I use both. But use my laser for precise yards from 35 yds to 90yds as I have set swings for my 3 wedges (40 , 50 , 60 , 70 yards) so can dial in.
Great system Andy 👍
I’m a rangefinder person myself
I do like the certainty of a range Finder 👍
I used to use a rangefinder all the time Craig, then Debi bought me a Garmin S70 for our Anniversary and I don’t use anything else now. So easy and quick to use, I’m not good enough to need the accuracy of the rangefinder anymore and a quick glance when I get to my ball can show me everything (almost) that I need to know…even ‘plays like’ for weather/wind/altitude if it’s connected to my phone 😳
Loved seeing those holes again. 7 & 8 are a cracking couple of holes, those houses to the right of the 8th tee…how cool would it be to live there? Hmmm or the ones by the 15th tee, or 3rd medal tee…actually the whole village is beautiful, shame it’s located in the wrong County 😉
Yes everyone is envious of the house on the right of 8 with the deck and hot tub by the river. Such a beautiful spot on the course.

how often do golf balls bounce off that train i wonder?
Ha, most stop to let the train go past but plenty hit one onto the railway lines hoping it will bounce back in bounds
do you think a 15hncp is capable of 3/4 yard accuracy? Speed up play !!!
Every golfer whatever ability is entitled to prepare for their shot the best they can... 👍
How does the GPS watch know the flag placement? You can get a read to the "center of the green" but not neccessarily the flag with the GPS watch, no?
Correct but you can work that out by using both.
If the GPS is saying 130F-145M-155B and the range finder is saying 136 then you know the flag is on the front if the hole is uphill and you cant see the flag position.
Thanks for the comment
you can drag the flag on the s70 watch
