- One Step Closer to Reviving Woolly Mammoth? | Vantage with Palki Sharma
In a first, scientists have grown elephant stem cells in a lab. They say it brings the world a step closer to Woolly Mammoth de-extinction. De-extinction refers to the reversal of extinction through advanced cloning. How does it work? Can de-extinction bring dead animals to life? What ethical questions does it raise? Palki Sharma tells you.

I remember hearing news about reviving and cloning the Mammoth when I was a kid, 20 years ago... Technology is stagnating in 21st century... 70 years ago they landed on the moon, they flied to space and said in 2000s we will have flying cars now most of worlds population struggling to survive...
Science is not God
Meanwhile china:- Corona is solution for Earth
Kinda yes
@@GiftJeromeits way for us get god
If you're a kid 20 years ago, it means you're still a fully grown kid, just kidding 😂😅
Its commendable that science has progressed this far but just because WE CAN doesn't mean that WE SHOULD. What's gone, that's gone. Instead of wasting resources on reviving them Please work on saving what exists and endangered to get extinct. 😊
Yess exactly
humanity needs a hard reset.
ur DP is complimentary to ur comment
Couldn't agree more.
We humans deem ourselves as someone having rights over the earth.
But maybe, it is us who are a curse or more like a virus to this planet ?
That's an interesting Conspiracy I come up with. 😊
A hard reset means you die, i die, we all die.......so you go first ok????
@@grantlong3907
It will happen, we won't have a choice of you go first or I go last. Everything will happen in an instant......
Might be painless, who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Is a matter of time before they create a monster that will wipe out everyone
Humans are suicidal...First we created the nuclear bomb that can annihilate us, 'this monster' will be second
😂😂😂
kaiju
"hit and miss" "misshaped lungs" 😢😢. We can't even take care of the elephants that are around. ."hairy situation" indeed.
👌🙏 Good analysis 🥰
Imagine using a sloth to de-extinct the Giant ground sloth.
The real issue is to save, replenish and respect what is remaining.
That’s so ridiculous there is not enough space for them
The way the war between NATO and Russia is progressing ... I hope this technology would work for Humans too
One step closer...... a road of no return.
Palka is an old and extinct baby 👶 💕.. hmmmm.. glad I met and dating her along time ⏲️ ago.. 😊.. and still loving her ❤️. .😊.
While it's understandable to question certain scientific endeavors, it's important to recognize the value of their research and the potential benefits it could bring. Additionally, considering the implications of resurrecting extinct species on our current ecosystem is a valid concern that warrants careful consideration.

I love how you deliver stories of non political nature.Serious yet entertaining.I loved Jurassic Park.I do hope we dont go down that road of de-extincting animals.Either embark on conservation of endangered species or let extinct animal remain extinct.May be animal species are not meant to remain forever on this planet.Well done
NaNaNaNaNAaaaÂNS? 🐘🦏🦏🦏🦏...
If i recollect this was already attempted. Raising the Mammoth was the documentary on discovery channel, aired when i was a kid.
It looks like someone has collected all of the 7 dragon balls and *Shenron* 🐉 will be summoned.
😂😂😂
Lol 😂😂😂
good video... I've been hoping they can bring back the passenger pigeon, because its habitat is still here, but the mammoth's is not!!!
It’s against nature😌those who are gone gone and we will suffer more if we try to become that “which is “(source energy)
Was a study done about the black death using dna knowledge
Apparently the same gene associated with arthritis was a big marker in people who survived the black death
This is Just like it was in the days Of Noab b4 the Flood
I love the way of your storytelling, great presentation
Excellent ❤
Are you cr@zy. There is a reason why there is no TRex.
Good idea
We don't care on ethical issues ,bring back our Mammoth at whatever cost 😅
Let go 🎉
Nothing great comes easy. But, if life is a circle, I think these are phenomenal trial and error methods. 👍
imagine using human dna to clone early humans like neandrathals that would be fascinating
wow amaz
And scientifically successful hopefully ...
Key word Palki used that I admire is “Plausible”
They didnt learn anything from Jurassic park
ill believe it when i actually see it. they have been talking about bring them back but it never happen.
If somehow they manage to create a mammoth. Where will they live? I mean as our global temperature is rising continuously all the ice in both the northern and Southern hemispheres will vanish in the near future.
Perhaps then we need to construct an air-conditioned zoological park for keeping not only mammoths but also polar bears and penguins 🐧 too.
Penquins vs Polar Bears = No Chance. Incidently in Welsh Pen = black and Gwyn = white. Hence their name!
Imagine this happening to a dinosaur, that would be interesting!
This going be interesting. Humans messing with nature.
Mam ...Any news about Mr.Sonam Wangchuck of Ladakh and Manipur
Scary. What creature they will revive in the future.
Adoft Hitler and Joseph Stalin

Especially since planet warming
Yay now we will have jurassic after covid 19
That's dope.
Unfortunately, the wealth insurance system of the Pharoas failed.
WOW!
If this mammoth ever gets revived, my first question I want answered is what does it taste like?
My cat is getting very old. Do you think Housing New Zealand can provide a rather oversized kennel to keep a Mammoth in along with the rest of its herd as they're social animals? Far be from me to be difficult...
way ahead of you they already made a mammoth meat ball. but sadly no one tasted it
Here is a question, where are they even going to put them with the ice caps melting?
Well, Antartica and bottom of South America too. It may be too late for the north, but help stop the bottom of the Sothern Hemisphere from such a fast destruction through climate change, as putting such a massive program through will take decades. Reactive, not proactive.
Oh, don't worry about that! West of Java will be the New North Pole and West of Cuzco the New South Pole and the Old North and South Poles will be the New Equator. Tidal waves 3 miles high and so on. You won't be here to worry!
👍
Mammoth are like Caucassain of Elephants that’s why they are trying so hard 😂 just kidding
Bruhh😂
Creating Mammoth during the time of global warming, genius!
The entirety of planet is not scorching with heat 😂
Don't forget about Caspian Tiger , Bali Tiger & Java Tiger.
Saber tooth Tiger!
I wanted to clear up a common misconception about extinct animals. You know how we often think they were these huge, monstrous creatures? Well, turns out, that's not always the case! When we discover fossils of prehistoric animals, it doesn't necessarily mean they were bigger than today's animals. Take the T-Rex, for example. It was actually slightly smaller than a modern African elephant, which is quite different from how they've been portrayed in movies like Jurassic Park. The biggest land animal from prehistoric times, the Argentinosaurus, wasn't even as big as a blue whale, the largest animal today! And those woolly mammoths? They were actually just a bit smaller than African elephants, but still bigger than Asian elephants. and about sabertooth tigers? People often think of them as these monstrous beasts with long fangs, but they were actually not as big as Siberian tigers. They were slightly smaller in size. So, next time you think of ancient beasts, remember, they weren't always giants!
I heard that it is not possible to bring the exact species back to life. Only some genetic characters will be similar to the extinct animal.
You think it would happened by now.
So, after they bring back this wolly mammoth hairy elephant back to life, in whose yard would they keep it? Whose pet is it going to be?
After Life mine god help god protection to me always in UK
So we're building Jurassic part before gta 6?
why?
Hairy situation :D
👍🏻🤣
SNL's Joke Swap is the most savage news presentation.
🇮🇳 Palki “ SAVAGE ” Sharma - Hold my beer.
“ ...the species went extinct again..” 😂
“ This is a hairy situation. ” 😂😂
Bring them back
The simple rule. Do not play with The Nature.

Thats assuming the scientist in question believes in gods 😆
if u r properly aware of ur surrounding world then u wud hv known da fact that some of the top tier scientists in de world believe in spirituality and confess that they r not smart enough to make statement that there is no god as there is much to discover and science has just started scratching de surface which already points towards that a world is much more than only physical and how intelligently it has been created and organised in order life to exist.. how planets r orbiting in a fixed given paths to which scientists hv given name "gravitational forces" such a smart and well thought out universe and stuff cant b a product of no thought
Lovely Palki ❤
You should go see the paleo zoo keeper association
I like firstpost news can I get it on spotify
I want them to clone dinosaurs..😂😂😂
Yes if we can then we should
We are humans, we are god itself, there's nothing we can't do
Yes I believe humans are God and they can achieve anything through science
Try getting real and working with nature instead of trying to contol it.
Elephant sized leap.
I wanna see the t-rex
Don’t tempt nature. Nothing is bigger than nature.
And it's really not that hard!!! Just inject the egg at right time of cell growth with right cuts to bring back/ to get designed traits in your Specimen. Most of the work in finding what needs a cut at right time to get your desired traits in your specimen. But if you wanted the true size of the dinosaur, you would have to complicate for the oxygen. So maybe a modified gut bacteria that produces the right amount of oxygen when dinosaurs around there was a lot more oxygen.????
Didn't we see enough if these dinosaurs movies and that they never ended good for us? Havent these so called researchers and scientists learned ?
Lets save and respect the current elephant species first then we should move on with fantasies
Where do they live in Africa...,?!
They have a time trying to keep elephants alive.i dont get it.
We don't need it which is ended be focuse for clean earth and secure from falling stars..
Just glue some orange fur on an elephant and charge $299.00 to see it.
Bring back saber tooth tiger
Why we want to revive extinct
animals??
Isn't it fascinating to you, it's like seeing an alien species.
@@martin96991 That fascination can lead to something harmful. These animals went extinct for a reason. It's like opening Pandora’s Box. Not a wise thing to do.
@@cocoblessings Ya maybe Mammoth went extinct for a reason. But what about other animals that went extinct due to humans. What about them?
@@cocoblessings Jurassic Park comes to mind... This is reckless science.
@@cocoblessingsthat’s not very intelligent. Why do we have medicines then? Maybe humans become sick for a reason and hence should be left to die. Cmon
Wholly Mammoth 🦣🦣🦣 ....
Looks tasty 🤤😋😋
50years later mammoth kfc

Scientists: if we can, we must.
Humans trying to become God.
Vinasha kale vipreet buddhi 🙏🙏
Can't wait for Jurassic Park
By the time they are done all the ice would have melted... After that what nest,😒😒
Why do theywant to de eextinct them
I would take anything that comes from US universities with pinch of salt. Hope this isn't another "Moon Landing" hoax.
Humans again
This is crazy there is a reason these animals are dead...leave the dead alone
For last 25 years i am listening to this BS, Mammoths will be revived soon, its like Jony Levers abhi theek karke deta hoon jibe.
Nothing should be done which stand against scientific advancements, ethical considerations cannot be biased if you can eat eggs for breakfast and chiken for dinner thats like torture and blood just for mere tatse when alternatives are available, i am a vegetarian and all ethical considerations to all and if not than atleast dont start it to stand against scientific advancements. may be this way we could know better about dna and would take one step closer to immortality.
It’s stupid. There are too many Dr Frankenstein in this world.
humans also killed the Mamoths until extinction so they where playing god to back some 3600- 4000 years ago
Waste of money! We can even protect the elephant and rhinos
Bring dodo back
🐘🦏🦏🐘🦏🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🦏🦏🦏🐘🐘🐘....
This is nearly impossible 😂😂😂
Be careful they don't bring back ravana
ahahaha IMPOSSIBLE.. if they are missing even a SINGLE letter in the dna they ll get soup..
theres no way to tell if they have the whole code or not.. thats just silly
One day we'll see extinct dinosaurs, big cats, deadly birds once again.🎉
i don't think it's a smart thing to do ! there's a reason, they went extinct !
@@loendsti I agree!
Jack Horner is REVERSE ENGINEERING BIRDS 🐦 BACK INTO DINOSAURS 🦕
🐦 +/- 🦕 = 🦕
🐦 = 🦕
I regularly watch Palki Sharma, but find the style very repetitive now .
I hope there is some ‘benefit’ in ‘reviving’ an extinct animal like the mammoth. Nah, it’s probably for profit again. When will human learn? Probably never. We need a new earth with respectable inhabitants. Can’t wait for the King of all kings.
