here is an amazon affiliate link (I get a commission), I don't have this kit but have used some like it. I kinda just like the orange on this one. amzn.to/2VgHrvd
Thank you for taking the time to explain the pins, the orientation, and where things go. Very concice and easy to follow. My new Casio fits like a dream now.
thank you so much for this video! 3 years later and it is still very helpful, this video in particular actually briefly explained the mechanisms in how the band worked, and also explained the reason for the arrows. thank you for the practical and educational video!
A first-rate video showing precisely how to size a split-pin bracelet. Rob, your videos on how to change straps and size bracelets of different kinds are really helpful. Could you do one on how to change from a strap to a bracelet? Attaching a bracelet seems much more difficult than attaching a strap, especially bracelets with curved end-links Thank you for these videos.
I did it for the first time this week and I nearly had a nervous breakdown. I've taken a few bracelets off but never tried to put one back on until now. If I ever do it again I'm going to have to get some kind of watch holder and a couple of quality spring bar tools.
Hello and thank you for showing me a video of how easy it is to remove some links in a watch. I especially found the explanation of the direction of removing and reinserting the split pin design really helpful. Without seeing this, I would simply have forced them back in the wrong way round. Also your 'zoom-in' so we could see the little holes was really clear. Thanks once again
Thank you for your tutorial video. Very helpful. Currently I am resizing my strap and honestly I struggle to fit it back in. Luckily I managed to get hold of your video at the right moment.
THANK YOU!!!!! I bought a Relic had no idea how to size it. The web site gave no instructions…you saved the day….awesome video, I never saw the arrows until you should them , no one else mentioned that in their video…saved my watch..yeah
Split pins are the best, never have to worry about losing a collar, I actually just sized 2 watches today, one pin and collar, and one split pin.. I didn’t even have to tap the pins in with pin tool and mallet, just gently hammered the pin flush to link, then push the pin in the rest of the way with just the pin tool and my hand. Done!
This was really helpful! After watching this, it took only five minutes to adjust my most recent split pin bracelet. It gave me a new appreciation for them.
Thank you so much ❤ just got my new patek and wanted to self adjust and was so confused by the pins? I didnt want to touch/damage my watch band so ive been searching youtube, thank god i found this video. Bless you 🙏 Noticed the arrows straight away , very lucky 😅
Screws... On my 5 yrs old Casio Edifice screw fell out, watch fell on the floor, directly on the adjusting button and now the mechanism needs replacement. But I'm thinking of buying new one- it's more expencive, but life has to move on, right?
Somehow I know why I love throwing my watches on Nato straps. This fiddling around may be fun. But even putting my Orient Mako 1 back on its original bracelet drove me nuts. This bracelet is even cheaper looking than the ones you have shown here.
Thank you for the video. I have a small project I'm working on and it looks like these split pins will be exactly what I need. Can you tell me why they're only supposed to go into the links in one specific direction? Is it something to do with the hole in the link? If so then it makes me wonder, would a split pin work in a regular cylindrical hole, or is there something special with the hole that works in tandem with the split pin?
Thanks for the video, I unfortunately tried to replace a split pin with a spring pin which increased the bore holes, now the split pins slips through. Is there possibly pins that are thicker to sort this? Thanks
Fantastic! Yesterday i used an extended amount of time to find out to put the pins back in, but I couldn't find the answer. You delivered the answer clearly and with background explanation, while the video also made it clear. Great! Thank you.
September 11th 2001 A united Airlines 757 is traveling at over 660’mph as it crosses Manhattan island in less than 9 seconds. Engines full throttle, 30,000ft below its check list altitude.
I lost pin and collar on my Seiko and used a Split pin which I opened up a bit for friction, so far it’s holding, should I trust it to stay in the chain, I daily shake my watch chain to try detect the pin falling out, so far it’s staying in.
Got a Swiss Army Victorinox that needs resizing, it's NOT folded link, however there are no arrows or any other type of marking for that matter to indicate the direction to push the pins out... Any ideas?
Rolls came off the pin every time, put the roll back on with some difficulty and now it refuses to go back in the hole on the opposite side, the pin goes in but the roll just sits on the outside and refuses to go in on my Casion Lineage, not sure what to do I think hammering on it will just flare it, definitely not so easy on this watch.
I got myself the Bergeon 7767-F and tried to remove the split pins from my Orient Kamasu, but they won't budge. I don't have this cube - could it solve the problem? I am pressing down like crazy to no avail.
Hello Rob, you said something about getting the tools " at your harbour for free". Im not sure if i got that right ist it correct and what did you mean by that ?
Hi there!! I just got a new watch. I pushed the pin out in the wrong direction by accident, and now it's super stuck. It won't go back in, and won't come out. What can I do to resolve this? Should I hammer it back out?
I have a question I bought an Invicta watch and ordered a link removal kit from amazon now when I went to take the link out of the band I got the first one out no problem when I went for the second link (I didn't notice the arrows) and started moving the link in the wrong direction and the link is now half in and half out in stuck mode and me being forceful I pulled it out and the link broke and now the link is stuck I tired to use the tool you showed trying to tap the remaining part of the link back into band and now the pin part of the tool also broke off in the band how can I fix this now mind you this is on the link that I don't need but in the future if I wanna sell my watch how will someone be able to add links if need be can anyone help thanks in advance
Is there a source for split pins? I have a Seiko with split pins and the pin fell out and I need a new one to repair. I cannot locate the old links unfortunately.
Just got a new Bulova watch. Thanks for the confidence boost! It’s officially customized!!🫡🇺🇸✌️( I used a nail, a flashlight for a hammer, and a paper clip)😂
Thank you for taking the time to explain the pins, the orientation, and where things go. Very concice and easy to follow. My new Casio fits like a dream now.

I used pin for phones to change card and then screwdriver as a hummer, it
Worked!!! 😍
Thank you for the tip (pin for phones)

I have not sized a bracelet with pins before so thanks for the tutorial. You make it look easy (but I know it could be a challenge).

Helpful video. Having the blue block makes things much easier. I just spent way too long on my Seiko pin and collar sizing it

Thank you! I had no idea how to do it, this video is way better than many others about the same topic.
You just made my day. thank you so much for the assistance.

Thanks for the video! While I didn't do it, it made me understand the tools required (which I don't have)
I love split pins. Easy to size and no chance of screws coming loose.
Screws... On my 5 yrs old Casio Edifice screw fell out, watch fell on the floor, directly on the adjusting button and now the mechanism needs replacement. But I'm thinking of buying new one- it's more expencive, but life has to move on, right?
Hey please help me in opening mine watch links 😭😭😭
Somehow I know why I love throwing my watches on Nato straps. This fiddling around may be fun. But even putting my Orient Mako 1 back on its original bracelet drove me nuts. This bracelet is even cheaper looking than the ones you have shown here.
They just won’t come out
Most Amazon kits some with a screw press that I love because the base of it screws in and out to act as a solid platform for the bracelet to rest on.
Your video was very helpful for me and my Timex.
This is a perfect tutorial 👌 thank you. You saved me £20 👍
Such a useful explanation - thanks
Amazing, now I can finally wear my favorite watch
Thank you!!! Fabulous instructions ❤
Great video exactly what I needed. Thanks!
Just what I needed. Not verbose. Just the best way to do the job. Thanks

Just saved me a trip to the jewelers to get my wife's new timex watch sized. Thank you, Rob!
This tutorial was very helpful. It looks easy enough! The store where I got my split pin bracelet watch made it look so intimidating.

Hey Rob, what model is the Casio Edifice that you show in your video?
Thanks for the video, I unfortunately tried to replace a split pin with a spring pin which increased the bore holes, now the split pins slips through. Is there possibly pins that are thicker to sort this? Thanks

Hi Rob, when taking out 3 links, which side taking out 2 of them is better balance for the bracelet fit?

Hope you got it sized up
Dear if the wrist size is 7 inches. How many pieces will we remove from the bracelet? Item type Seiko SAR X57
