The Story of BLINDFOLDED Super Mario 64 Randomizer

- What if someone would combine blindfolded runs and randomizers into one crazy speedrun? Bubzia did exactly that: Creating a new way of playing and speedrunning the Super Mario 64 Randomizer while blindfolded. How it all started? Summer Games Done Quick 2024...
The basic idea of the blindfolded randomizer SM64 run is inspired by blindfolded cubing, where the timer actually already starts on the memorization part and not only when blindfolded. Bubzia transfered this approach to random seeds and created a way to play the game by memorizing, routing, and performing random seeds, in the first half visually, then blindfolded.
What started out as a fun little idea, very soon became serious business, as a showcase of this run got accepted to the biggest speedrunning event in the world: SGDQ 2024.

My mouth dropped over and over again while I was watching through your blindfolded SGDQ run! This level of precision and dedication really inspires a sort of fever pitch of faith and wonder in your audience... it's like watching a professional athlete-you know they've dedicated countless hours to honing their performance... it's just a feat of human ability...! And to see it all happen in a RANDOMIZER...!
I'm a long-standing speedrunning viewer, but I've never been all that interested in SM64 runs before... you're really doing something special here!

8:20 why not load/start music after loading the objects? Also I wonder if it's possible to do a run without scouting, although it might not be speedy
I dont exactly know how the code works but the dev said it would be too hard to implement now. Without scouting, I managed to grab 1 star in like 1000 resets, so no I dont think its possible haha
I have a hard time doing racing games and mario games blindfolded
I couldn't be on last stream cause wifi broke yesterday but that doesn't matter because what really matters is to wish you a gl on a SGDQ speedrun (even with mistakes) 🍀💪

I dont htink you will see this but maybe try blinfolded runs on celesta and last of us series since they do make game easier if you blind
