Great Video Oleg! I have a two tone Pro Diver with a blue face and I love it. The seiko made NH35A movement is what does it for me. Had it 9 years now and still going strong!
I can’t believe your aligning yourself with the “big water” industry! Next thing you know, you’ll be schilling for the “big air” industry! But as far as the watch, for $50, it’s a hard watch to beat. The movement itself helps this watch tremendously! Great review!
Great video as always, Oleg. Contrary to other people, after almost 30 years as a watch enthusiast, and 10 as a committed hoarder of watches (I wouldn't dream of saying I’m a collector), I bought mi first Invicta (the Pro Diver). I’ve always stayed on the affordable side of watch buying. Buying the automatic Pro Diver was my affordable way of getting my hands on a Seiko NH35 movement (after a lot of Seiko 5’s that passed through my collecting with the 7S26 and 36 movements). I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised about practically the whole package. After a couple of months y fell for another one (different colors on face and bezel). They are truly great for someone who wants to either get started on automatic watches or wants a beater watch. I have one with the scalloped bezel and the second one with the coin edge (OB) bezel. It’s true that the OB or coin edge bezel turns much more easily, but the scalloped bezel is bearable and functional, just harder to turn. So in conclusion, even if you are a seasoned collector, this Pro Diver could be your cup of tea if you are looking for very affordable automatic, IMHO. Cheers!!!
These are the best watches Invicta makes and at the price they are perfect for learning to mod and creating a personalized watch. This is a great review, thank you Oleg :)
Got mine at about the same time that you got yours. For the price, I don’t see how anyone can complain. For much note than the price, I still don’t see how people can complain. The Invicta engraving is much less noticeable in use than I expected. The line on mine was pretty decent. My bezel loosened up after a few weeks and much playing so it’s fairly useable now. The rest of your comments (bracelet, dial text, etc) are absolutely on point (as usual). I can see myself wearing this watch for a good long time!
I have the Invicta Pro Diver and I love it. This was my first automatic watch. Best everyday watch I've ever owned. My wife bought me a Tissot automatic for my birthday. I leave the Tissot on the winding machine and wear the heck out of my Invicta. Great buy for the money.
Think the key aspect is as you mentioned a number of times "under $100". I have the Pro-Diver and it's my go to Summer Holiday/snorkeling/swimming watch. Is it perfect? No. But all the negatives you mention are easily liveable with. For the price it's a no brainer
Great follow-up review!! One of my favorite watches has been my 90940B Pro Diver. It was inexpensive and, along with my Vostock Scuba Dude, it allowed me to dip my toes into the regulating and modding arena. I would not have dared attempt fiddling around with some of my more expensive watches like I did with this watch!! Right now I have it exactly the way I think it should look (for me). I was mildly surprised to learn how easily it could be regulated, and have it running + 10 seconds per day. I installed a double domed sapphire crystal with AR coating, and stuck a nice shark mesh strap on it. I'm not bothered by the Invicta on the side, or the Invicta symbol on the second hand. These are just brand identifiers and I'm not ashamed to be seen wearing an Invicta (EGADS!!!! I said it!!!!) I've actually had far more people notice this watch when I'm out and about than when I'm wearing my Breitling Navitimer Chrono. Just goes to show that this hobby is not about how much you spend!! Thanks for sharing and my best to Bond!!! Oh....and by the way....you need new sponsors....drinking water is waaay over rated!!! :)
Nailed it , man!! I got a vostek sub dude to pair my with. Both great modding platforms or just both great deals on dependable nice looking watches! Watch on!
I’ve never owned an Invicta and I’m too far ahead in the hobby to feel the need to buy one but great video! I’ll be sure to pass the info on to newer watch nerds 👍🏻
Really enjoyed the video Oleg. If I met Mr. Invicta in the street I would shake his hand vigorously for making this watch. It's great for modding and has a movement in it that is insane for the money
Great vid. The coin edge bezel version was my first automatic watch 3 years ago. Had it on a bond style nato, as I agree with you the bracelet is a weakness of the watch. My accuracy was poor at +40 seconds/day. Now have a collection of 30 automatic watches ranging from 'chinese specials' thanks to Jody at just one more watch, a couple of Orient and a number of Seiko skx, 5's, monsters and turtles but I still have a fondness for my Invicta that started it all off.
I have the Grand Diver 3046/silver dial/blue bezel. Got it about a year ago. I had a $25 coupon on eBay, and got it for $105 - $25 = $80, and then I removed the bracelet and sold the bracelet for $60. :) (Though the Grand Diver bracelet is really nice, solid end links, milled clasp, highly polished, etc.) So, Grand diver for $20. I put a Z22 Seiko rubber strap on it, but just today I put it on a sweet $45 blue leather strap, handmade in Thailand that I had.
It's a great watch for the money. I have a couple of them and they look great on NATO or leather straps. I like to brush the sides so they don't look too blingy.
Great review bro. I bought the coin edge and love it. Its a great everyday watch and if it breaks just go on amazon and pick up a new one. They punch way above their weight 👍
I own two Invicta Pro Divers Oleg the 8927OB and the 8929OB (bluesy), both are brilliant watches for the price which for me was £69.99 each from Amazon which is about the same as buying one Seiko 5. The Invicta's are great for the price having the Seiko NH35A hand winding and hackable movement. Thanks for posting your review on the 8926 version.
Great video. My opinion is buy a Casio dw5600 for a more rugged work watch. Buy the Seiko for automatic. Then buy a nice tuxedo watch. Boom perfect three watch collection.
I have a gold-toned version of this watch that's over ten-years-old, but has the Myota movement. It's given me no problems. I even like the bracelet. Last week, I did change the bracelet to a silicone strap because I finally wanted a different look. (Eventually, the bracelet will go back on the watch.) Although I own several watches, the Invicta gets more than proportional wear time.
Don't own one but seems like a lot of watch for the money. The NH35 is a solid movement to my knowledge. The bracelet looks to be on par with the one on my Mako II, not great but it works. Love the Frenchie. We have a female. Wonderful dog. Cheers!
I've had my Pro Diver for close to a decade now, was a daily watch for several of those years. Has a few small chips in the crystal, and could really use a polish, but it is a tank. I'm pretty sure I paid like $80 for it brand new, and for that price it has more than served its purpose. Also, mine does not have a yellow rotor, but a matching stainless rotor.
I have the black coin edge version. I really like it. I have a 7.25 inch wrist too, so it fits perfect. The bezel has no play at all on mine. I recently swapped the bracelet out for a tan leather strap and I like it even more. It looks classier and a bigger plus is it cuts down its weight a lot making it more comfortable to wear in long durations. I may never go back to the bracelet. I saw this scallop version on sale for $51 on black Friday...I thought about getting it but I pass thinking it's essentially the same watch as the one I have, I do like the scallop edge though...maybe so day. I opted to get a G-Shock DW5600 on sale instead.
My first automatic watch was a Invicta Pro Diver, one of the Snoopy Versions. I actually bought more as a Peanuts collectible. It started my interest in more automatic watches. For the price, you really can’t complain. I would rather it didn’t have the Invicta on the side. I think also should have brushed center links instead of polished. I have moved on and basically lost interest in Submariner homages. I am keeping it beacause it’s a Snoopy Version.
I have all the 42mm Invicta pro diver models except for full gold ones...29176 29177 29178 29179 29180 29181 29182 I'm really impressed that I sold my Steinhart and other mid tier watches couldn't be happier 👍
Sub-style bezel. Coin edge looks different. Kind of like... a coin edge XD. Thanks for the review. Decent time piece for those people who have recently joined the watch enthusiasts fam
Enjoyed this video Oleg. I have put off seriously considering picking up any Invictas as they seem to have such a negative reputation on so many of the watch channels, but that may not be fair. Maybe it is time to try one.
I have a collection of 25 Invicta there is nothing like them, the one problem i have is getting replacement bracelets. We use to have an Invicta watch repair shop and they closed recently. Where watch bands available?
I certainly would recommend it. Very accurate and dependable. Hell, I chop my wood with that thing on, and it never misses a beat. Took it as a backup on my latest diving trip and my wife ended up wearing it. Mine is a "Coke" scallopped bezel, white dial, and I put it on a black rubber racing Alpha band. We like to mix it up over here ;-)
Invicta watch brand is a very good entry point to get into automative watch. After I get used to the movement I bought a omega sea master 300m James Bond edition
I highly recommend this one for the money I have a couple I also have a couple of the grand divers with the seiko movement their bracelets on the grand diver Addresses all the issues you had with the bracelet on this one
I liked your overall video was good. I’ve seen people scuba dive with these on so why is it that it’s rated for 200 meters some say you can shower, swim, snorkel with them but you shouldn’t scuba dive with them? I think this would be fine for light diving under 50 ft which is way under the 200 m rating. I have no personal experience diving with this but I’m interested as to why invicta rates it at 200 m and some say not to dive with it? I know a lot of your video was your personal opinion but this has been an awesome watch for me!
I have the large Invicta 16034 Grand Diver with the black MOP dial around the same price from eBay on a whim. The only drawback with a large watch on a 7 1/2” wrist is I tend to bang it easily on things because of the weight and size. Still love the watch otherwise.
Cracking review, looks to be a reasonable piece, especially as a beater, I have no problem with this end of there catalogue....love the vostok, mine is getting quiet a bit of wrist time as you've seen on Instagram....keep at it brother....⌚🏴⌚🏴
I have the 8926OB version and I have to concur with the band, it's nasty. I kept feeling like I was going to tear my thumbnail off trying to release the foldover clasp. I replaced it with a rubber strap. It's odd because I also have the Invicta Speedway 9211 and you'd think it would have exactly the same metal band, but I have no complaints about that one.
Sponsored by "Drink More Water"?! Awesome Oleg. I like that, ha ha ha As you said, it is not a fantastic watch but it is one of the best value for the money watch. One of very few that Invicta makes that makes sense, at least to me. All time classic and probably all time best seller from Invicta. Thanks for the review Oleg. PS: I also feel that bracelet is the worst part of the watch. I kind of wonder that ... how much it would cost them to make solid end link along with better clasp? $5 more from factory cost? If they make these changes, they can charge us $20 extra and there will be so many people who are willing to pay for the extra. what do you think, oleg?
Reason for stamping is so that people don't used them in forgery Rolex's is my guess. I will say, the crown needs lube on the screw down mechanism. Very rough feeling straight from the factory.
I can't believe that you sold out to Drink More Water. What a shill. The only reason you're saying anything good about Invicta is because of all that water sponsorships you're getting. I'm boycotting water for this outrage.
Great review I have a similar style to this piece and it's fantastic, I don't mind the Invicta branding on the side I actually like it I would only disagree about the finish but hey that's me
Now if Invicta can make and sell this watch for less than $100 why would you pay hundreds of dollars more for other watches with the same movement and same specs.
I got several my friend, pretty much all the colors mine are all coin edge I prefer that over the one you review I believe 2 swiss made automatic different movements, I enjoy wearing all of them great value for money..
Oh, I forgot to mention that Invicta is not 200 m water resistant. That exhibition caseback will blow out way before it's exaggerated water resistance says. If you are lucky, it may make it to 60 atm.
Considering the price point I don’t consider the cons in this review valid. It is a solid watch and very comfortable. I purchased a comparable Citizen watch back in the 90s from a department store for just under $300. On the Citizen could see that Citizen was stamped over what was pulsar on the band clasp. I assume that they farm parts out. I’m amazed you can this at $50 and higher quality than my Citizen. At this price point I feel bad for the poor souls that assembled it in China.
I have had one in the past. Even though it was the NH35 movement it was many minutes slow which is strange because I never had a problem with that movement in anything else. Then the bezel ended up falling off after a couple months. If anybody is looking for an auto in this price range just go for the Orient or the Seiko. Invicta has earned their bad reputation recently for a reason. The build quality of Invicta has not been good in my personal experience.
Great watch. Really great. Of course for some the bezel can be a little stiff what I’ve heard; nothing special, see only Orients. I wear the coin edged 8926OB. The engraving for me is neither deal maker nor breaker, Breitling, Blancpain, Hamilton do this as well. Cant be so wrong. 😌Imagine that a bracelet like this was sold with the Rolex Submariner 16610 from 1988 to 2010. Did you know? 🤭 What, Rolex? Yes, Rolex. A l l links were hollow. 🤫 In 2003 came solid e n d links. 😳 Oooohh mmmyyy Gaud.
Why does it matter unless you want to waist a thousand or thousands of dollars on a watch. I got a quartz that looks just like it from Invicta for 46 dollars and I've banged it on corners and walls etc the crystal is still not scratched or chipped. Quality doesn't mean that you have to pay a lot of money.
Stumbled on this video... And I can't get out of my head that your accent is exactly the same as agadmator chess channel. Therefore I think you are Croatian... Lol
@@24hourstime I did just that. I first ordered the Loreo from AliExpress and waited nearly a couple of weeks before ordering the Invicta Pro Diver 8926 so that I can compare and evaluate both at the same time. The Loreo came up on top. From the materials used to the action of the movement, the Loreo came up on top. I returned the Invicta and got a full refund through Amazon. I still wear my Loreo and I'm stand by my decision. The accuracy is at 2-3 sec fast per day. I'm very happy with that!
CAN YOU PLEASE DO MORE VIDEOS ON YOUR WATCHES WHILE UNDERWATER JUST LIKE THE SKX009....IT'S ASTONISHING MR. OLEG ...GREAT WATCH PRESENTATION YOU'VE....I'VE JUST SUBSCCRIBE NOW TO YOUR CHANNEL....KEEP IT UP! GOD BLESS YOU AND CUTE BOND😊....
Heh, I can't imagine why some light laser etching with the brand name on the side of the case would be a "deal breaker" for someone... wait, I bet I can imagine a reason, nevermind! 😂It doesn't bother me, I'm not ashamed of my purchase and the styling is what matters to me, not what brand it is.
Have the Invicta pro diver and like it. I looked at the Vostok but I can't wear anything with the red star. My family fled Russia after we lost the revolution. "No communist star"
@@24hourstime I've had it happen several times as a motor mechanic. Most of the time I find the smallest drill bit I can and drill into the nail as soon as it happens. Or else pressure builds up and you have a throbbing thumb for days.
For the price, it is a good deal for sure for what you get. Not for me. There are things that make it so I would not wear it, and not sure of the cost it would be to mod it. I hate the Huge logo on the side. It's an eyesore. I hate the counterbalance and the bracelet is rubbish. I saw someone modify one but I don't know the cost. He took a grinder to the Side Logo, then swapped out the bracelet for a glide locking type of solid link bracelet where you can do micro adjustments on the fly. He changed the crystal to Safire and while he was doing that he cut off the counterbalance thing on the second hand. He regulated the movement to +2 seconds a day. He paid 50 dollars USD. I don't know the mod costs. It turned out nice. It might be better to just buy a better watch. I have a beater watch for swimming and not caring about what happens. I bought a Seiko SKS with no bracelet, the crystal has a deep scratch. I was able to talk him down for 75 dollars and put on a nato strap. Since it is already banged up and has scratches on the crystal I don't worry what happens to it. I have used it in the pool and ocean, and it is not getting any water in. I hope I got a good deal. I know with a bracelet the cost is now about 120 dollars USA if not more. The movement can't be wound or hacked but the Invicta pro diver can with the NH35.
You know I've been here from start. My female French Bulldog Brie says hi again to Bond, but still wants to bite off his balls. Sorry about that, she's the meanest dog on the planet. If people viewing this channel have never owned an Invicta Diver then they have never lived life to it's fullest. So I will say to these people, "you suck". I have owned 4 Rolexes and still give Invicta "some" credit for me getting into watches. In fact I may buy another as a gift for a budding watch geek. Who knows, I may buy several.
For $50 one can't complain much, but gdamn man every time you pick thing up you can just hear how cheap it is, I gather that thing has hollow links. But again, 50 bucks... Something to get for a kid, cheapo beater.
Great Video Oleg! I have a two tone Pro Diver with a blue face and I love it. The seiko made NH35A movement is what does it for me. Had it 9 years now and still going strong!

Thanks for the review. Decent time piece for those people who have recently joined the watch enthusiasts fam
Bought Invicta Men's 8926OB Pro Diver (coin edge bezel) for $58.
Please do a follow up vid about Ginault controversy that was recently uncovered.
I'll try to do a video on my thought:)
Invicta 17044 is a good watch...has the Seiko 35A movement...coin edge, of course.
And 24 jewels.
Hand wandering unconsciously to water bottle... Damn you water! Your marketing got me again!
Try it to turn bezel in the water few time. Work for me. Every Invicta are like that.
Thank you for the nice review! I have some Invicta watches and they all work OK for me👍

makes more sense to me than a Ginault or Steinheart ... not a fan of the Submariner design over all tho. Good review, Cheers 👍

I replaced it with a rubber strap. It's odd because I also have the Invicta Speedway 9211 and you'd think it would have exactly the same metal band, but I have no complaints about that one.
Sponsored by "Drink More Water"?! Awesome Oleg. I like that, ha ha ha
As you said, it is not a fantastic watch but it is one of the best value for the money watch.
I'm boycotting water for this outrage.
hahahaha
Bye bye
Do you consider buying a Grand Seiko ?
Great review I have a similar style to this piece and it's fantastic, I don't mind the Invicta branding on the side I actually like it I would only disagree about the finish but hey that's me
Now if Invicta can make and sell this watch for less than $100 why would you pay hundreds of dollars more for other watches with the same movement and same specs.
Chris Walls Because watches are not about specs, and never were
Mihai Pascu, What, they are always about the specifications.
Chris Walls Then a Casio G-Shock for $50 beats them all.
Yes it does michai ,but that's not a reason not to buy any other watches!
@@d3xmeister precisely. Yes it does.
Thanks - good sensible review.
Best review of the watch
I got several my friend, pretty much all the colors mine are all coin edge I prefer that over the one you review I believe 2 swiss made automatic different movements, I enjoy wearing all of them great value for money..
The 7041 is also a good alternative for anyone who doesn't want a Sub homage.
Good review. Everyone seems to like these watches.
Is the loreo sub better ?
I might have just bought one.. Review is coming in the near future.
Oh, I forgot to mention that Invicta is not 200 m water resistant. That exhibition caseback will blow out way before it's exaggerated water resistance says. If you are lucky, it may make it to 60 atm.
i like the look of it, for the cash its a steal..... shame about the accuracy 22sec a day ouch.... cheers
nice, i buy it yesterday for 60 dollars
Considering the price point I don’t consider the cons in this review valid. It is a solid watch and very comfortable. I purchased a comparable Citizen watch back in the 90s from a department store for just under $300. On the Citizen could see that Citizen was stamped over what was pulsar on the band clasp. I assume that they farm parts out. I’m amazed you can this at $50 and higher quality than my Citizen. At this price point I feel bad for the poor souls that assembled it in China.
Yeah I have one. It runs plus or minus 3 seconds a day. I put it on a silicone strap. Have the coin bezel. Don’t like the scalloped bezel
Should I sell my seamaster and get a pro diver??
lol
I have had one in the past. Even though it was the NH35 movement it was many minutes slow which is strange because I never had a problem with that movement in anything else. Then the bezel ended up falling off after a couple months. If anybody is looking for an auto in this price range just go for the Orient or the Seiko. Invicta has earned their bad reputation recently for a reason. The build quality of Invicta has not been good in my personal experience.
I wouldn't be surprised if the movement was fake honestly. Didn't perform like any NH35/38 I have ever had.
i like, thanks, i'm late to the party but love it
Great watch.
Quality doesn't mean that you have to pay a lot of money.
explorer review soon? :)
Yes, I'll do a full Explorer review in the near future.
The one thing I don’t like about my watch is the bracelet is so hard to undo
This watch is like if you copied someone's home work but needed to make it different enough to not get in trouble
The Loreo homage is not better, as some commenters are trying to have you believe.
if you brush the inner bracelet links you have a complete homage for less than $100
Give bond some more water please!!
Stumbled on this video... And I can't get out of my head that your accent is exactly the same as agadmator chess channel. Therefore I think you are Croatian... Lol
It's not as good as the Loreo Sub. Trust me on this, I ordered both and I would recommend folks to do the same and see for themselves. Enough said.
I might or might not have just bought one of those lol
1:38 "21 jewels". Oops!
I just bought a 1953 for Sixty Dollars At Invicta Shop, but beware of their customer service!
Check them out now in 2023 OLeg!
Have the Invicta pro diver and like it. I looked at the Vostok but I can't wear anything with the red star. My family fled Russia after we lost the revolution. "No communist star"
Sounds like your too far BEHIND,Daniel!
Isn't it the worst thing when you bang your thumb with a hammer!
Yeah, I had a little gym accident. That nail has been like this for 2 months.
The bracelet looks cheap. The watch is acceptable only with a band replacement.
Oleg now on drugs...poor man.
lol
Yeah, but its not as good as a Vostok Amphibia!!!
Invicta, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,lol!
For $50 one can't complain much, but gdamn man every time you pick thing up you can just hear how cheap it is, I gather that thing has hollow links. But again, 50 bucks... Something to get for a kid, cheapo beater.
Crap
