I also like to see all their kits straight from the beginning originally and new come back out and to have all their kits that they have out now start coming with ball bearings. And start producing them all with all hex drive screws.
There's hope yet. The BBX BB01 came with both of what you're asking for. Steep price though 300+ pounds here in the UK. Though you can find them cheaper at times. I got a DT-03 Racing Fighter kit instead. Got some BBs coming and a couple of other upgrades like the turnbuckles. Still no Hex hardware though :'D
@@TamiyaUSAOfficial as much as I like the company they need to get with the program and start allowing lipos and lithium ions but most people use that they need to accept some change in the way they do things as it 25 turn it over meaning 26 27 28 or can I go lower than 25 with brushed?
I don't understand why Tamiya made this. Who are they expecting to buy this? It costs a fair amount more than the kit version, comes with a downgraded ESC (the TBLE-02 is a much more versatile ESC) vs. the kit, doesn't have bearings and costs more than a Traxxas Bandit XL-5. I love you Tamiya, but sometimes you do some weird things. Stick to making fun kits.
I'll be honest--I think they're for me. I've loved Tamiya kits since I was a kid but I've never bought one for myself, and I'm hesitant to get a kit that I have to build all the way. I've always wanted a Lunch Box and I think I'll now finally be getting one thanks to this series.
@@phantomleap Buy a kit! They really aren't that difficult to build. Take your time and enjoy the process. I've built several DT03 cars now and can say that they are one of the easiest to put together. You can do it!
@@ryanhodges2296 i totally get it. you buy tamiya for the assembly and quality ( user experience )... if you just want a nice looking buggy f.e. to drive around you will find plenty of preassembled options including batteries, servo, radiocontroller in a set that are cheaper or on par with the kit prices of tamiyas entry lvl models like the neo fighter.. people buying this will be a really small nieche that do like to buy the quality and feel of tamiya without the work, or would have otherwise payed somebody to build it for them.. other than that this only makes tamiya more susceptible to price comparisons as people will see that prebuild models from company x,y,z are cheaper, have more power and performance parts and are far cheaper and come with a radiocontroller, batteries and everything else you need.... If I was in the market for an rc car for myself or as a present for a child I would defenitely go with a tamiya kit as it offers a good building experience.. prebuild is just nah.. if you buy prebuild there are better AND cheaper options than tamiya IMO..
@@phantomleap I just bought a lunch box kit! I built in in about 3 hours! I’ve built a Big Wig and a Grasshopper. Very enjoyable and really not that complicated. The BigWig was probably the most time consuming because it’s a four wheel drive, but not hard at all! Give it a shot. There’s nothing more satisfying than getting a box full of parts and turning it into a kickass RC car that runs well. Don’t be intimidated by it..you’ll love it!
Right what to say about this video. First the guy doesn't have a clue. Second... Apart from the XB body your still going to have to take the thing apart to put bearings in it. Yet another fail from tamiya. Don't waist your money on this.. Buy the kit and build it yourself.. There not difficult to build at all and alot cheaper than these.
I would love to see the ready built ones to have ball bearings come with them automatically.

@@rickyyoung I remember when the bbx first came out in the states it was going for $239. It's basically all hex hardware.
We need a league for these ❤
Finally I can get a mint lunchbox to bash and upgrade
Why don't you guys make more ready to runs to compete with the current basher market? You're like 90% there.
Why not just put the servo in it and install ball bearings. That way you can choose your radio and your done .
Wheres the regular kit? Backordered everywhere for at least a month when's it coming back?
Please consider adding dt03/02 to TCS racing
I've seen people run brushless motors in it that are over 3,000 KV.
You guys have your volume one RC catalogs in for 2021?
End of November, I guess last year?
Ya, we did the video but left something out - took awhile to get it inserted.
Tamiya needs to start making electronics that will have LiPo cut offs and waterproof systems.
Check out our new TLBE-04S ESC. www.tamiyausa.com/shop/electronics/rc-brushless-esc-04s/

I thought they stopped making their own and have hobbywing all the time now. This seems to be the same one they had before they went to hobbywing.
Could really use a few 54537 please
Stupid they don’t come with the servo installed should be rtr
That’s pretty stupid why would you put the motor in and I’m leave the others out

This is coming from someone who has a Grasshopper, Hornet, Frog, Wild One, DF03, DT02, DT03T and a TRF201. I'm not a Tamiya hater or a Traxxas fanboy.

Indeed. Building these is alway a ton of fun that's what makes Tamiya kits cool. Can't se the reason behind these allmost rtr kits...
