Written, composed, and produced by Michael Jackson and Bill Bottrell. This wasn't released in the US as a single. It reached #2 in the UK in February 1993 from his 1991 album, Dangerous. This is one of my favourite MJ tracks.
Adel Skywalker the only way you could compare the two is if MJ was trying to sound like the Beatles, but he wasn’t. But in my opinion I like MJ’s vocal approach on the song, but I’m not saying his is better than the other I’m saying why I like his. I’m sure MJ wouldn’t want us to compare artists to each other, he would want us to appreciate want the artists have to offer. It’s funny because all these MJ people who praise him like a god get so defensive about who is the best when MJ wouldn’t want that haha
Leo even if you someone asks what version do you like better, they get all defensive and shit. If Idk it’s only the one who are insanely crazy about him
"Give in to Me" is my favorite Michael Jackson song! I can listen to this song over and over again, forever! I like the part when there is the switch to "love is a feeling". This songs really shows that Michael had so many different talents. He could do rock, pop, hip hop, gospels, rhythms and blues, r&b music. In that performance he looked quite handsome by the way. This is a real rock song, emotional to the same time. Thank you so much for your interpretation.
This came out in ‘91 on the “Dangerous” album🔥. This the album with “Jam”, “Remember the time”, “In the closet”, “Who is it”. My personal favorite from him embracing new jack swing and getting more nitty gritty from the polished sound of the”Bad” album.
That's one of the things I love about Michael's albums, that he would put "Give In To Me" on the same album as something like "Remember the Time." He was never one note
Here are some Michael's other rock influenced tracks: Beat It, Come Together, Morphine, State of Shock, D.S., Privacy, We've Had Enough, and (I Can't Make It) Another Day
Wow, great combination between the greatest entertainer of all time and the greatest guitarist, amazing. It's a powerful song, honestly this is my therapy song. I miss you Mike rest in peace.
This is in my top 10 MJ songs ever!! Michael LOVED him some Slash!! Prince did too!! He got to work with both!! I'm sure it's been mentioned that he did another song with him a decade after this called Privacy!
Fun fact, "Slash" is actually half black and white. His mom is black which explains the hair and the since of rhythm. You should look into the singer Lenny Kravitz, he's like our Jimmy Hendrix.
He was a genius with a IQ of 168. He was an artist too. His pencil drawings and paintings are incredible. If he had lived past this is it, he wanted to go into movie directing.
I've heard that one day Michael was at the studio and a very drunk Slash went over and told Michael that he did not knew how he ended up in there, Michael tought it was very funny and they started making this song
I never heard this story. Slash said that he was called by Jackson to meet him for lunch. Michael was on a date with Brooke Shields and Michael gave him the music. Slash went on to say that Michael told him to work on the music and he would consider his changes as final. Go and see U Tube with Slash it's all there and documented.
Hey, Jack! New subscriber here! I came along to a MJ reaction of yours yesterday. Watched all of the earlier reactions to him aswell, and a couple other vids. Love your reactions! Good to see you giving MJ the love and respect he deserves. I am a big fan of his since I was 7 or 8 years old. Couple of songs of him to react to that are not that well known by mainstream audiences: Loving You, Cheater and I Can't Help It are amazing!! And you said that you are not familair with rock. It's not my fav genre aswell, but there are some great rock songs! If you want to get into it a bit more Queen is a good place to start. They have many classic songs, just like MJ! Keep it up!!
"Sup Jack! I loved the react! Fun fact: This video was filmed in 2 hours! Why? Well, as another comment down below said, it's because Michael and his crew were in crunch-mode for his upcoming Dangerous tour which Slash also made a couple of special appearances on for at least 3 shows between 1992-1993. The song also came about pretty naturally in the studio through Michael finding his co-writer and co-producer Bill Bottrell on the guitar and them just starting a jam session that, in two hours {again lol} became the bulk of Give in To Me.

It's a full rock song
Michael did a remake of the Beatles
"Come Together " that my favorite of his rock numbers. He put the Beatles to shame.

'Cause all she does is throws it back to me
I've spent a lifetime lookin' for someone
Don't try to understand me
Just simply do the things I say
Love is a feelin'
Give it when I want it
'Cause I'm on fire
Quench my desire
Give it when I want it
Talk to me, woman
Give in to me
Give in to me
You always knew just how to make me cry
And never did I ask you questions why
It seems you get your kicks from hurtin' me
Don't try to understand me
Because your words just aren't enough
Love is a feelin'
Quench my desire
Give it when I want it
Takin' me higher
Love is a woman
I don't wanna hear it
Give in to me
Give in to me
You and your friends were laughin' at me in town
But it's okay and it's okay
You won't be laughin', girl, when I'm not around
I'll be okay
And I, I'd never find
Better, a peace of mind, no
Don't try to tell me
Because your words just aren't enough
Love is a feelin'
Quench my desire
Give it when I want it
Takin' me higher
Talk to me, woman
Love is a feelin'
Give in to me
Give in to me
Give in to me
Oh, love is a feelin'
I don't wanna hear it
Quench my desire
Takin' me higher
Tell it to the preacher
Satisfy the feelin'
Give in to me
Give in to me
I don't wanna, I don't wanna
I don't wanna hear it
Give in to the fire
Talk to me, woman
Quench my desire
I'd like a lady
Talk to me, baby
Give in to me
Give in to the fire
Give in to me
Give in to me
Give in to me
Oh-whoa, give in to me
Give in to me
Give in to me
Give in to me
'Cause I'm on fire
