Why on earth would people not stay off the route that the cars are driving on? That's very interesting that they built this concept into this game, though. I presume every person on the track jumps away, and nobody gets squashed? And yeah... that would be one expensive puppy! 😂 But do tell - did you end up getting the puppy anyway? Did your wife's heart soften to the idea?
@@AK-FS In the 80's, when safety protocols were not as rigid, it was a game amongst rally spectators ro try and touch the cars as they raced by. It was not unknown for cars to finish a rally stage with some blood on them, or even a fingertip stuck in the panel gap occasionally. And no, I have not gotten the puppy. The wife is still keen on a new house though, as she believes our current one is too big, now that we have only one child still at home.
@@russellwhitlock1942 Note to self: Don't touch moving cars. 😬 Best wishes on the house... and the puppy. Listening to you talk about a puppy made me think back two years. On this exact date (September 3rd for me) two years ago... we lost a puppy. She was accidentally run over by someone driving by our home. I still miss her to this day. Maybe that's the real reason your wife is attaching strings to getting a pup - because it hurts so much when you have to say goodbye to them. 🥲
@@AK-FSI think she's just trying to push me jnto moving sooner. I've told hercwe'll move within the next 5 years, as I agree the house is bigger than we need. But I don't want to move too soon, in case any of our older kids need to move back home. It's not uncommon to have a few false starts when you go flitting for the first time.
@@AK-FS Definitely not. But I've been slowly downsizing my Lego collection, by selling off most of the official sets I own (at a profit, fortunately), so (mostly) only keeping MOC's (My Own Creations).
I think your logic on which rally game to purchase (BOTH 🙂) is strikingly similar to how I've treated the Farming Simulator franchise. Hmm.
@@AK-FS Yes, it is secretly my goal to help you spend all of your money before your wife or children can. LOL
@@russellwhitlock1942 Uh oh. I hope my wife doesn't read this....
