  • In this episode of How-To, Chef Deuki Hong teaches us how to make a delicious kimchi fried rice. Chef Hong uses some traditional Korean ingredients like kimchi, and Korean chili paste, mixed with some more traditional American ingredients, like bacon, butter, and leftover takeout white rice. Perfect for a late night drunken snack. Enjoy!

    For Koreans, pork- especially pork belly, and kimchi are known to be a match made in heaven. That's why we put pork in our kimchi stew. Or grill kimchi next to pork belly when eating kbbq. You all have to try it 😍

    love this dish! my favorite from when I lived in Korea. also he gets fancy with it but really all you need is the onion, kimchi, and butter, then the rice. bacon/spam, egg, and seaweed are bonus. no other sauces necessary either.

    I have been making Kimchi fried rice since buddies showed me how back at Cornell in the 1990's. Kimchi and kotchujang are heavenly.

    my mom makes my kimchi fried rice but uses pork instead of bacon. its my version of chicken noodle soup. whenever im sick, she makes it. when i visit her, its the first meal. its the best.

    kimchi is delicious as I make my own at home its not only nutritious but is a fermented product which is so good for your gut health. I learned how to make it from a korean youtuber. It is sold in a small jar in uk which is so expensive so i make my own. How he is making the rice with the kimchi is so delicious.

    I love the way he cooks so entertaining and impressive recipe with such a pretty presentation! Gonna try to make this vers now hehe key notes: having the perfect ratio of soy sauce chilli powder and sugar, & of course sesame oil at the end with sesame seeds on top and 김(seaweed crisps)

    KIMCHI PORK BELLY AND FRIED RICE IS BOMB. I grab like two spoonful of Gochujang and I'm dead. There a dish called Cheese Buldak which uses lots of Gochujang, Red pepper powder, and Capasin Powder. That's hell and that's what the cheese is for lol.

    I do the same thing except I add some chopped see weed, layer it with mozzarella slices, and put it in the oven for 10 minutes. Learned this from my grandma :D

    i will tell you secret , use sesame oil to fried kimchi also use slice belly to bake it together .. this will make kimchi 10x better and use korean kim aka nori for garnishing
