No way, I found S I back in the late 90’s. I loved the colours, textures and functionality of the jackets. I also loved the rawness of their other items, and the quality and warmth of their Italian wool jumpers. What I saw in Stone Island was same Italian passion and flair that I saw in Ferrari, Pagani, Sonus Faber, the list goes on. Massimo was much more than a fashion label. It just so happens that people from all walks of life appreciate well made functional clothing.
if casuals (hooligans) weren't wearing Stone Island, the brand would never have become as big as it is today. Stone Island is the most popular brand among casuals.
I think it still would have been popular, I wasn’t a casual but I bought my first jacket in 93. Hardly anyone in my area wore it, I liked to be different and the fabrics used were far better than anything else going around at the time.
Super true, was the dream since my childhood, now I’m waiting for a Pete Dunham trench coat delivery Got lots of hoodies, shorts, tees Definitely casuals culture gave it a huge boost
1:48 not true, this happened in the late 70s, early 80s when no one casual wore stone island. They wore brands like Sergio and fila. Causals started to wear stone island at around 1986. Police where well aware of casuals by this time
There’s also a mesh badge as well. Think it came on an green ice jacket. Also paint splattered bade on the tortoiseshell hand painted jacket and paintball jacket. Frosted badge on the frost sweatshirt collection.
I knew all been a buyer of SI since 1993 have a good few vintage pieces and also got rid of a lot to my regret now good video though but Masimo should have been on here
@@alexhardcastle4522 my size is XXL and yes I will be selling si and cp company got hundreds of pieces vintage and some new I know I’ll regret it but don’t wear it as much and is in wardrobe doing nothing

I Totally Agree With You!
yes this is true, I would never have spent over G on a jacket otherwise haha

Yeah I’ve got the green goose down jacket with the mesh badge.
They done two colours on the mesh badge
Was already established before the hooligan gig!!!! Most innovative brand out there!
Italian bikers used to rock stonies long before the hoolidan thingy!
There's a mesh badge too
You've missed the most important thing: "ideas from Massimo Osti".
I think some of the life safer stuff was and still is perfect
I love this video because this video has many information 👍

Remember that football hooligans (Casuals) have made the brand what it is today.
Overpriced rubbish
#1 is highly questionable
Why?
Stone Island was the name of the boat of Massimo Otti
Wow, Stone Island is really a master of dye haha.
