Your guest comment on being able to eat well in Thailand is true, though in Canada if you cook for yourself you can eat just as healthy! Yes food will cost more in Canada. Though you can eat just as healthy in Canada as in Thailand. Many supermarkets in Canada you can buy many Asian vegetables. Or Thai foods, many big cities in Canada have China towns were you can buy many ingredients to make Thai food. If you know how to really cook you can eat cheaply in Canada as well.
Another Canadian here: retiring in Thailand or long-term living overseas in general is not everyone. It can go so wrong if you're not careful. There's no one-size-fits-all, not everyone can adjust or can afford to. And if everyone moved here, this wouldn't be Thailand anymore.
@@gabuchan123 i guess u are aware of the statistics ( deadly accidents) in Thailand and as well from the almost daily shootouts / knife outs … as a result of road rage/ loose the face? I mean this can be seen even in the news daily
@@gabuchan123There's no official road rage statistics, and how you would ever get any derived from "your perspective" is beyond me. But there are definitely way more road deaths in Thailand than Canada.
@dennis_1d Canada is sooooo overrated. Ever meet someone who permanently immigrates there from a decent country? Ie. Australia, Nz, Spain....bad weather, taxes, roads, govt, food. Except for Coffee Crisps
@@TimeToTravel-u2xIt is extremely expensive to live here, especially as I look at the costs to live in other locations around the world , including the parts of the USA. We are very heavily taxed and housing for most people is completely out of reach. As a family of 3 we spend $1300 a month on groceries alone for basics.
Chiangmai is even better if you're a runner or cyclist. there are so much to do and so many routes and street food and cafe along the way. You don't need to make friends, you will automatically make friends in the cycling group!
Comments, nothing to do with your last video, but I would like some guidance on expat medical insurance living in Chiang Mai, if you've got the time of day maybe we could meet up sometime and I'll buy you a coffee or something else. Cheers. Mike
@randolphwilhelm668 I’d love to learn more about Thailand for sure. Any info that you’d like to share to help me gain some perspective on the wonderful Thailand?

-30 c currently with tons of snow, 6 months of short dark days in Canada
Exactly a great reason to retire in Thailand.

Sorry Jon, couldnt listen to him. He needs his own channel to which i definetly would not subscribe
Yep, people like him just bore the shit outta most people
Hey, I think I saw that guy standing on a corner of St. Catherine street shaking a can full of toonies and quarters
Thanks for the donation 😊
Jon, I like the walk and talk concept. I hope we can do that too 👍
You did a good job. This type of walk & talk is not easy
Thanks mate
There is no road rage in Thailand? Cmon, that statement is bending the reality quite wide…..
Of course there is road rage just from my perspective, there is less than that in my home country

@@gabuchan123 unless you own a car and drive in Thailand, you have no clue what happens on the roads.
I have driven a few months but not much longer than that and have seen some insane driving.

My Niece is off to Chiang Mai soon from UK. Hope all will go well there.
Sorry mate, this bloke doesn’t sound that bright. A tonne of what he said was completely wrong. Not your best interview.
Agreed...hes Canadian...they live in the twilight zone...
lol… You would too if you lived here . Frigid Cold and Dark 6 months of the year for a premium cost of living 💲

Canada does a good job selling nature and the vastness of the land but I can agree to a degree that it is overpriced and hard to buy a house.
