I have a Radcliffe Le Dome, which has almost the identical case and crystal, although a different dial layout (it has hour and minute disks together with an open heart balance in a regulator arrangement). I really like the shape, but one problem is the refelectivity of the crystal, which I think is inherent in high dome shape. You can see the extreme bounceback in the video. It makes reading the watch from directly overhead in moderate light very difficult. From a horizontal perspective, however, the refectivity is not a problem and actually is a better way to read the time on the watch in any event as you point out.
It’s an interesting watch. I’d love to see you reviewing more French brands / micro brands. As a frequent visitor to the east of France and Switzerland (Morteau / Besançon / Le Locle, etc), I’d be interested to know what I brands I should be looking out for. 🇫🇷 🏴
dude this watch is made by a chinese factory and being sold under different brand names. this and the 3 wheels watches for sure, from what i saw on your video i got the same watch 8 months ago under oblvlo brand name for 270$ i also have the oblvlo joker and the oblvlo star wheel with the averturine dial the strap smells bad like gasoline or oil and its not real sapphire mine had a loose hour wheel and i had to open the watch and fix it myself, aliexpress refunded me 40$.
I do like this unique design ... Maybe not a everyday watch but a statement piece like the Ciga you showed in the intro. Wish the specs were better (NH35 or Miyota 9015) including better lum. Specs NEED to be better to justify the cost especially considering no bracelet. Design 👍 specs for cost 👎
It is an intriguing watch, too thick for daily wear, but I can see why people would buy it. I'm not sure why they chose the 8 series Miyota, but I suppose the nh35 is thicker and the 9 series more expensive.
Not only do I reiterate that this is identical to the chinese brand Oblvlo. I believe both of these watches are copies of the Behrens'. Please do an addendum to the video to comment on this. The watch enthusiast should check brands that have this type of rebranding practice to keep the industry honest.
High cool factor but very low long term interest. Its one of those you buy, wear twice and then toss in the orphan watch box. If your collection needs a novelty watch its 100% Mr Jones.
This same watch had been available for a year or two with several different name brands using the same watch on ali express. This watch is no different
This is a cool, different watch that I would probably wear a few times a year. At sub-$200, I'd probably buy one. At the actual price, not worth the cool factor to me.
Its a pretty watch. But $500/$550 for a 8215 isnt in my book. Also, its a bug novelty piece and i just don't have opportunities to wear a novelty watch. If i go out, I wesr my Vario Empire Mechanical. Or some orher equally pretty watch. This one is too much if a cuff buster.
One for those who value complication over substance in my view. It is becoming more common, but rarely leads to truly impressive or successful watches. Here, for example, I find the practicality of reading the time really flawed and in spite of the inspiration, just about everything seems an odd mix of styles and unattractive fonts. Naturally, that's the kind of beauty that's in the eye of the beholder. Comparing to Radcliffe's take, while hardly more successful as a watch, as an object I find that far more attractive.
Omnis seems to be hold by a nice guy, but it's not working for me, something fishy about their models. I hope someday it will lift up, but today it's just drop shipping to me.
I really like alternative ways of telling the time
It looks like a fun and interesting watch.
Love that dome
Thanks mate!
What a fun watch. Nicely done
Génial cette tocante!!!!
Interesting looking timepiece.

Agree. I seen the same watch on the OBLVLO website.
Thanks for the video. It is interesting. Cheers!!
@@BCallum It is I who thank you my friend 👍
How do you change/replace strap without disaster results in style/fit?
I just bought a TITONI Cosmi king 737-sc for 8usd. You think its a good buy?
Waiting for the Marchand themed swimmers watch ;)

I’d also like a pair of spectacles that turn everything upside down and a car I have to steer with my tongue.
Great comment. Greatly appreciated.
With driverless cars one doesn't even need a tongue...
😂
That is weird

@@karlsenula9495 totally! A Miyota would be great and they I would have nothing to object

I genuinely like it. It’s just a hair overpriced IMO. I would pay $400 for it for sure. Thanks for the great and honest review!

Got to work on the thickness 😅

From what the owner tells me the design was stolen from him by his previous manufacturer in China...

It's not even close to being hemispherical. It's ugly, too.
Very cool... But no..
Sorry, but that wouldn't be worth the cost (to me) even if it was free.
That movment is obsolete.
It had hacking added a couple of years ago and is still Miyota's entry level mechanical movement.
Love it! Hope they send to USA 🙂
You can have them all!
Much to much for an ugly novelty watch.
