For those who are wondering, this is in large part Toccata And Fugue in D Minor, which has been reworked by several composers but is ultimately attributed to Bach.
For good reason. In its original classical form, it was the cliche tune played for various Halloween specials, and just about anything associated with Dracula or Transylvanian-type stories. The original was purely pipe organ, but both are impressive. The first few bars are the clue as to the tune it's based on
@JGlovinit I am a big fan of all J.S. Bach's works, especially all of the Fugues he has done. This is my favorite, followed shortly by the Fugue in G Minor. Well played sir.
This would be an awesome song for a boss fight in an RPG. It's also good for FPS/TPS games with a night/horror map (Killing Floor Carnival). The sound is definitely awesome, & well blended.
@dimitri13 Correction: This music was not used in Phantom of the Opera. The title of this piece was entitled 'Phantoms' merely because the album is Halloween-related, and others songs are called "Vampires" and "Frankenstein" because they are some frightening monsters. Phantom is just a fancy way to say ghost, so it is just a title. However, with the guitars (Like used in the song, PotO,) and the title of the album (Music of the Night, another PotO song), I can see your point of view. :)
@evman04 That's because the name of the band isn't trans-sylvanian orchestra....it's Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They're famous for doing rock covers of Christmas/Holiday classics.
Same with books, because of low demand hardly any are produced and the cost reflects that. Have the same issue with some of the books I buy being £300 each in series of 20+ books >
Why the hell can't I find this album, or any other song besides "Phantoms" by the Tran-Sylvania Orchestra? I mean this is rediculous, I know there's more, I've listened to "Sorcerer" and "Funeral both too but they're nowhere to be found. WTF.
2020 and I still love listening to this.
same here! it's great!
Amazing yo!
It’s finally that time of year to BLAST THIS and get into the dark and spooky mood😈

I love it to hear metal bands make GOOD renditions of immortal classics such as this one.
Metal versions of classical instrumentals are some of the greatest things ever.
Damn right!
listened to this on Pandora. awesomeness. best five minutes and eight seconds of my life.
The sounds and compositions they can achieve is madness! It's beautiful, drawing and epic.
This brought back so many Castlevania memories for some reason. Epic song though.
ITS 2018 AND THIS SONG IS STILL AMGAZING
Emkill yh

@JGlovinit I am a big fan of all J.S. Bach's works, especially all of the Fugues he has done. This is my favorite, followed shortly by the Fugue in G Minor. Well played sir.
Fething love the opening the most. Like Dracula's castle during his metal days.
I love this kind of music so much it is totally awesome
This band diserves tons more recognition

Up until now, I didn't think Toccata and Fugue in D Minor could sound good on any instrument but the organ.
Electric guitar is the modernized pipe organ lol
Only one word can describe this song: Epic.
All the songs off this album can be bought on amazon, it seems.
Physical copies of it are for sale, but for much more than the mp3's.

@evman04 That's because the name of the band isn't trans-sylvanian orchestra....it's Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They're famous for doing rock covers of Christmas/Holiday classics.
Awesome.

@TheKapitan98 This whole genre deserves more recognition.
Same with books, because of low demand hardly any are produced and the cost reflects that. Have the same issue with some of the books I buy being £300 each in series of 20+ books >

You can buy the entire album on iTunes.

I have searched on iTunes and can’t find it.
I was just as confused. I only noticed it now. This whole time I've thought it was TSO. I can't even find information on this group on the internet.

Do they (Trans-Silvania Orchestra) have an actual account on UA-cam where they upload Videos and Playlists? or is it typically just third-party users?
FINALLY! it's been uploaded to UA-cam....
Isn’t this just Transiberian Orchestra renamed for different music? Also, listening in 2022. It’s finally spooky season.

This song should be added to one of the Guitar Hero games. If it hasn't already.

Toccata & Fugue in D Minor - By, Johan Sebastian Bach is the original. Bach is God
@PedoUnicorn555 TSO uses guitars as well...Go look at the "members" section of their wiki page. You'll see plenty of people listed as guitarists.
This is just a rendition of Toccata and Fugue in D minor by JS Bach. Where do these guys get off calling it "Phantoms"?
Upload Vampire.
