Great video, thank you for the info. I'd like to ask you a question. If I'm using a DJI O3 Air Unit on an AtomRC Swordfish can I also use a DJI FPV Controller 2 to control the aircraft? I'm pretty sure I can, but wondering if you knew. Waiting for my setup to arrive.
I also think, this was the 3d Max Speed in a dive or with massive tailwind I only get 150 km/h out of my latest spec wing. After some aerodynamic optimizations it maxes out at 185 km/h (flat and without wind). Your setup have a few drawbacks for Hight-Speed. The dolphin is fairly heavy. And a High-C Lipo is mandatory for Speed-Runs. And surely you get a better topspeed with a better aerodynamic without your outsticking Pan-Camera, the big VTX-Antenna and the Runcam in the back.
im trying to hit 150mph in my penguin. i did 136 3D speed and about 126 GPS. im gonna tune the settings and minimize drag. should hit 140mph soon. i have a dolphin too and i want to get it up there as well. can you do 3 motors? also a fresh battery is needed for each run. voltage sag will kill your bat on the 1st run.
That’s max 3d speed that INav shows in the final stats. So ya he was probably in a steep dive off camera to get to that speed. Especially considering that his amps were lower at the higher speed.
I saw that video too and immediately thought I need to smoke him lol. I’m going totally overboard now, putting on an iFlight 3110 1600kv, a 80amp esc and I found a 7x11 Apc prop lol I don’t think that will work but I’ll try anyway. I’ll probably just rip the motor off the plane but I don’t care, challenge accepted lol let’s all try to smoke that guy

I agree that video is BS. I'm pulling right at 50amps on one single 28mm motor and can hit 110mph without wind with a 6 inch three blade prop. Happy 420, guess I gotta post my dolphin speed run now
@@fp-AvERY hey what pitch angle is that 7” prop you’re using? I’m thinking about going 8-9” for this suicide ahem “speed run” lol but I think 7’s seem to have better results for top end it would seem.
@@BabaYagaFPV I'm using some gemfan 6042. I also have some HQ 7X3.5 but have not tried them out yet. My wings are starting to bend at full throttle, I'm working on reinforcing them now

Your plane is covered in accessories. Put everything inside and compare. Of course thats a pain if you already have everything working and its fast enough

Ive hit 122. with 2 motors id think 130 should be fairly easy for you. might need higher kv motors and definitely a 100c+ lipo.

I know it is, this plane is more plastic than foam. I remove the thumb cam, the big ass air intake, then i may be pick up at most 5mph I think.
