let me know if you have any good bike recovery stories, always love hearing about those adventures
Friend smashed water pump cover on wr250r late October on alpine single track 10 miles deep, left bike.
We went for recovery with new Wp cover and coolant next weekend, brought the chainsaw because I knew deadfall would be a problem. Saw threw the chain first log we had to cut….
bike stayed out there 9 months, through the winter and probably 4-5 feet of snow.
We saved it in July once we could cross the river, brought a battery, gas tire, plug, everything we could.
ouch
Nice work!
We carry tow straps and I have a up to 5 to 1 small light pullie kit I made and we pack it on some rides .
Looks like that was out by you , for a minute I thought it was one of my trails lol.
That was cool a bunch a bros helping out
Man that looks a lot like G town
That’s what I was thinking
Whole lot of nfr fam out there
Also did have a tow strap on the original ride
Glad Greg got it back … about dam time hahaha
🤘🏼🤘🏼
Love the mix of gear and civilian clothes 🤣🤣
I love you
Been easier to put a top end kit in it and rode it out
Great video thanks for sharing. I do a lot of solo riding my biggest fear is breaking down by myself deep in the woods. Does anyone know of a service or industry that would recover dirt bikes in the woods. Something like sea rescue for boaters.
Good stuff😂
Looks like gt 💪🏻
Looks like a fun day out with the boys, the wheelie was great
hah yeah it was pretty fun figuring it out. got a solid ride in after we fixed Seths chain too
So awesome!
Gnarly recovery. My best yet was when my cheap Chinese clutch lever broke after a tumble and I was solo. Was only a mile from the truck but it took about an hour - had to do some crazy stuff to pull the clutch out to be able to ride it a little bit.
dang did you have any zip ties? we've zip tied cables and used it like a finger pull type thing hah
My KTM Freeride broke down about 20km from the van and that day we didn't carry any straps. We used a tree branch long enough that we were sitting on it. Didn't get us all the way but out of the gnarly trails and to the road. But longest ride I ever had. Towing a dirt bike in soft sand is not easy at all.
how did you use the tree branch???
@@TrailBoundco placed it on the seat and sat on it while gripping my legs against the bike. Towing rider did the same - but he had a rear seat strap for extra support. I think my friend should have some pictures after we got off the trail. xD
Very entertaining video Chris! Glad you got that thing out, gave me a good laugh :)
ha thanks glad you liked it. pretty fun adventure
Jaker on the quad 🤣
he is a ripper, wonder if he road one before 2 wheels snake!?
How could you leave a bike out there for 3 weeks?? I feel like I would have to figure out something much sooner than that! Just me though
Got snowed out!
Honestly it was so far out that no one would’ve ever found it. Only worries were the rats and the environment lol
When i was 16 got stuck in a ravin and buried my bike in mud almost over the engine, had to go find a guy in a Chevy blazer to pull me out
haha damnit!
Looks fairly steep looking down looks 10 times worse looking uphill lol
Wishin for the chainsaw winch I bet, and about a mile of mule tape😆
ive never seen a chainsaw winch! that sounds rad
@@TrailBoundco oh boy, look it up, best recovery tool ever ever invented.... no doubt😎
I would have reported it stolen 🙄😬
Shoulda had a Yamaha to pull you out!..better yet you wouldn't be in this predicament if you had a Yamaha..lol
blu crue!
I'd be pissed if my "friend". Came out to help me recover my bike an recording instead of helping
haha we traded off dont worry had plenty of hands
you see boys that why you should never buy this brand they just Keep Taking your Money.
lol
They all take your money in my experience.
Quads although giant, slow and boring!, do serve a purpose.
sometimes you gotta carry some shit!
Where are all the TPI haters? I thought only TPI bikes blew up? Oddly enough, never had an issue with either of my TPI bikes.
hah carb life
They all blow up eventually. TPI’s average is just a lot sooner.
