I’m using one as a sugar bowl for coffee. Well, Stevia, but you get the idea. Nectar color with the flower lid.
relevant info starts at 1:50
Thanks I won 4 on eBay for 30.00 and was not sure what to do with these once they arrived.
Though I'm glad I watched this video, because it gave me a solid starting point, BUT, holy moly, over a minute of into? Why? And, no seasoning? Really? Why not at least say "season to taste"?
I have 4 of the mini bean pots. Got them as a gift a years ago, and I've never used them... no idea what to do with them.
Love the mini's -- i got some of the limited editition (from last year's Food and Wine fest) very cool.
Very cool ? And what have you cooked so far with them ? They're $80 each and you can't even fit a quail in them... why would anyone waste their money... are you on an eggs only diet ?
Minis, not mini's.
Hope a Potluck Creuset lands on my doorstep soon!
I don't even care about cooking in them. They look so cute lol
Love these recipes, but it takes twice the time (more like 30 minutes) to cook then the video says (at 325F) so makes sure you adjust accordingly.
So just above 160 °C.
Thanks for the heads up.
Ahhhh, Ruhlman!!
Can you make beef bolognaise sauce in these mini ones? What about chicken soup?
What size is these? I want to purchase some but I have no idea on the size to get.
Very small about 10 cm
great technique, love the mini cocottes, but what's up with the camera cuts? Michael! We're over here! Hello?
If I were to bake a casserole in one of these, how would I know how long to bake it? I'm assuming the time would be drastically shorter than if I were cooking in a 9x9 dish.
Use the force Gina... use the force

To be honest, there's not much you can "make" in these, but they are amazing for presentation.
Make stew the day before, heat stew in the little pots and serve your guests. Put some veggies and patatoes on a plate and put the cocotte on the plate.
Or top the stew with mashed patato and make individual servings of shepards pie.
This works with any slow cooked food that you make in a large pot.
Make single servings of your favorite lasagna or moussake recipes in these
Make french onion soup and transfer to cocotte and broil with some cheese on top
Par-boil some slided potato and make patato gratin with bechemel and cheese
You can make mini pies in these
You can make all kinds of desserts in these, like tiramisu or puddings, but also things that need an oven like mini cakes and stuff.
Get my drift? You don't really make anything in these (lets be honest, the egg recipes are lame as f***), you mainly use them to make singe servings of a food you would normally serve in a big dish or pot. It looks nice, and you can surprise your guests with what's under the lid. It's like a fancy serving bowl with the added benefit of surviving in the oven.
We’ve made several lava cakes in ours. That’s really the only reason we bought it.
Sucks. I bought 4 & just received them! Just!
Maybe I use them to steam veg , rice , egg 😂.
what in the production?
I don't eat eggs.. I would love some more recipe ideas.
You missing the part of being alive.
Go to 1:10 to skip the long ass intro
Over a minute of intro for a 5min video...really?
What is with the insipidly long intro?
That’s why afford fast forward is available.
I thought it was just me thinking that. Get to the damn point already.
They are not "mini-cocoes" Michael, they are "cocottes", that's 'coc - cots'. it's okay not to speak French but after the long intro of French everything it sounds a bit silly to get it wrong.
settle down
More like koh-kot
Someone needs a hearing test. He very clearly said "cocotte" with a t.
Can we use cocotte on stove
Nope! No direct heat on these
just an update - www.lecreuset.com/potluck is not a valid entry any more
These are too small. Double the size and I would buy some.
Surprising to me that he endorses bacon.
Exited out of this. Never watched the video. Who has time for this nonsense? What's the reason for the huge intro of pictures? Thanks, but no thanks.
You can fast forward now... technology
A 1 minute intro in a 5 minute video is ridiculous.
