What bolts do I need to mount the engine? I recently got a new 2jz ge put into my IS300 and only have the short block. I don't have the transmission mounting bolts anymore. I am just wondering what I need to buy and if can I get them from somewhere like ace hardware.
I just bought harbor freights updated version of this same engine stand; and they definitely made the rear wheels harder to put together without the bottom flange. Another thing I noticed is using this on my 2jz is the motor seems to be sitting really high, and I notice that with yours too. In comparison to watching other people with JZ's on engine stands they typically sit more level and about a foot lower in height. Also; if removing the oil pan while on the stand, you will want to avoid using those lower mounting points of the block and use the sides instead.
Thinking about getting this engine stand as the 2 that I currently have, 1 is a 3 caster and spider/mounting plate won't fit my engine, and the other is a 4 caster and the spider/mounting plate will not fit my engine, BTW my engine is a 1963 Chrysler/Mopar 361cid Big Block, the bell housing bolt holews are spread out to far for the current stands I have.

I found this from the harbor freight website this was a excellent video 👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you
can you mount a motor sideway so you can work on the flywheel and clutch and mount the gearbox?
Yes it can even been spun around and locked in place

Thanks Pete 💯
looks like a good stand.
Still holding up good ? 👍
Yup I use it from time to time with other motors and it held this motor for about 6 months
Just drove 2 hours to get this and ofc the legs don’t even come close to fitting in the stand
Wow that sucks.
They must do well, it's now $150.
Search for coupons. They almost always have them
@@petescarport they got rid of their coupons sadly
Bust out the welder and melt it together.
If you can't figure a engine stand out. You probably shouldn't be doing any engine work.
