Thank you so much for doing this interview. My husband and I are actually friends with Fred and his wife. It’s because of his channel and channels like yours that we are planning our retirement in Thailand within the next four years. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Great interview, Jon. Fred, like you, provides lots a good and valuable content about Chiang Mai. I am a part-timer in Thailand and have found both your channels helpful. 👍🏻🙏🏻🇹🇭😀🚴♂️
Thanks Jon for doing the interview with Fred. I have watched his channel and have found a lot of information helpful that he has shared. Something that you both touched on is that most of the UA-cam folks in Chiang Mai, for the most part, do a great job of not covering the same things over and over. The POV plays an important part of the story that is being shared and that is important. Your take as someone that has lived in country for 17+ years and has a family, is different than Wayne's POV, or Fred and his wife, or Tony and his wife. Everyone has a background that shapes their POV and that lends to the information that they share. Keep up the good work!
Fred! You're headed to Vietnam. I recently spent a month motorbiking in Vietnam from North to South. You will love it. Ride the HaGiang loop in the North. You might love a Ha Long Cruise or Sunset Town on Phu Quoc. I could go on n on. Ha. Have fun!
About dual pricing ? There was a period when i lived in Thailand where you got the Thai price at national parks etc if you showed a Thai driving license .
Don't simply retire from something; have something to retire to. Start saving, keep saving, and stick to investments. Everyone should have BTC in their portfolio
It’s really heartbreaking to see how inflation and recession impact low-income families. The cost of living keeps rising, and many struggle just to meet basic needs, let alone save or invest. It’s a reminder of the importance of finding ways to create financial opportunities. You've helped me a lot sir Brian! Imagine i invested $50,000 and received $190,500 after 14 days
Some persons think inves'tin is all about buying stocks; I think going into the stock market without a good experience is a big risk, that's why I'm lucky to have seen someone like mr Brian C Nelson.
Ok, this was awkward AF!! Lovely relaxed subject, awkward interviewer! But, Jon this is part of your charm and why I watch your channel in preference to the slick youtubers 😉
90 day report you down load the form fill it out, go to the drive through or walk through line takes 5 minutes. Agreed doing your visa can take a few hrs or more. But Jon saying 90 day report can take a long time in Chiangmai is bs. No need to use a agent for 90 day report.
You only need a re-entry stamp in your passport if you are planning to return to Thailand and want to keep your Thailand long term visa. Without the stamp you will have to start your long term visa process all over again, and that is expensive and a hassle.
Id say 2.5k-3k USD a month for a couple is sweet spot. In ten years from now who knows. I do know that in ten years many cheap charlies will be priced out and will end up in Phil or Cambodia..
These types of interviews are basically useless as far as accurate information goes because these people are newbies so they have no idea what's going on. How about talking to people who left Chiang Mai or Thailand altogether so people can hear some of the things that are rarely discussed such as Thai racism and literal hatred of foreigners deep down. Smart foreigners eventually catch on while the others rarely see it. How can one move to a country where the locals really don't like or want you there beyond a holiday? I'm speaking from personal experience.
Everything is relevant and everybody's experience is different. if you have a story, share it, instead of knocking other peoples' stories in a vague and egotistical way. We newer expats living in Chiang Mai (you call us "newbies" - how cute) research all we can find on the area in all source materials. This stuff is invaluable to us. Share please... And just to let you know, on this particular channel, Jon makes sure to point out both the positives and the negatives of living here. His negatives do not include any claims of Thai hatred of foreigners such as yours, so what you got would be unique story and worth a view. There are people (including me) that want to hear your story as well.
Blimey sounds like you had a bad experience I live in a all Thai area in Bangkok and they have welcomed me with open arms it depends how you react and treat them if you don’t talk to them you won’t find out
Thank you Jon, it was a pleasure meeting you.
You too Fred thanks for coming on :)

Last week I spent a week in Bangkok with my family and also went to the hospital in Nana to do some checks. It is absolutely mind-blowing.
In a good way or bad way?

Thanks for the link to Fred's channel. 😅
First I could not find it, so I had to adjust my comment. Fred looks familiar, but that's what you get with CM and UA-cam, I guess. Cheers.
I also have a small UA-cam channel. I would love to sit down and do an interview with you when i'm in Thailand early next year.
Sounds good you can reach me on Instagram mate

Absolutely! Profits are possible, especially now, but complex transactions should be handled by experienced market professionals.
Some persons think inves'tin is all about buying stocks; I think going into the stock market without a good experience is a big risk, that's why I'm lucky to have seen someone like mr Brian C Nelson.
Finding yourself a good broker is as same as finding a good wife, which you go less stress, you get just enough with so much little effort at things
Brian demonstrates an excellent understanding of market trends, making well informed decisions that leads to consistent profit
The guy you interviewed said he lived south ? of Chiang Mai in Dosi Ket ? Sounded rural and is that community a part of Chiang Mai ?
Yeah Doi Saket is part of Chiang Mai province
@@jondcanton yeah I found it. Thanks
Brilliant man! What does he do in burning season?
Ok, this was awkward AF!! Lovely relaxed subject, awkward interviewer! But, Jon this is part of your charm and why I watch your channel in preference to the slick youtubers 😉
Should get multi entry retirement visa, straightforward
90 day report you down load the form fill it out, go to the drive through or walk through line takes 5 minutes. Agreed doing your visa can take a few hrs or more. But Jon saying 90 day report can take a long time in Chiangmai is bs. No need to use a agent for 90 day report.
Faraway Fred🤜🏽✨🤛🏽
When you go,back to the US you have to get a stamp?

The amount he pays is it per month ?
Yes
Jon you did a really good job with this. Should do more.
He mentioned working and retired ed, hmmm😅
Fred done stretched out most of Loi Krau Rd. Now im seem even smaller.
Fred doesn't have much experience living in chiang Mai after 12months.
South America and Central America is more dangerous

Maybe they just don’t like you.
I lived 10 years full time in Chiang mai in Sansai near to where this man lives and did not find any racism or hatred .Quite the opposite actually .
It was an individual experience on your part, luckily the rest of us don't garner the same reaction from people
