So much fun! My favorite thing at the moment is the end and set page end feature of my Smith Corona classic 12, Silent and silent super. I’m always running out of room at the end of the page and when I remember to look at the end of page warning it works like magic!
I just got my first typewriter. Needless to say I've been watching UA-cam to learn everything about my new old typewriter. I definitely want another one already. Thank you for your collection of knowledge!
Love your typewriter videos. I just bought a Remington Travel-Riter right after watching your segment showing and demoing it, and bought a bunch of ribbons from Typewriter Chicago. THANKS for all you do for typewriter collectors sharing such valuable info and resources!
I love the power space on the Galaxie Twelve. I could press that thing all day. Such a pleasing sound. BTW I didn't notice your bun drop until you mentioned it.
I love snappy machines like your Remington, I had a 70s Hermes Baby in coral and it was really snappy but being plastic it was veeery inconsistent and I eventually sold it. I also understand completely the feeling of wanting to transfer the consistency of heavy full desk typewriters into a portable machine haha, they feel heavenly and the imprints look so crispy but yeah they are really heavy
A few random fav things at the moment - Computer Keyboard : IBM Model M 1391401 with PS/2 to USB adaptor. Buckling springy goodness. This is a permanent fave. Pocket Knife : Civivi C19026B-5 Mini Asticus. Far from my best, but it works and doesn't scare anyone, and the action is good. Typewriter : Perkins Brailler. Just got it and I have a lot to learn. A lot. Alcoholic drink : Laphroaig 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Like drinking a cigar. Need to sip it slowly. T-Shirt : "Just one more, I promise" typewriter themed. So true. Naughty Snack : Pocky Strawberry sticks Watch : Direnzo DRZ 04 in Blue. Music : Soundcloud "Deep Electronic Podcast" (Den Helder, Netherlands) Quick time-waster computer game : Wordle
Picked up some peppermint tea on sale this morning at the grocery store and have been enjoying it this evening! Forgot how nice this stuff is! No caffeine either, which makes it better to have for warming yourself up if you're cold!
That gunsmith screwdriver is great with its ground parallel tip and that Underwood typeface is truly beautiful! One thing that I really look for in portables is a great hard shell case for the typewriter, preferably with a secure way to hold the typewriter in place. If all cases were as good as the SCM holiday cases, I would be super happy! Finally, ribbons. Cheap ones are awful. A great ribbon makes the words look better on the page, and what could be more important than a nice, easily readable text? For me, nothing is more important. Daniel
Great stuff! A really good rundown of everything. I find it hard to pick a favourite typewriter as well. I have a Remington Monarch that is so snappy and makes me feel very efficient, my Adler Gabriele was my first typewriter and I love how it types and looks, I have a Remington Noiseless that's my oldest and I love it cos of that, and an Underwood Universal Quiet Tab which has a similar 'pop top' and the whole thing feels like a car from the 50s. I love the little bits and pieces I've picked up over the short while I've been collecting and repairing and i got a cheap pack of hooks and a set of small screwdrivers which have been invaluable to me. I also got some great stickers from Iron Fox Typewriters that I really love. It's tricky to find some stuff locally (I'm from Australia) but something always pops up and the online typewriter groups and UA-cam channels like yours are a great source of information and entertainment. Great job 🙂
Right now I'm looking for a SC S5 with an Modified Engineering (#1163) keyboard style! I want to find these keys! By the way, like the red color instead of the blue. :)

Watching your vids, I've always been curious about this too. You are my number 1 typewriter guide. Lol. Great video! Keep up the awesome work! 🤘
Thank you!
I love this video. I could sit here listening to you talk about your favorite things all day.
Love this video!
I’ve seen that bag in a blue colour as well.
I happen to have an air compressor and a Royal HH elite as well, and I have to say I completely agree with you! Greetings from Spain!
What a fun video! Covers typewriters and the other fun things that bring you joy! Always so entertaining and fun to watch. Thank you for sharing!
I have that same screwdriver! Estate sale find.
TWDB Loves you too! :D

Does your Travel Riter have half line spacing 1, 1.5, 2 or just 1, 2?

I'm telling you, it's the best!

Time for a new “favorites” video 😊❤

I got a Remington recently and an Adler- you're right, they're fantastic!

I think id be pushing that Royal emblem until it broke! 😂 I love the action on my Remington Quiet Riter too, very snappy.
Wow amazing video
Beautiful! From Russia with love!
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do we know if the platen is removeable? If you don't have the manual is it obvious?
i had a machine that had an easy removable platen for two years before i realized it could be taken out! Sometimes you just have to toy with it
This video reminds me of Christmas
☺🎄
definitely also filmed in like Nov....
