I really like Joseph Anderson streams 90% of the time, but this is one of those situations where his chronic inability to engage with a game on its terms just made the watching experience kind of sad. I made it to the end of stream 7 before I stopped. This is a game that asks a lot from/about a person, and being unable to engage with it since you really just makes it exhausting. Being able to have fun with it is well and good, but any more serious media just isn't really meant for JA

But, maybe it's just a function of him playing in front of an audience? It feels like he is too dismissive of a lot of the weight that this game tries to carry. But maybe that's just what he's projecting in the streams. Like on stream 7he was having the conversation with Joyce, and it was as though he wasn't at all willing to engage with what the game was trying to say about liberalism
