4:27 such a cute hold... :D
the beauty of climbing is when you close the problem you work so hard on, and you are so happy that you cant tell the feeling.
That feeling when you know the guy screaming is Adam Ondra
signature screwm just as Godzilla's
do you feel like you're a man of culture and are smarter than everybody else or something ? Really don't get it lmao
Great comic relief in the middle with classic Adam Ondra
every time i watch this video,,,,,i'm so exicited to go climbing,,,,,
way more entertaining for more people than a philosophical discussion about the significance of linking 4 crimps together and how that will complete your life and propel you in the 11th dimension. Great job, man
At age 59 I am dedicating my first entire season to developing strength and power (my tech and stamina have been my strengths for decades), so this is a great motivator!
A better name might be "The Power of Climbing", but power can be beautiful so fairplay. Thank you very much!
Wow, this video really motivated me. I knew there was something about climbing that I loved, but a lot of videos I watched tonight were so boring, that I was starting to think climbing was for suckers. Then I saw this, and wow, it seems so healthy, so cool, so explosive, it gives you such a great physique, I love it, except maybe for those uncomfortable shoes
Thanks Tim for beautiful video, good job
Awesome compilation. I even recognized a few parts of the IFSC Euoropean Championship Eindhoven in 2013 ;)
brilliant compilation, so inspiring
Loved the adam screams in the middle.
Loved every second of this vid! Thanks!
+beau zimmerman Thank you!
truly inspirational !
Cool video, although really should be called "the beauty of dynamic throws and one-arm pull up strength" :-P
This motivation is AWESOME
Awesome Motivation... Thanks for this video...
Beautifully edited video. Really enjoyed watching it :)
+cloudyhc Thank you!
Hands sweating in 3,2,1..
I thought it was just me
Me too hahaha

Someone should make one of those dubstep remix videos of adam ondra screaming :D

RIP Ueli!
fantastic video mate
+Alexandros Papaspyros Thank you!
Beatiful! Keep it up!
+Alberto Pettine Thank you! Appreciate it!
awesome one buddy!! fair play to ya!! =) kmon beast!!
+Evandro Supertramp Thank you!
Es pontas dyno is still one of the sickest things in climbing today
so... climbing=dino?
+Yama Bushido I wanted to show spectacular climbing and dynos are always spectacular. I guess you're right, I have to admit that dynoing is somewhat overrepresented in this video. It's easy to find footage of spectacular dynoing on the internet and that made the making of this video easier too.
As a climber I prefer to climb static as much as possible. It truly shows power. But it is just my opinion
+Yama Bushido I respect your opinion mate!
+Yama Bushido good point! I didn't even notice that.
Watching people climb slab and static isnt fun to watch, there is alot of dyno's because as tim said, they are spectacular to view. This applies to climbers as well as non climbers, people who have never climbed are going to be much more amazed by people doing moves like this then understanding how hard something that climbs statically is.
thanks for video
Awesome :D
😍
sick
Wow! Inspiring
+solarspecialist Thanks!
Amazing people they hang at literally nothing whereas I need to hold something just by standing at the edge of terrace.
I fucking love this shit!!
Won der ful. Simply.
This is an intense video😬😬
Glad we all got to stop for a second and listen to Adam ondra screaming on sport climbs
And then there is me who can not even climb the wall at school...
in my mid 40s and i just got a calling to get into climbing.
i know i missed the first bus. we will see
4:16 Who thought it would be a good idea to put such a huge dyno after the second clip?!?! As a routesetter, this look very disturbing to be :OO
The vid was great though :)
it's a very wierd route, if you closely the moves below seem to be only dyno's as well with a run&jump start, it's run&jump - dyno - dyno - dyno and perhaps another dyno after this one since you cant see any holds above. I think the setters set this for themselves as a challenge for the lolz. Also 5:09 seems to be the same route so it's pretty much a dyno only route
okay.. hyped as fuck now :)
+EarlGrey Great! Get yourself to a climbing spot as fast as you can! ;)
Anyone know any good ways to train as a straight up beginner to bouldering?
I want to get into it, but I don't have the first idea at how to go about it.
I'm no where near strong enough so I was wondering if anyone knows of a guide or a good video to reference?
If you are a beginner, you shouldn't make your training too complex. You just have to climb a lot and you always have to be patient too. Resting is just as important as the training itself. Always have a good warm up, so that you don't injure yourself. You can do a little running, some push ups, pull ups and sit ups. You also have to warm up while climbing. Don't start with a grade that is difficult for you, but slowly build up the grade that you climb. Another good tip is to find another beginner that you can climb with. Climbing with someone else is more motivating and more fun than climbing alone and you will get better more quickly if you climb with someone that motivates you.
Thanks a bunch, really good tips.
Epic music interrupted by the Ondra war cry....
It was a great vid but the best part was Dave graham so intently screwing in that hold
when i watch this.i just think when will be launch~~~this movieXDDD
The best bit about 1:45 is it's such a big move, you don't even notice he's two-fingering it, as well :-)
Yes, it's a 1-9 campus move, only Jan Hojer can do that ;)
good god what happened to the guy who fell off the cliff face at the beginning???
3:50 hey chill CHILL
All this guys are refind their instinct primitive respect i work for that me too....
UA-cam... why you always show me this!? Now i want to climb something.
RIP Dean Potter
+Jacob Slaughter Yes, indeed!
The real beauty of climbing is Shauna coxsey
How do u Edit these vids so great. Plssssssssss tell me
Hi, I have made this video with windows movie maker, the most basic and easy video editing program. It only takes a lot of time, dedication and cutting to make the images flow nicely with the music.
7:19 thanks
dynos are awesome to watch, but climbing is just more than that...
yes, the video was just a lot of dinos 😮💨
What's up with the guy at 0:19? Fall or base jump?
It's both, he soloes a wall with his parachute on and when he is too tired too reach the top, he jumps off the wall and opens his parachute. It was an invention of Dean Potter (man on the video) and he called it free base.
Climbing is not equal to dynos. But it makes me want to climb right nkw
Was würden wir ohne Daumen machen ^^
Nice vidéo! But in my opinion very badly titled... I would have called it "I believe I can fly", or "Rock climbing: a Micheal Bay tribute", or "Power is all that matter", or "You don't need feet", or "Slabs are for pussies".
Sorry I'm mocking you, I guess it was big work to edit all this together and I respect that. But seriously, "The Beauty of climbing" ??? :)
This is why slab climbing is on vimeo: vimeo.com/159383327 :P
+Jahremz I didn't expect this video to get so much views. If I had known, I might
have put more thought in the title, but thank you for watching!
lol dont be salty dynos are way more fun to watch than slow static slabs
Slabs are more fun to climb, Dynos are more fun to watch (not always, but I'm primarily a slab climber)!
I was going to be a bit more forgiving and say "Dynamic flow heavy routes must be your favorite".
The clip of the German team practicing (the dyno flow indoor route where they're all in cross trainers) keeps popping up in compilations despite being as much about climbing as watching people work a hangboard (albeit more impressive to non-climbers and certainly prettier to watch). It's a part of climbing, but certainly isn't the whole deal.
Just two passages for A. Ondra :c You could have taken La Dura Dura, Change, The brutal etc, there are only impressive move ! And you forgot the free solo climbing! And to much dynos.. But good video overall ( sorry for my english! )
just full dinos... 😮💨
soon climbers will be launching themselves to ISS and wave hi to the scientists up there by doing a one arm pinky on a 0.01mm crimp hold in one powerful move
"ya bro you just gotta send it go fo the dyno crushaaa"
Where is the place at 2:03?
Central Rock Gym in Worcester or the part before that was in Salt lake city, Utah at a deep water solo competition. Didnt't know for sure which one you meant.
4:27 OH MY GOD WTH
0:18? Fall in water or fall to death?
He had a parachute on his back, so he didn't fall to his death. However, he died in a wingsuit flight in Yosemite in 2015. RIP Dean Potter, a tragic loss to the climbing community.
Thanks, sad.
LOL at some of these comments - "The Beauty of Climbing" should show more slabs.
Here you go: here's some ripping music to slab climbing. Really pumps you up, doesn't it? Maybe you can turn this music on while you watch, instead.
ua-cam.com/video/_KJ9PzHwEVo/v-deo.html
Original video from 2:20 anyone?
It's a part of the climbing movie 'Progression' from 2009.
Thank you very, very much!
5 years later me... ua-cam.com/video/rzBYhSHupn8/v-deo.html is totally amazing strength
Great climbing, but to way much cutting between each clip..
climbing is as beautiful as dance except every single movement makes s e n s e, nothing arbitrary
C'est cela l'evolution humaine demain les gênes vont s'enregistrer la possibilité de t'elles mouvements automatiques
