most interesting that you'll never encounter. look it up. they're insane.
I don't see any point in this "trilogy" as a whole as the songs are barely connected in any meaningful way.
Everyone says it’s a violin or some sort of stringed instrument in the intro but to me sounds way too much like Maynard’s voice in timbre to not be him imo
I thought I was the only one who thought it sounded like maynard lol
