    Thank you so much just seeing your foot positioning helped a ton I had my foot way too far forward and the way you did it is 10 times easier 🙏

    Thanx for the trick tips 😊 I only been freestyle skateboarding for a few months and it's so hard to get skid plates in Canada lol I don't think people freestyle where I live so its loads of fun skateboarding and showing people freestyle. .Thanx again Mike

    Can we please have a trick tip on core strength for holding pogos as well keeping the front of the deck up during caspers. Does board size and shape n trucks make a difference during these tricks. I'm riding a 8.1 popsicle. Any tips on skating that vs a single kick like ur pro deck by mode would be amazing as well.

      Agreed, It will melt soon! The sidewalk in front of my place is almost dry, lol. There actually is an indoor park here in Bend, but it is kinda small. Not a lot of flat area to work on the stuff I really want to, so I am riding transition and working on ledge stuff. Hope you have a rockin day, mang!

      +slimbocker73 that's how the park near me always was. Glad you're still getting out on your board! Thanks doggie 🙌

    Mike, Im 41, never skated and am trying to learn on my own. how do i get more control? i feel like even on carpet my board slips out so easily and i feel like fear of breaking myself and not being able to work (which is very active and unable to be done injured) is stopping me from progressing. Is it just muscle development? I know over trucks is most stable, and pressure on balls of my feet. ive been doing mini tramp exercises and plan to get a wooden balance board. Are there any body position suggestions or fundamentals related to where my head should be? I really feel inspired to master this but Im starting to feel too old to learn without inevitable injury. Any advice?

    Hi Mike , just a quick question , I would like to master spacewalking I think it looks an awesome trick & you make it look easy but I just cant seem to do it yet , 360s no problem. Would you say this is a very hard technique to master ?? It seems almost impossible . I Have a 27.5" x 7.25" Old school Jerry Madrid reissue deck , no concave and just a slight kick tail . I know its not a freestyle deck but I've seen Stacy Peralta spacewalking something similar. Just one more thing , is it possible to spacewalk a penny board ? Thanks

      I agree it's a very difficult trick to learn. I can do them, but they look unimpressive. To do them the way Mike does, you need to spend A LOT of time practicing.
      As with any trick, don't worry if you don't work it out the first, second, third or even fourth session you try them. Just keep trying it every time you have a skate and it Will come together eventually!

    I'd like to try this once I lock down my manuals. Looks smooth.
    Side note: How long does your setup normally last? I can't imagine you'd be flying through decks like street skaters, but pogo tricks and coconut wheelies look like they'll shorten the life of the board and wheels.

    • @mike_osterman1
      @mike_osterman1  8 років тому +1

      +The Smelly Cat's Jazz I usually go through a board every month. Pogos, caspers, and other tricks like that do a lot of damage, but I rarely snap decks. Also depends on the surface that i'm skating

    How much harder is this trick if you're using a larger "regular" skateboard with a nose and a tail?

    • @mike_osterman1
      @mike_osterman1  7 років тому +1

      +TheVideogamemaster9 not harder at all. This one might even be easier on a larger Popsicle stick deck

    Do you have to be good at manuals to do the space walk

    • @jacklouerskates

      Not really it’s more of a push pull motion it’s helps but I suck at manuals and can do them okay
