bro. THANK YOU for this video!! I been trying to watch other videos on how to update and run a 2-sd card system but this one was the best. I actually ended up deleting windows on my pc and had to get it repaired but this vid did me justice!! now I can play my RG35xxH in PEACE!
Stock OS is the best for RG35XX H. I have even tried R11 of MuOS but stock still wins. Everything just works on stock.
Swear to god everyone says a different thing. Batocera, kalli os, stock, muos or others are either mandatory or garbage, I feel the community is very scattered currently
I’ve tried them all, and I’m always a fan of cfw, but simply for this device, the newest stock os just works so well it’s not worth changing it.
I recall hearing that an issue in the cfw community with the Allwinner H700 is they don’t have an open source gpu driver for it. I’m starting to wonder if Anbernic has the driver and that’s why they’re using the H700s… so they control the firmware more. My 2 cents
@@therealchriskirk From what ive been getting from research deviating from stock os now in may of 2024 is only useful if you want specific little things like better certain kinds of emulation or to make portmaster stuff work better. i cant believe anbernic discourse is worse than R36S discourse right now too, it's insane how centralized the internet is but how gatekept all the good info is on these open source consoles
@@StarmenRock I have tried them all and the main problem I come across is you have to spend hours and hours after install to set everything up to work how you want it to work and things still don't work how you want them to work. If you look at the latest Stock OS for H you copy over the roms and your done. Everything works. I have not come across any game on stock where it didn't work.
@@mohrasher thats what im going for too probably, just really wish we could use portmaster on stock os. Its the only missing piece in the whole equation, im just not too upset over that because i also have a psp for those games and also bought an r36s for 26usd on ali which runs portmaster better than the rg35xx. Hi, my rg35xx has dual system. I don't wanna use the existing SD 64gb card that came with it.
I tried clone it but it's so difficult because my win10 got very defensive at everything I did.
Now I decided to just download the large update on anbernic site.
I wonder if those zip files would appear afew zip files. Now if it do appears a few then what should I do?
Do I write them multiple times into new SD card?
I wish this was simpler. I’m stuck on older computer hardware. This is all a nightmare.

Can you guys help. I've flashed the dual system images its okay. But when i flashed the newest patch it doesn't work at all the console won't even turn on indicator of bad images in the sd . But when i flashed it back to the stock os its working . So i guess my case is not bad sd card but the way i flashed it wrong. I've used yumi, rufus, & win32disk bootable maker . All seems not working. Help a brother out
I thought filling SD Cards to the brim is not good for the SD cards? Should I have got a 128Gb card? I wouldn't mind TBH, I think they were only like $20 (CAD).
After flashing via 64gb, i am not able to see anything on the console.
It's just blank.
But when I flash 16gb firmware on 64gb sd card I am able to see the options as soon in the video .

How to get Wi-FI running on the RG35XX Plus ? Settings are correct, but it never gets a connection. No update so far supports it.
It was super easy to install:

- Move apps to App Center
- Add N64 emulator.
- Add RA emulator ATARIST, AMIGA, AMIGA32CD, C16, C64, C128, VIC20
- Update gpsp, mgba core to support interstellar good dog vibration
- Add vba-next core
Does the 64gb file provided by anbernic online come with the emulators? Or does the modified stock OS come with emulators? Or should I just use my backed up emulator files after a new flash

I dont know how much of a big deal this is, but the latest update only offers the 16GB version and even if I try to download it, there's no IMG file after Ive extracted it. Did I do something wrong?

I'm really struggling and need a lot of help. I am not computer savvy at ALL I'm 23 and feel like I'm 80. When I got my RG35XX H and turned it on it only flashes the logo screen. I emailed Anbernic and they sent me a video that wasn't in English. I did my best to follow instructions on it but ended up formatting the unbranded micro SD card it came with, without backing anything up. I bought the 2 micro SD cards you recommended in this video, and have an adapter but I don't know what I'm doing and don't want to mess up. Do you think you could help me? ;; I can't get any help from Anbernic and I don't understand any of the steps here with my situation. I feel really stupid.

know im a bit late to the party but can anyone give any input on the portability of the 35xx h vs the pocket flip??
ive been thinking about replacing my miyoo mini v3 with something like the 35xx h, but i already own a pocket flip and from what i can tell the footprint and weight of the pocket flip is very similar to the xx h but with the 5'' screen basically slapped on the front. is the size/weight of the pocket flip really significant over the xx h?
my RG35XX H is up to date but will not charge to full capacity. I've done numerous things to try to get it to charge, shutting it off and plugging it in seems to be the best but when the battery symbol comes on it begins to charge for a few seconds and then stops. What could be the issue? Please help! Thanks!

Great tutorial! One question: I flashed the 16 gb iso in a 128 GB sd card because I already have the bios/roms in my PC but now I can't expand the partition to 128 gb. I'm trying the single sd setup. Should I go to 64gb img?
You won't be able to expand either, you can only use 16gb or 64gb.
I just got the RG35XX Plus, 1st off it doesnt turn on but it charges. I tried all the reset stuff that ive read on reddit. Also i completely dont understand that whole flashing and downloading os to the sd cards. I literally almost started crying cause im frustrated and dont understand, even after watching all these youtube videos. Why couldnt it just be completely ready when i bought it 😭😭

Awesome tutorial. I ve got a question. Adding new roms (in this case tiny best set GO) to new micro sd card needs to move from old game card the BIOS FOLDER or its enough to copy just all FOLDERS ?? Asking because the games mostly are working but some doesnt give the opportunity to move(Arkanoid for example) and there is NO GAME with EXAMPLE FOTO how this game looks like . Thanks in advance for help. SUB

The music player works well; you put your file in music folder and put .MP4 files in the videos and it just works. I enjoy those features and you will too! 😊

I am wondering if a new BATOCERA CFW will come out, I'm stuck in STOCK OS because iv been told performance now is very good for psx or PSP games
But I don't like the ugly design I want something more aesthetic and Batocera is the best but still on process hopefully they can give us a better CFW

I don't wanna change anything on my 64 stock os default because it's soo confusing I just wannaa know what to do in the second slot of TF I have spare of 256GB sd card and I don't know how it works if i put all my roms in second tf? can anyone explain or give me a tutorial vid
The manual in the box actually tells you what to do for that. And so does this video..
Could I keep the original roms on the primary SD and just add any additional ones to the secondary?
Hey everyone, does anyone know why does he say "against my wishes" for backing up the roms that come with the device in 8:06? (I'm a total noob and am just trying to make sure the device is at its best)
Thanks for making this video. My device already had the latest firmware installed so I skipped to cloning the original SD card via Disk Genius. According to Disk Genius the operation was successful but unfortunately the console won't turn on at all when the new cloned SD card is inserted. It still works with the old one.

That depends on which option you choose when you buy it. It should state something about having games or no games included wherever you're getting it from.

What the heck does “branded” mean for an sd card? These things are two partitions to make it even more complicated. Are the newer updates even good ? Updates don’t always make things better
Branded meaning actual brands that are known for SD cards - Samsung, SanDisk, Kingston etc., not unbranded, or the crap these ship with.
Yes, the newer updates are worth it.

Usually indication of a bad reader or card when that happens.
Thanks Joey. I cloned my 64gb and 128gb non branded cards to sandisk cards. With both new cards inserted, my rg35xx plus no longer turns on. Any ideas on how to fix it?
It turns out you can't clone the 35xx series unfortunately.

Fantastic guide, thank you! I'm trying to make Neo Geo CD games work on the RG35XX H but for some reason the option to select the system doesn't appear on RA Game. The games are chd format on the neocd folder, the bios are also on a separate neocd folder inside the bios folder but still nothing shows up for NGCD. I noticed that it doesn't seem like there's a Neo Geo CD core available so I wonder if you can't actually play that system on the RG35XX H?
I don't believe that core is added yet.

Pease help, I have searched for hours with no solution to what seems to be a simple problem, I have a San Disk SDXC 64GB card, formatted to FAT32, I have an Anbernic RG28XX, I copied the files from stock SD card exactly to the new SD card, however no matter what the anbernic will only turn on with the stock sd card, even though the replacement is correct size, correct format and has exact same data, can anyone help?

As long as you're cloning from the 64GB to a 64GB, you can use this.

Yes, the download from the site does.
I used the 16gb firmware img on a 16gb card. No need to waste a 64gb card if your just going to put your roms on a bigger card anyway.
Yep that works if you have a 16gb card otherwise they cost more than a 64gb on Amazon nowadays, so doesn't make much sense to buy anymore.

I have a card set with batocera for my h but went back to stock with the April 9th firmware update.
As much as I prefer the visual layout of something like Batocera, I like to play games when I pick up my handheld, not wait for the boot up.
On stock on any of my XX devices I can't get auto load save state to stick. I turn it on in RA settings and then save the config file, but it always turns itself off. Any idea why? It is the same on my 28xx, 35xxH, and Plus. Thanks
Are you opening RetroArch from settings instead of opening a game and making that change?
@@JoeysRetroHandhelds I have tried both. It always reverts back after saving the config file. I can get hotkeys to change, but never auto load. Right now I am only running stock on my 28XX while waiting for MuOS to release.

I bought a new card and put on muos and it kinda sucks , glitchy and shit doesn’t work, now I can’t find my stock sd card , this sucks particular. This stuff is always stay with stock.
I definitely don't agree and don't experience glitches with muOS. I would definitely follow my muOS guide for setup as it sounds like something is wrong on your end.
I have several of these handhelds and trying to modify the sd card just bricked one of them I think. I have a powkiddy x55 , is the OS called emuelec? It’s 4.5 and I’m on WiFi on the device and when I try to update it fails and flashes something about a URL and says 0mb to download. If I want to update this for 4.7 (all I want is port master) do I have to flash the smaller card to 4.7? There’s no way to get to update from the device ? I really don’t want to F up anything like the bios’s and everything because it’s configured perfectly from stock. Please help!
So if we have a 35xx (2024) will this work or are we out of luck until anbernic post the firmware?
The Plus firmware should technically work.
I just got my rg35xx h and when I turn it on it goes to the booting screen then it says exiting anbernic any advice

Can't get my second card seen by the stock os. I use a sandisk 64go, I'm on Mac, tired both ms-dos and exfat format and none of them worked...
Manual and video says FAT32.

No fat32 on mac, equivalent is either exfat or msdos…

Another thing I don't get is I flashed the 16gb IMG of the Stock OS on a 64gb micro sd card, installed OK, all roms bios etc... folder created OK, but then my card appears in Disk Utility with partitions using a total only 15gb, leaving 50gb free that seem unusable even for roms and that don't even show in Disk Utility. I can't change the size of any partition. There's still 4gb usuable in the card where the Stock OS is installed but where is all that free space ? I should be able to use it instead of a second micro sd, no ?
@@fabiencazeau1506 Nope, I talk about it in this video. You cannot extend the partition of the first slot with stock.

You can if you want, you'll have no roms or bios files, and you'll only be able to use 16GB of the 32GB.
having trouble after cloning my new sd card i was following your steps everything seemed to work great, cloned successful but wasn't able to extended my partition i did like you said clicked yes etc etc but the size never changed , also when i plug it into the rg35xxh it wont turn on but turns on with the old junk sd card any ideas would be great tia
Hey, you can't extend the partition of stock past 64GB for the first card. You're locked to 64GB.

@@jones9oh5 You can use the modified stock OS if you want a single card that expands, that's in the description. To clear the 128, reflashing anything will or just format it in Windows to something.

Sorry, you don't need a USB drive at all, you need an SD card reader to connect it to the PC to be able to transfer games over or update.
