Jail? It’s an inquiry, not a court case. There’s absolutely no prospect of jail, or even a fine.
There is no punishment here.
They’ve only done it so that people can point the finger, and they’ve dressed it up as “being able to act more effectively if something like this ever happens again”.

The fix is in. The old pandemic preparedness was inadequate. The new regime we forced through was not fast enough, not hard enough, not long enough. Track, trace and isolation was woeful. We must do better next time. Buckle up folks v2 will be a lot worse than last time. The only glimmer of hope was the inclusion of independent experts to avoid group think.
