If James Gunn ever helps a crossover happen, the characters would be so confused as to how fictional characters are real.
Well. In the 60s they said that in Earth 1 the JLA are the main Heroes and the JSA are a comic while on Earth 2 the JSA are actual the real Heroes of their universe. So they can easily explain this Just Say that What in the DCU Is fiction Is true in another and viceversa.
@@francescozenocchini4428 i'm pretty sure OP meant how DC is fictional in the marvel universe and vice versa, not within DC's multiverse
Like how black lightning reacts when he meets superman in crisis
@EdittZz Yeah something about the writers of the comics in the DCAU were somehow connected to that alternate Earth using the adventures of the hero's of that Earth turning them into comics but once that Earth was nuked the ideas stopped and the comic stopped being produced in the DCAU. Would be like Stan Lee dreaming about the Marvel universe and then coming up with the many hero's and storylines we have today.
James Gunn's credibility is up for debate.
DC and Marvel seems to be on good terms with each other. I wish the same could happen with the fan base.
agreed
It mostly is for the most part. I love marvel and DC both.
DC and Marvel have always been on good terms, the fight is between Disney and Warner
They’ve always been chill, they even had many crossovers over the years
I laughed out loud the first time I heard Deadpool say "I'm Batman."
Wow I didn't realize the MCU actually started straight up referencing DC characters by name recently
My all time favourite DC reference is back in Spider-Man 1981, the one-season TV show. There’s a few different Superman references, but the best one is when a man in glasses steps out of a phone both and Peter Parker says “Hey, haven’t I seen that guy before?”
Edit: the episode came out around the time the movies did, and he even makes a joke about taking Betty to the movies to see “an alien that’s allergic to green rocks”. Gets me every time
I don’t know why, but I found the last line from Drax the funniest of all these! Hahahaha it was such a normal line, yet coming from him was pure gold.
1:04 I love the Green Lantern references on Deadpool 😂😂😂😂😂
I feel like in the MCU the DCU exists just as pop culture and comic books, and vice versa
1:20 I wouldn’t count that Flash reference
It wasn’t.
It was just the characters name
But they're acknowledging that he's called Flash for being fast, and it's likely they thought of The Flash when giving the name.
@@Spectahman2.0 Not really, the word flash has existed long before the character was created either the definition meaning “move or pass very quickly.”
The character in the comics was named Eugene "Flash" Thompson for his athleticism in sports. Here it's because he's quick to answer questions. I have a hard time believing they named the character after the DC superhero when all similarities stop at a common word used as a nickname for somebody's skill.
In the flash one the boy was named flash he’s usually peters bully and he said “You see flash, being the fastest isn’t always best if you’re wrong”
You missed two references. At NWH, Flash wrote a book called "Flashpoint". And in Loki during the song "Holding out for a hero" it says Superman
The Green Lantern ones got me 🤣
@officialdcentertainment You didn’t even try with this one
You missed two. In Hawkeye when Kate is suggesting suit ideas to Clint she says "how about a black suit with a (mask and hood/hood and mask can't remember which way around)" which is just the Arrowverse Green Arrow suit but black and in Rogers the Musical one of the lines is "The sky turns red". A reference to Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Now can you do Marvel references in DC movies and shows?
He did that a couple years ago
Going back to your roots I see
Pretty sure Jessica Jones and the Purple Man referred to themselves as the Dynamic Duo at one point in season 1 when they were working together.
Its pretty obvious now that because those Batman jokes were in Deadpool 1 and 2, we're getting a Batman cameo in Deadpool 3. Firstly because Deadpool is travelling the multiverse for the first time, so its a perfect opportunity to visit DC. Secondly because Ben Affleck was seen on the Deadpool 3 set, and just several months prior, Ryan said he wanted Ben in the film so he could make fun of his Batman. Think about it, the first 2 films just mention Batman, but the payoff will be seeing him in Deadpool 3. They said the end credits was TRULY amazing, and the only thing that fits that description, is a DC crossover with Batman. This is what its gonna be.
MCU is trying so hard for a crossover, it would be epic!
There's also Spider-Man 3 where Peter says Shazam again.
I'm not saying one is better than the other, but stuff like this showe how DC heroes are still more iconic to the general audience.
Watch one episode of any cw arrowverse show, they make a multitude of MARVEL references
In the Spider-Man 1, Tobey rips his shirt just like Superman. And in Spider-Man: No Way Home Flash, Thompson shows off his book "Flashpoint"
There was also the Shazam line in Spider-Man
The Flash one is referring to the character’s real name, not the superhero
Yeah his name is flash, but it's a joke at the DC character flash, the teacher said not always being the fastest is a good, thing, get it flash is fast? Also in Spiderman no way home, when flash finds out Peter is Spiderman and he wants to be his friend, he makes a book, and the book he titled it flashpoint, again another reference to DC character flash, who went back in time to save his mother from dying and created flashpoint. Don't over complicate things bud
We need this
That wasnt a flash reference in Spider-Man Homecoming, thats his name and being fastest was in reference to whats happening in class not "the fastest man alive "
It could be both tbh like a little sneaky reference
@@that1guyEli_jah it isnt
@@HawkMaestroTTV flash answers a question wrong and quick soooo the teacher is saying flash answering questions fast isn’t always the best
@@that1guyEli_jahHis name is Eugene flash Thompson
Neat
Fun fact the voice they choose for Kevin Bacon actually played Bat Fleck!!!!! Except in the Flash
The disrespect on demitri
Deadpool continuosly roasting the Green Lantern movie will never get old 🤣
In Deadpool case, that the whole different universe, he live in "fourth wall" universe which mean he can use all superheroes references whatever he want
Bruh i rlly want a Marvel and DC crossover
I saw the actor of Lee Thompkins in Gotham 1:34
I love 2:50 because if Bruce wayne ever meet Bruce Banner then I hope they said "you copy my name"
The Flash one is more coincidental. That's always been his name.
Flash thompson is LONG running Spiderman character
Hated Eternals but loved the DC references in it. There was a claim by some director or whatever that DC comics doesn’t exist in the MCU but Eternals thoroughly retconned that
First Deadpool breaks the 4th wall, knows DC, what happens next? He meets Gwenpool?
The deadpool movies were the most explicit with their references.
You forgot one reference from no way home when flash thompson did the book called "flashpoint"
Not sure if this is DC, but I remember Iron Man calling Star Lord Flash Gordon.
I wonder how marvel and dc would have a crossover event, since dc characters have been established to be fictional in marvel movies.
So in The MCU,DC does exist but as i think only in comic books merchandise movies and shows and i think this is the same for DCEU as well
Could you talk about that horrible Justice League 1997 film? Maybe you could even try to build something around that.
Deadpool exploiting dc : You are so dark, you sure you are not from the dc universe 🔥🔥🔥
Marvel wants to be on DC’s goodside👍👍👍
The arrowverse constantly referenced marvel so I guess it’s all fair game
1:17 That isn't a DC Flash reference, the character she's talking to is literally named "Flash"
In the Marvel universe DC is entertainment
In the real world we have Fans can like Marvel and DC comics and hopefully Warner bros and Marvel and Disney will make a crossover to bring our characters together on the screen at the movies.
What was that Joker one? I missed it.
someone is dressed similar to joker with the green hair
And someone was clapping slowly like joker in the dark knight
1:25, it's not a reference to THE FLASH. Dude's name is Flash Thompson lol
Huh I guess the dc universe in the mcu is like our world
My headcanon is that DC comics exist in the marvel universe, and Marvel Comics exist in the DC universe. The CW shows reference Marvel characters by name a bunch
I think all Deadpool scenes should be excluded or differently categorise.. as Deadpool is a character who breaks 4th wall so he referring dc is justified.
the joker cameo? lmao
What?
Fox not marvel
Brooo😂
Both Marvel And Dc do not mix into any other references in the movies.
This is what you are resorting too now? 😂 Yeah b/c james Gunn surely won’t pay marvel back with references of marvel characters in DC movies. WRONG! Let’s get a crossover movie like they did with JLA/Avengers-Avengers/JLA books in the early to mid 2000’s
This is the best marvel content since 2014. 16 if I'm being generous 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
More like 2018. Nothing post-Infinity War has been very good.
@@ImTheReverse nwh?
@@bruhmanofyear2647 Fan service and that’s it.
@@StudAnimator Fan service and that’s it.
@@ImTheReverse And If tobey and andrew didn't show up, Y'all would have been mad.
They should make a Watchmen 2 that takes place in 2013 right after man of Steel and ha e superman be in a good 10 to 30 mins of the movie. That's enough screen time for him to be important but the movies not about him. Or the whole movie could be a superman Watchmen team up
Just do doomsday clock
@@Hiro-rx8yb oh yea
Deadpool kinda annyoing
Thats the point though hes the murk with the mouth not the murk whos a comedian
@@Jrsonicyt-is-weird i dont think Deadpool has to br annyoing to us but h3 is the most overrated overhyped character everyone think he is the funniest bc he breaks the 4th wall bruv theres plenty other (better) characters that can do that and he is not the first one to break the 4th wall but everyone says its him bc they know shit about anything he is only popular bc of the movies thats the saddest part he is not a movie character he is an comic character but the superhero movies are destroying the comic indrusties bc if in the movies they change something they change in the comics and its foking annyoing the old superhero movies was better (my opinion) they got people excited to read comics nowdays they dont read comics and think they are know everything because they saw the movies these are fake fans they love the movies not the characters
