I must say, Marte has really come far with climbing, remember how she used to be “Normal girl” and deathly afraid of heights, but look at her now, very impressed of her effort! Magnus is also pretty cool ;)
Love to see you doing these outside projects and talking about taking on more in the future! Really miss this content. Wish you best of luck with the new gym and maybe when that is all settled a bit, we can see you crush some more hard blocks :D
Every time i watch some climbing youtubers like Magnus it looks so easy when they do it. I get so hyped because i think im gonna climb like 8a tomorrow and then i cant even hold the start
Great video! Also I love that there's a boulder called Slartibartfast. Slartibartfast won a prize for creating the coastline of Norway, so it's appropriate that there's a boulder in Lofoten named after him.
Bravo, Marte. You are awesome, a real inspiration, especially seeing how far you have come since beginning climbing last year. I also admire the fact that you didn't allow your fear to stop you from trying because real rock obviously brings many more challenges & dangers than plastic holds inside a gym. Keep crushing, Marte.
The groundskeeper used to have to get in his boat and collect footballs during games and training. Now they're going to install a net, if they haven't already.
Magnus, have you considered any Canadian Rocky Mountain trips? I’d love to see you and Alex Honnold re-try the colab perhaps over here! There’s tonnnnns for Marte to see, and do as well! It’d certainly make for a beautiful trip as a couple.
I 100% agree that he should visit Canada. Sunshine slab and Grassi lakes in Banff are by far my favourite places to climb. I’m lucky to only live a few hours away from them
@@yaboi772 we visited Grassi Lake on my first visit to Canada where my wife showed me around her beautiful country. Unfortunately I had my knee injured at that time so I couldn't climb. Looking forward to coming back at one point.
I love how Marte started climbing on a date with you, and now it’s basically become such a focus in her life. Awesome to see how quickly climbing can get to the top of your priorities. You’re also such a positive influence on the climbing community. Always encouraging others that aren’t at your level. Just seem like a good human. Respect mate.
At around 13:12 it took me a couple of seconds to realise that the video playback wasn't sped up, which is incredible. You are an amazing athlete and an amazing person too Magnus I wish you and Marte every happiness together for the future, keep up the great work and thank you.
Commenting just because I see a new video but can't watch at the moment but really want to later when I have time and I can't wait because I'm excited!
Magnus, you look so happy when you climb outside! It's like the sun rises in your face when you explore, test out new boulders and just have fun! Matias, it is great how you put into perspective how intuitive Magnus approaches unknown boulder problems. I guess it just 'clicks' somehow in his head ;) Marte, good job! :)
Matias: lived in a village on a remote set of Norwegian islands. Also Matias: has perfect English. Norweigian schools really are kickass if they can teach English so well no matter how remote.
Matias has also travelled a lot, he did 3 huge hitchhiking trips with his friend Espen Aarsvold from Norway to Morocco, Norway to China and Norway to South Africa from 2005 to 2008. I have seen the documentary of their trip from Norway to China, amazing experience. ua-cam.com/video/y6fa7j5CoGg/v-deo.html
So, from a fan that has been watching you since you went to Arco with Robin, Why the hell did it take you so long to make this video!?!? The beginning was truly epic! And your outdoor climbing is my favorite! So happy!💪💪💪
You've become cooler since Marté's presence. With the channel also growing. Very happy to see. An expert in any field is quite nerdy, and humble in all other aspects of life. While at the same time has the willingness to push. We are grateful that we get to experience all this. Thank you for being
I was there a few weeks ago for the first time, it is absolutely amazing there! We had climbing shoes with us, but unfortunately no crashpads, so we could just visit the climbing gym in Oslo. I'll definitely come back for outdoor bouldering. Greetings from Germany!
I am a fairly lazy" beer at the pub guy", but when I was a student in Bodø back in the day, a russian student friend of mine who was a climber together with another student from Stavanger, also a climber, went to Henningsvær to climb (they convinced me I could do it). I believe the wall was called Paven (pope). It is still one of my greatest moments in nature, in proximity to the ocean and Henningsvær. The beauty surpasses any other place I've been to, even the Bora Bora Islands :) I also learned about Vodka having different quality from my Russian friend. Lofoten is incredible beautiful. Thanks for the nice video Magnus.
man alive … your self-awareness of your own body shape, size, flexibility and strength is just nuts - plus your ability to read the rock and fit your body around it. And then you add to that your total humility and the way that you focus on supporting and encouraging others to build their confidence. I love watching your content. Thanks for sharing this :)
I have such fond memories of the amazingly beautiful Lofoten. Walking and driving around there felt like a dream. Thanks for taking me back there. Everyone should visit at least once in their life.
Most people train to lose fat, but for athletes like magnus it's different. They have so little fat and so much muscle that they lose more muscle than they gain fat when they rest
I don't know anything about climbing or bouldering but this channel is enjoyable to watch. You make people want to get off their couch, get healthier and try something new. Keep up the great videos!

the resemblance between the guy in the beanie an Magnus is amazing. when he's speaking at 8:20 - 8:25 or so. the head shape, mouth structure is extremely close to Magnus. As well he's got that smile that he is just enjoying himself. (already getting myself into shape so I can climb again)
Damn. Marte is a beast! That one brown wall had a really sketchy crash zone! Even with pads it was bad.. I wouldn’t have done that in a million years. She’s seriously tough and brave and learning so friggin fast. She’s definitely a good example for my niece and I love showing her badass women who try. It feels more attainable and realistic than those olympians who train their whole lives and are the peak of humanity. So, Marte, if you ever read this… I just want you to know that even if you fail or don’t do something perfectly, you don’t look stupid, you look like a person who isn’t giving up and who isn’t afraid to try something new or difficult. Even Zoom class can’t get in the way of a Magnus upload. My teacher will have to wait
Matias is spectacular, such a nice character, he added a lot to the video!
Seriously one of the most beautiful places on the planet
It's great following Marte's climbing journey and seeing Magnus absolutely crush it as her mentor.

"My name is unimportant"
"What's your NAME?"
"Its... Sl-Slartibartfast - my name is unimportant!"
I don't care that it's at least four V grades above my abilities, I must go to there
Named for the guy who actually made those fjords. Nice.

Marte's try on the one you said was around 6A was great! I would have been terrified, that took a lot of courage and skill.
Some nasty falls on them rocks even with pads
Quite Aesthetic, amazing balance of art and sport.
yee
This is now by far my favourite Magnus video. I couldn't hit the Like button fast enough.
this guy can truly do it all
even rest and lose weight
how
I think it has to do with your muscles no longer holding water in your body because you're not training and thus losing weight.
Most people train to lose fat, but for athletes like magnus it's different. They have so little fat and so much muscle that they lose more muscle than they gain fat when they rest
Muscle weighs more than fat thats why he doesn't want to have big legs or juji arms as he doesn't need it to perform. Stamina we all need 😉
Her personality is one of my favorite kinds of people to be around. Just brightens the day. Yall together majes great content.
