      The twin iron manifolds and the T6 with both sides is really a killer. I want to run a pair of 7875 s from the manifolds and the exhaust the same way. I like it! Keep on trucking!

      I want to do the same thing! I want to deck it and use a thin gasket to get it to .040 assembled quench. I had a good set of heads done, but they disappeared from the shop. No story there. Mark the parts if they are worth anything. A lot of thieving in the FE world.

    I still think that the FE is the best and most versatile engine ever made. Do you know that the Coyote has a wet belt running the oil pump. I have a 2022 Edge ST with the same thing. Is there a conversion? I have a n ARP pump drive and M57HV and a Canton big pan and sump that I have run 40 years. I am scared of those internal belts. Thats all I don’t like about the 2.7 Eco transverse mounted engine and the 5.0L Coyotes. I am still maintaining the FE is the greatest engine Ford has ever made, but that’s just my opinion. Any ideas?

      I agree, a .030 over 390 at 396 is a great straight forward engine. A set of Trick Flows, a good hyd roller and a Tunnel Ram with 2x4s is a great NA engine, or a 396 FE with a pair of 3582 T04s on a good blow through setup at 800-900 whp. Big cubes are fun, but I have a lifetime supply of 390 stuff.

    The pistons are good 3904V flattops the come to zero deck. 360s are 390 4V and should come to the top.

    I was going to suggest that if you have 1.66 ch pistons and 6.49 390 rods at a 4.065 bore you can put a 3.98 crank from a 410 or 428, It would be a 413.22 engine, with that T06 -S475 where would it spool up? It looked like a twin scroll but I am legally blind and my magnifier didn’t see two BOVs are the iron manifolds with the join pipe and a 4-5 inch exhaust out of the hot side be good for 800-900 hp? That would be the simplest way to go, an 8-9 lb boost S475 on a T06 volute would move a bunch of air. A 4.08. X3.98 would be 416 ci.

      Good plan but (ARP fasteners a side) this is designed to be a budget build using what I have laying around and bought for cheap on FB Marketplace. Thanks again for watching!

      @@mydirtygarage Oh man I just gots to have my ARP hardware! 😂. I have to say but I have a set of 390 rods with 3/8 ARP bolts and Main and head studs that have seen 1000 hp and I still have it, the Nitrous is gone but I really want to to put a pair of GT45s or like yours, take the 2 inch primary race headers off and put the 279350 Bullet roller in place of Reed I had and put the stock iron on backwards and do what you’re doing two 2.5 pipes to a T06 volute and a S475. I stretched and have never removed the ARP hardware since 1999, and beat the crap out of anything that lined up with me. My 396 FE was good for 8000. And you could empty the Nitrous bottle. FEs are tough if you take your time and balance and tune it. I think the block was likely a 390 bored CJ block. I want to get some used LS forged pistons at 4.065 and 1.326 CH with Scat 4340 6.85 rods and my 428 CJ crank with 2.2 journals. I have a D3TE 3 rib main block that I did a drill bit test on and a 3/16 bit was really tight between the bores. I have 90% of it. I’m legally blind though, so I d have to have a good driver. But at 413 ci with the turbo or turbos I’m not greedy between 800-900 hp would be right in its wheelhouse. And at 4.05 , a powerhone to 4.065 would be all it needs. The crank will turn to 2.2 rods the mains are already 2.74. I have two cross bolt mains that have oil feeds from the side bolts for 2 and 4 where they crack. I really wish I still had my 68 Mustang coupe. It was a 289. 4 speed. That on a torsion bar subframe would fit right in there. That would make a low 9 E85 car. Dang 63 and still want to play!

      @@mydirtygarage I’m pretty much at the stage in life that I need to use the parts I have. I gave a close friend a new set of BBM FE heads for a 482 project he plans to build , he has a BBM block and a 4.25 Scat 4340 steel crank and a set of 6.7 K1 BBC 2.2 journal rods. I just have a bunch of old junk. I can’t drive anymore but I still love cars. I think I can still build an 800-900 hp bullet with the junk I have. I need a couple of cheap turbos or a single fast spooling one. That S475 sounds like it would be good and not terribly expensive. Just iron manifolds and a blow through 750-850 Holley. The C4AE-G heads that I poured my heart into were stolen from the machine shop that I sent them to for a final inspection. I think they were borrowed by another builder for EMC and did very well and sold very well. Just a suspicion. That has happened before. The guy is in a wheelchair, so I guess it’s Ok. 👌

      Do you still have the piping and manifolds any parts that you want to sell cheap? I’m a scrounger myself. The mystery Mustang new beginning could be well. I like the LR heads too! Just a thought and that pump is not a slacker either!

      Me too, but we went out and looked for anything that might help you out. I’m wanting to bore a D4TE block that drill bitted to 3/16 out to 4.125and find a 4.25 stroker kit used and fill it like you are. I have 2 crossbolt PSE side oiling main caps for 2 and 4. They are aluminum so they should cushion the 2 and 4 that are prone to cracking, but it’s got the CJ 3 web mains in the block. I have all of the ARP hardware. I have a PortoSonic intake, and a 245@.050 .600 and 108 Solid Roller that Smith pushrods and Harland Sharp rocker arms and stands with Dennis Carrillo HD shafts. I can’t see but I ll find a way. I wish I had a 427 Industrial block that has run on LPG all its life, 4.25x3.98. Put a set of headers facing forward with a T6 like yours! Helluva truck engine.

    Is there some kind of trick to move an engine into and out of my truck without a cherry picker? I see stuff all the time I'd like to pick up but getting it into my garage with my bad back seems impossible.

      It's one of Jay Brown's FE Power intake adapters and a 351C Edelbrock Torker that's been modified to fit the adapter. Thanks for watching

      Jay Browns stuff is amazing. The Heads , his adapter, all of it. And he tests it. I learned that Ford knew what they were doing on the FE exhaust port. All the assumptions made an Ass out of everyone. The regular port makes same power as a fancy raised port. In fact if you’re working with an FE just do a regular CJ port and focus on the intake. That’s where the power is. Amazing that you can put a 2.19 valve in a 4.08 port and feed an engine stroked to 4.375. I also learned that you can use crossbolt mains out of aluminum on 2 and 4 on a 4.08 x 3.98 416 and an iron 3.98 crank with everything balanced can live at 800-900 hp, because it is light. As light as a 350 Chevy or LS in reciprocating weight which is parasitic. You end up if run lines to the crossbolt PSE studs they are drilled for priority oiling and you get it on 1245 if you plug the oil from the top feed just above the cam journal. It is like a Side oiler and keeps the oil cooler. Testing has shown us just how far ahead the FE was for its day. I want to do a 413 ci 410 with two 3582 turbos at 8 lbs each with the 245@.050 .600 roller cam for about 825 hp on pump gas. Being blind I’m still hoping for a miracle. But would that be neat.
