No one: Me the entire video: 🙏 This video took an eternity to make (they all do...) - bear with me! If you want the Spotify playlist I made at 4:02 the link is in the description, and I might update it here and there. See you all soon with that super cinematic next video...
His advantage is that he’s an artist first, editor second. He’s truly mastered art, sound, color theory - which is why his work is light years ahead of most.
The fact that such high-quality wisdom is freely available truly gives me hope for the world. I deeply appreciate the time, effort, and dedication you consistently invest in creating these videos.
This is great! Less is more is one of my guiding principles, and I love the way you broke it down. Also, the chopped method.. I'm definitely trying this with my next edit
so i was stuck with a project (i suck at motion graphics) and clearly didn't wanted to binge on youtube, glad i found your video you just give me so many ideas without even a tutorial.. thanks man..
Seriously, YOUR VIDEOS ARE INSANE!! The quality of content, writing, delivery, flow, editing, sound, text and visuals is out of this world! I was recently editing a video, and needed some help with sound design, so I found your video on sound and it literally changed my entire sound perspective when editing my videos. Also, the intro on this video in crazy! I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It reminds me of the editor Hayden Hillier Smith, and is at a level I hope to reach some day. Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to make videos like these!! This is the second video of yours that I've watched, and I just subscribed so I'm looking forward to seeing all your future projects!!!
Yo the editing on this is absurd 🔥Not just flashy retention-based stuff but really focused elegant graphics in the background that doesn't distract from your ideas!
GREAT COMMENT-Taking the time to count the graphics is doing too much, but it yielded a clever insight on the concept. Thank you for opening up my mind and leading me to this conclusion…. There is no Universal answer that applies to every creative situation, trying to find one is cyclical toil and ultimately fruitless.
This reminds me of the Navy SEALS concept of "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast." Which means slow is fast. They use it to help slow down the mind and make more precise, controlled decisions, resulting in fewer casualties and more clarity of direction. Your visual style & messaging are both fun and helpful - thanks for refining it for us! Cheers, you earned a subscriber :)
Honestly as an editor I'm subscribed to so many different tutorial channels that help with editing but by far your channel is the most valuable and jaw-dropping in terms of what story telling/animation/sound design should look/feel like. Hats of to you man, I hope one day I can come close to your level.
This is what the internet was made for. You are definitely one of my favourite artists ever. Every creator needs to watch this video, not only is it visually appealing but the messages are the core aspects of improving yourself as a creator. This goes without saying, the graphics are excellent, each graphic tells a story of its own ya know? Thank you for an amazing video as always.
I've been actually feeling the same thing as you for like 6 months or so, and even if i may be a bit of an hypocrite cause i give tips that i also struggle to follow: i think that this video is more about doing More things that incorporate Less Is More, so that when you are doing your thing you'll get better at getting More simple and straight forward things that are simple and works the best
It’s also about who you ask advice from. You can’t just ask for advice on cutting grass from a baker, unless the baker also cuts grass on the weekends. Either way it’s better to find someone that has immersed themselves into whatever you’re interested in doing. They took the risks and it landed them somewhere most people didn’t believe was possible. Really great video 🔥💫
I started watching this video thinking it was a random UA-camr and because it's an interesting topic. A few seconds in, it dawned on me; this has to be Sky.
This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen. I love the production value and the concise nature of the material. It perfectly illustrates everything you’re talking about in the video. Subscribed.
Forcing yourseld to use what you have really works. I am fortunate enough to have some plugin libraries due to my student status, and I'm forcing myself to use 3 new plugins for each new project. My results have been astonishing! I'm definitely excited for that next project of yours, you always put out the best of the best on UA-cam.
Hey, greetings from Germany, your Videos are helping me a lot. Im just getting started with Video Creation, Editing and working with clients. At the moment I feel kinda stuck, this video helped me to get out of my selfbuild prison in my head, by changing my perspective. Keep up the good work and thank you.
The amount of work that went into this video is insane. At the same time, everything is so seamless you don't even feel it. I suppose that's the whole point of the message you're conveying here. Thank you for sharing your talent and thoughts with the world, it's needed and the work you're doing matters a lot to a lot of people. I once heard someone say "Less is only more if you know what more is." I think about that a lot. And while it might sound contradictory to your message, I don't think that it is. What I hear you saying in this video is that we need to be constantly exploring our process and digging into our creative decision making in order to handle constraints with a larger toolbox. The 'more' is the skills and influences we collect, and the 'less' comes from our ability to choose well.
Lots of great points & fantastic ways of demonstrating them. Your examples of "Getting it out of your system" and then editing afterwards is spot on, I realise I do it with almost everything. It's a step that a lot of current trends are missing - especially those over the top social edits that throw every effect/transition into the mix without any purpose other than "add more". Side note, have you ever struggled with procrastination/ADHD type stuff at all? I find it's 50/50 in our industry the more people I talk to. My client work is going fine, but I feel like I'm wasting my potential on all my personal creative projects and ambitions. I love it when I'm mid-project, but I waste weeks/months where the hurdle of starting seems mentally impossible.
Glad to hear it resonated with you. I find that sometimes over the top trends that I don’t like take on their own shape with some people. So that usually tells me even though I see it as too much, there was some intentionality in there from someone. And that usually leads down a rabbit hole of learning about a new trend. This is a great way to learn through a different perspective As for the second part, I haven’t actually. At least not as far as I know. However I’ve learned a lot about ADHD through Thor from PirateSoftware. He’s talked about it a decent amount (and has some YT Shorts on the topic), I think it might be worth checking out his advice to people that struggle with ADHD in a creative environment
Something I have to agree with, after experienced various fields from technical to art. Too many possibilities, too little manpower/effort to try them all, anyone need to stick with what they like the most.
Never thought that Just a talking head video will have this level of quality and stuff 🔥 Thankyou for the tips mate , the question part is something I needed to hear for my creative process from a long time ❤️

lol it helps me stay composed too. Keep doing it it could be your thing
Lmao!
🙏
Indeed.
I'm going blindfold for the next week because my eyes are not worthy of seeing such greatness
your comments always kill me 😭
@@Skymography visuals are on next level Smh.
Seriously good quality
I saw a video of people being light starved and they started crying after uncovering …not seeing light for days. Like a rebirth experience.
What captured my attention here was how simplistic the video is. Just a guy, a chair, a white screen, and some graphics. Less IS more!
Haha glad the idea came across well!
His advantage is that he’s an artist first, editor second. He’s truly mastered art, sound, color theory - which is why his work is light years ahead of most.
Incredible visuals, and I couldn’t agree more with the message.
thanks bro
Creativity is born from limitations
You're overpowered my man
Once again thank you so much for the advice on the intro, YOU ARE THE BLUEPRINT !!
warms my heart to know that you two know of each other
This is 100% the most important thing I’ve come across in creating. You’ve explained this so incredibly well, thank you for your art
It's such an important concept! Thank you for the nice comment :)
this is type of minimal aesthetic editing i am trying to master
This attention to detail should be illegal.
I recently stumbled upon your channel and you absolutely blew my mind.
Every successful Music Producer: Less is more
*Drops the most complex drop*
THE PRODUCTION QUALITY🤯💥
The fact that such high-quality wisdom is freely available truly gives me hope for the world. I deeply appreciate the time, effort, and dedication you consistently invest in creating these videos.
wow... this is one of those videos you have to watch a couple times to fully digest it all. Amazing work man and can't wait for the next one!
This SD is perfect. No chance to watch without headphones
legitimately the animator's animator
Great job once again Sky!
One of my favorite comments ever hahaha, that's such a nice compliment! Thank you
And this is why this channel will always be top tier to me!
What a phenomenal video, tears came rolling down my eyes watching this.
I am literally blow away by this quality. This is next level!
This is great! Less is more is one of my guiding principles, and I love the way you broke it down. Also, the chopped method.. I'm definitely trying this with my next edit
Value & editing is insane. Thank you for creating this video and sharing it with us 🙏🏼
New Skymography video I’m bouncing on it, can’t wait to watch!
I have no idea what this means but thank you James!!
the graphics and sound design is crazy. Becoming fans of these because of you and mapal. 😁
so i was stuck with a project (i suck at motion graphics) and clearly didn't wanted to binge on youtube, glad i found your video you just give me so many ideas without even a tutorial.. thanks man..
the efforts u put into this piece of art is phenomenal.
The Visuals in this video look pretty unique and I love this "glowing frosted glass" type of look
Your videos always feel different, doesn't matter if it's short or long. You bring so much creativity and ideas.
Very rare, to have one shot of a talking guy about an interesting topic and it's actually staying interesting. Very nice made. Hope to see more! :]
Genuinely the biggest smile comes on my tace when you've uploaded, so incredibly well done big props 👏
This is a wonderful video. So hyped to bounce on more videos #TheMob 😂
Comment spotted 😨
I didn't expect another dodford video so fast...
To be honest, great work as always sky

Yo the editing on this is absurd 🔥Not just flashy retention-based stuff but really focused elegant graphics in the background that doesn't distract from your ideas!
New Skymography video let's goo !!
OMG, this video is insane! 🔥 The SFX are off the charts, and the creativity? Next level! I'm obsessed. This is pure genius!! 😍🎉
I counted 267 graphics in this video. More is more
compare to other vids on yt and you'll see its less is more.
You counted two hundred and sixty-seven graphics in this video. More is more! 🗣️🗣️🗣️
😂
😂
GREAT COMMENT-Taking the time to count the graphics is doing too much, but it yielded a clever insight on the concept. Thank you for opening up my mind and leading me to this conclusion….

Visuals are immaculate. Your presentation style is also on point, with editing that is precise and effective.
Bro, i'm telling u
u r so underrated AF
I love ur stuff man please keep it up
thank god for creating u 💫
So many takeaways and gems in this video alone, I had to watch it twice, then subscribe. Loved it. Keep up the great work

There isn't a video of yours which doesn't blow🎉 my mind and from which i don't learn from it. Thanks man❤
I like your video. You gave me perspective with how you care for that bicycle piece. Love and care bring our work to life.
Reallly, really needed the chopped method. Thank you so much for such content.
Honestly as an editor I'm subscribed to so many different tutorial channels that help with editing but by far your channel is the most valuable and jaw-dropping in terms of what story telling/animation/sound design should look/feel like. I'm just in awe with the editing. Absolute class. Amazing content. You never fail to inspire.
I haven't seen any piece of content on the internet as clean and informative as this one. You cooked on a different horizon!

doing less is killing me internally because when I am not doing anything I just get depressed by spending time with my thoughts so
I've been actually feeling the same thing as you for like 6 months or so, and even if i may be a bit of an hypocrite cause i give tips that i also struggle to follow: i think that this video is more about doing More things that incorporate Less Is More, so that when you are doing your thing you'll get better at getting More simple and straight forward things that are simple and works the best
Go to school or read a little
I can relate to you a lot
The video explains it in context of the result. Not on the input.
This is real ❤
Thank you for being inspiration to me🔥. Love your content. Waiting you to get 100k subs.
Now that's called creative vision for me that's so refreshing the idea 💡 and visuals 😲🤌
Work that is truly put in shows itself. It will always deserve appreciation 👏🏻
once again having my whole world view shaped by a skymography video :o
great video. i love the ending. what a great point, theres no final destination its a constant unraveling. so true
0:13 seconds in and im hooked 😂
Great video, great message! Beautiful! And it not just about creativity, is about living life as you said.

What a comment, I’m so glad to hear hahaha
What a great video. It's refreshing to see this in a sea of people trying to emulate Alex Hormozi. Held my attention the entire time.
Thank you! Just speaking authentically works the best. I’m not sure who Alex is but I’ve never liked the idea of emulating anyone else’s format
the visuals are amazing but for me, the sound designs played a major part in making this a masterpiece
I like how the video is Edited, the Text animation, colors used, Overall video is Simple and comforting for eyes. Love that!
This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen. I love the production value and the concise nature of the material. It perfectly illustrates everything you’re talking about in the video. Subscribed.
thank you !!
The production quality is always insane
This is what I call content creation. Great work mate!

I don't have a favorite emoji, but I do have one I've been using incredibly more often these days: 😝!
Good eye 👏👏
You're an amazing editor man, May God Bless you.
Incredible work. Please make a course/videos teaching all your animation work! 🙏🏼
I want more videos on reflexions / thoughts / analysis of creative products (video, music, content...)
