It looked good out there! The damp sand might have bogged it down a little but it still looked great slinging it around! The pirouette in the middle was crazy, I am glad you showed it again in slow-mo, I was not sure how in the world you managed to do that! LOL!!
Lovely bash edit as always, Dom! I loved that spin-jump-thing it did, happy you added a slo-mo of it! It's a cool buggy, this old GHII, very iconic even if the older version is the legend...
Really well done video and just the right duration. The landscape choice was perfect, the color blend of car and scenery was ideal and that mid air vertical spin was awesome. Love your work bro you nailed it.
Hoppers are good fun. It looked like it ran really well with the Torque Tuned motor. Funnily enough I have some of that exact same dirt on my bench right now 😄
@@rc-dom-uk I love it, but it's in pieces at the moment. I got the Axial rear sway bar and fitted that today. I also stripped of the top parts of the cage to get at the ESC and lights. I've changed the IC3 to an XT60 on the ESC and switched the jumper to lipo. I've added 2 more led's to the rear bar and 2 more to the front bar. All I have to do now is tidy up the wires and put it all back together. It's very similar to working on a Wraith. A bit of a pain but very enjoyable 😀
yeah i’ve worked on a wraith and it’s not the most convenient chassis 😂 glad u like it . i don’t actually know how it crawls as i mostly took it trailing and with a 20t it was quite nippy . originally it had a 35t . i’d imagine it’s very capable 👍
i stuck yellow tamiya grade in mine . they could probably be softer . when it’s due maintenance i’ll try the super soft one maybe . thanks for watching 😊👍
Wonderful video Dom, thanks! My son and I are building a Black Edition Grasshopper II right now actually. Your video is very helpful in showing how stiff the rear suspension is even with the oil shocks that it comes with. I don’t think I ever saw it compress once. Makes me wonder if we should clip a couple of turns from the rear springs. Do you have any advice on this mate? Again, thanks for the terrific video - loved it. James from Queensland, Australia.
thanks for watching 😊👍 yeah that rear just bounces . u could try your idea maybe but just watch it doesn’t make the springs to short 🤔 i would possibly try tamiya red dampener oil first and go from there before doing anything irreversible ( i mean u could order two new springs but it can be a hassle ). hope you enjoy the build and buggy 😊👍
@@rc-dom-uk Thanks Dom. Okay will do. Do you know the Wt of the Tamiya red and yellow shock oils that come with their kits? I have some 30Wt oil on my shelf if that is even thinner.
Ah man!!!! 1.34.....what a display!! 🙏 Now go back and pull that one off again and I will be really impressed Dom! Awesome! Now I've had this kit in my ebay watched list for a few years now, just never pulled the trigger. Does it drive very similar to the original hopper and hornet mate, or is it distinguishable in its own way? It definitely looks like a lot of fun for very little money. My parents gave me £100 for Xmas to buy an entry level kit.... It's between this, candy green hopper, or another lunchbox (which I would heavily modify to stupid levels!) This one certainly looked great out there, and of course, black hoppers matter! 😂 👍 👍 👍
ya know i only got it as it was super cheap but i really like it . oil filled shocks and it’s got the hornet rear style axle so it can wobble . it’s closer to the hornet tbh . it does come with a 380 but i slapped a tt on it . it’s like most hoppers , just fun . 😊👍
@@rc-dom-uk Cool man, cheers for the info! 👍 Torque tuned is a perfect choice for these kind of cars! Certainly looks like heaps of fun mate. I noticed it looks a lot drier up your way than it is down here.... I've never known it to rain so many days, for so long! 👍 👍 👍

i’ll never do that again i’m sure 😂😂😂 thanks for watching my friend 😊👍
Barrel roll with the piece of branch was rad! Showed that piece of wood who’s boss. Box art for this one is perfect 👌
thanks buddy. yeah the barrel roll was kinda cool😂👍
Your GH2 was lapping that terrain up Dom! Cool video with some cool stunt driving there! 😎👌👍
cheers mark 😊👍

yeah it’s always in the shadow of its legendary older bro but it’s actually a slightly better car
Really well done video and just the right duration. The landscape choice was perfect, the color blend of car and scenery was ideal and that mid air vertical spin was awesome. Love your work bro you nailed it.
thanks buddy. that’s really kind and glad you enjoyed it. i don’t expect i’ll ever pull off that spin again 😂😊👍
Man , I didn't think it would stick the landing with that nose up barrel roll. Looked sweet.
thanks paul 😊👍
Awesome run Dom. Somehow I miss the flying sand, but it's a pleassure to see the Grasshopper plowing its way.
i miss the flying sand to, aldo means it’s warm 😂👍
The black edition looks great. Nice shots!
thanks buddy 😊👍
Great maiden run there Dom! That motor sure wakes this buggy up!
👍😊
thanks buddy 😊👍
Great stuff as always Dom! Love how the GH2 looks
thanks craig 👍
Hey there Dom, that’s a cool looking 2nd generation Grasshoppper, certainly does have a great presence around the sandy terrain. Best wishes 😊😊
thanks john 😊👍
Loving those beats.. and that twist flip at 1:40! I know it was probably a lucky shot, but nice one!
yeah total fluke but it looked good 😂👍thanks buddy 😊👍
cool rc and awesome run

Wow, some nice stunts there. Love the car 😊 Excellent vids, thanks for sharing 👏🤝
thankyou for watching 😊👍much obliged
I’m thinking some really light oil in the rear shocks might be beneficial in mine since watching this. Awesome video.
