    Friend smashed water pump cover on wr250r late October on alpine single track 10 miles deep, left bike.
    We went for recovery with new Wp cover and coolant next weekend, brought the chainsaw because I knew deadfall would be a problem. Saw threw the chain first log we had to cut….
    bike stayed out there 9 months, through the winter and probably 4-5 feet of snow.
    We saved it in July once we could cross the river, brought a battery, gas tire, plug, everything we could.

    Great video thanks for sharing. I do a lot of solo riding my biggest fear is breaking down by myself deep in the woods. Does anyone know of a service or industry that would recover dirt bikes in the woods. Something like sea rescue for boaters.

    Gnarly recovery. My best yet was when my cheap Chinese clutch lever broke after a tumble and I was solo. Was only a mile from the truck but it took about an hour - had to do some crazy stuff to pull the clutch out to be able to ride it a little bit.

      dang did you have any zip ties? we've zip tied cables and used it like a finger pull type thing hah

    My KTM Freeride broke down about 20km from the van and that day we didn't carry any straps. We used a tree branch long enough that we were sitting on it. Didn't get us all the way but out of the gnarly trails and to the road. But longest ride I ever had. Towing a dirt bike in soft sand is not easy at all.

    • @TrailBoundco
      @TrailBoundco  2 роки тому

      how did you use the tree branch???

    • @helavatar

      @@TrailBoundco placed it on the seat and sat on it while gripping my legs against the bike. Towing rider did the same - but he had a rear seat strap for extra support. I think my friend should have some pictures after we got off the trail. xD
