Another great video sir but all I can say is you watch to much TV I didn't see a road that was smaller than what we have and some of them look alot bigger then most of the roads are. Are highways are bigger and out in the Midwest they tend to have wider roads but in the old original states we have wagon trails converted to roads and most of them are tight on average there around 16 foot wide for any township road if your lucky at least in my state but at least she knows how to use a clutch my wife hasn't figured it out in 22 years

Thank you very much for watching. And you may be right about that - the roads seem very wide on some of the towing videos I watch, but I'm sure it varies wildly, depending on where you're driving.

Your mention of standard transmissions and stick shifting brings back lots of memories. It's like riding a bike, once you know how to do it, but it can sure be quite an ordeal learning how! I think my oldest daughter still has PTSD from trying to learn how to do it. When we stalled in an intersection in front of a whole bunch of cars, that was the final straw for her, and 'water works' ensued. Dad and daughter swapped places right there where we stopped. I saw sympathetic glances from some of the drivers. 😄

@@AK-FS True that. Of course, when you get a manual transmission in NZ, you are using your left hand to change gear. The pedals do not change though, so it's still left foot clutch, right foot brake and throttle. Ignition are still on the right side of the steering columns too, so are facing towards the outside of the car. Makes it much easier for a cop to grab your keys out of the ignition, if they feel the need to do so.

@@stendecstretcher5678 Not sure if you're directing this to me or to Russell, but in my case, with her not having tried to drive a stick shift car before, she was simply nervous about it, that's all. I was no different the first time I drove a stick shift - it took a little time to 'get it.' I even drove my father's pickup truck through a fence when I sat in the driver's seat for the first time. I'm still a little embarrassed about that! 😂

If addressed to me, then unfortunately yes, 2 woke daughters out of 4 children. Not due to their upbringing by us, though.

Awesome video, Russell! When you do encounter American cars (such as the Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, etc.), are they set up exactly like the rest of the cars? Meaning, with the steering wheel on the right, and such?
It's fascinating to me to watch driving on the left side of the road, when I'm used to being on the right side. There is one notable exception in the US when it comes to steering wheels. The US Postal service has many vehicles with steering wheels on the right side of the car just like you have. It's done that way for the convenience of delivering mail into mailboxes while driving down the right side of the road. Does your postal service do something similar, as in, have vehicles with steering wheels on the left so they can do the same in your country? Or is the postal service handled differently there?

@@AK-FS Sorry for the long answer, but it needs to be:
To have a left hand drive car in NZ, it must meet one of three criteria. (1) Be one of 1,000 or fewer of a limited run, which sometimes special anniversary models of Corvettes etc might fit jnto. (2) Be 25 or more years old, so 60's and 70's muscle cars are normally still LHD. (3) Be in the country for less than 24 months, so if a car is imported especially for a show or car event. Mustangs were (briefly) sold new in NZ, so any modern is Mustang will always be right hand drive, but the others - there's a mix.
Our postal service use 50cc scooters to deliver the mail.
