@@RadKatz I am very new to this sort of game and system. I've only just upgraded to the Switch from my SNES and original Gameboy 🤣 its the fighting that I need to learn here to get further. After those 1st 4 shrines I went to one and it teaches you how to do the moves and stuff and I kept dieing. I know I need to learn that to enable me to get better weapons. All in time!
@@byronwelch1288 Yeah during my first playthrough I wasn't so hot at fighting but in my second playthrough I made a tremendous effort to learn how to fight and it made the game that much more enjoyable!
You can survive a fall from any height when out of stamina by opening your paraglider just before reaching the ground. You’re allowed a split second of gliding without stamina as long as you haven’t already opened your paraglider since running out of stamina. Same with falling off a wall.
@@commentsforcomments3018 that’s no better than just dying and fast traveling back to where you were before you fell. At least with the half second of paragliding, you can survive the fall and use Revali’s gale to get back up much faster than having to wait through 2 loading screens.
@@8bitmags9 true.. but for me, usually if I'm having to diminish my stamina completely, it's because I failed at whatever I was trying to do haha so my frustration leads me to travel elsewhere to do something else.
@@commentsforcomments3018 different strokes then. I’d prefer to persevere, since I’d have already wasted food, arrows, durability, etc., and finish what I started. If, say, the Lynel near the tower in Necluda knocked me off the cliff, and I’m without stamina, I’m going to survive and climb my way back up.
One thing I've learned when playing botw is that you never truly have to fall to your death, or drown when you run out of stamina. Simply teleport to a nearby shrine when you find yourself stuck with no stamina. Easy.
@@dabmonstr7403 of course it's better.. You're not dying and seeing the game over screen. Who cares if the loading screen times are the same?.. atleast the hero remains alive!
@@WhiteDove73-888 Not really, it allows you to make meals with the stats you want. When fighting lynels, I always use a 3 star defense potion cooked during a blood moon, same with farming guardians. you can make attack, defense, stealth, speed, stamina, fireproof, shockproof, freeze proof potions etc. I hated it at first but it allows you to make and carry what you want specifically, when you want it.
I found it way easier just to hoard food that regens stamina and grabbing heart containers than increasing stamina first. Personally consider getting stamina first to be highly overrated. Also you need 13 hearts at least for the master sword, unless you use the glitch with annoyingly specific camera angle.
I learned to cook a ton of stamina recovery foods so I could focus on Hearts for early Master Sword..I love how no matter what there is a work around for any play style.
I feel bad for people who did the Gerudo one first. That boss is super difficult with low hearts. (I know this from experience because I had to beat it for my friend)
Personally, for beginning players, I recommend Mipha's grace first because we die a lot in this game. It cuts down the death ratio stopping you from restarting. Plus its the closest beast from kakariko village and hateno lab. And the enemies are at a low tier. Building zora armor takes no rupees. And map towers are easier to unlock. Its basically the beast with the least obstacles.
i do daruk coz if ur running through hyrule field and dont know how to deflect guardian lazers 3 daruk protection takes out one walking guardian and its just my fav and pretty fun
@@mrayrick7631 Medoh was my first. It's the easiest and it feels the mosic epic, especially the sky-archery sequence. It's great at introducing exactly how it should feel taking down the great beasts.
Heres one for you. For starting fires you dont have to worry specifically about flint. If you have chuchu jellys and you cook them (by setting them next to a fire) which makes fire jellys which can pretty much do the same thing as flint
1) Raid castle for OP weapons 2) Kill white maned lynels for more OP weapons 3) Use said OP weapons from horseback to wreck guardians and farm parts 4) Use parts for fully upgraded ancient armor 5) Take Ganon's butt
I guess I don't know what I am doing. - I thought the castle is accessible only after we had all four devine beasts zapping it - I somehow ended up at Akkala Lab after doing my first Devine Beast ( Ruta ) - Upon seeing parts required to make ancient armour and weapons, farming cores is the first thing I do after every blood moon. - I now have full ancient armour upraded to 3 stars, 5 large cores but haven't forged any ancient weapons - I have not yet do the other 3 devine beasts.
Me too.. I was afraid I wasn’t going to enjoy it because I didn’t play any Zelda games before this. I bought this game and didn’t touch it for monthss. Now I’m obsessed as well
What I do right after the Great Plateau: 1) Climb all the way up to the top of Dueling Peaks and beat all of the shrines on them. The Shee Vaneer shrine is a great launching point to almost anywhere in the province. 2) Head straight over to Faron Tower and activate it. There is a ledge right next to it that is LOADED with hearty durians. One dish made of five hearty durians gives you 20 extra hearts, so I cook up a couple dozen to pad my health while I blitz stamina expansions. 3) Grab a flameblade, some wood, and a phrenic bow and dash over to Farosh's spring. Spam horn shards until you're blue in the face, and then you have money for days.
Wow, I can't believe I found someone who do the same game pattern as me. The Shee vaneer is on point. It can get you almost anywhere within the vicinity. I always prioritize faron tower for durians since the first I upgrade using orbs is my stamina
I jump off and head for Satori Mountain. It's loaded with every mushroom and plant in the game. There's a Claymore, which is the most powerful weapon you can get this early in the game. At night there's stal lizaflos that'll drop Lizal bows. If the Lord of the Mountain is there, then there's Blupees everywhere as well as rare bugs and critters. Oh, and there's a respawning diamond. After I clean the place out, I glide off, grab a horse and head for Dueling Peaks stable.
Heh, a bit of an update: the only reason I have anymore to farm dragon parts is for clothing upgrades. I have discovered the infinite rupee glitch, and it has changed my life
This game has two parts: 1) playing fairly and facing difficulties the way you're supposed to. 2) shamelessly abusing Revali's Gale from the moment you exit Vah Medoh to the end credits.
I didn't grow up on Zelda but I absolutely fell in love with this game. And I'm glad I finally picked it up after all these years. This is for sure one of those things that are better late than never!
The 2 times I've played through BotW's Main Story, I went and got Mipha's Grace first, for the additional Health it would give upon revival. That being said, the 2nd one I get is ALWAYS Revali's Gale.
The beginning of the video is accurate. I am not a huge single player game fan but decided to give BotW a try last week... I think I've played over 10 hours per day since then... Sometimes I just go to do one or two parts of the main story but then end up getting sidetracked by an armour upgrade or side quest where I spend 3 hours without realising hunting for Lizfano tails... Help 😢
You`re doing fine. In this game, the player has a lot of freedom to do whatever they want. Getting sidetracked by a minor thing is good for gaining skill and self confidence. When I was brand new to the game, I spent a lot of time farming the wild without doing any kind of quests or dungeons. I have zero regrets. It takes a while to get used to the basic mechanics. Once you get used to farming lizalfos, you can move one to shrines and side quests. Then you can go from there.
It’s miphas grace. Sorry this just really triggered me considering how I’ve played all of the Zelda games and I bought botw as soon as it came out hehe
@@hooni2461 I don't think anyone cares except you. I knew it was Mipha's grace, do I care if it's called "blessing" by someone else? "Oh no! Someone called it a blessing, guess I better flex my nerd muscles of how I played all the zelda game (As if that's even relevant to the situation..)!" - Slooshie
I'd like to add an honorable mention... Tame and register a horse, that makes travel so much easier. Yeah you miss a few things when you ride but if you have some shrines at the stables to warp to then you can investigate the area later.
A few things I've picked up from my replays: You really should do hearts first, since you need 13 to pull the master sword. That's either 40 shrines without doing any of the divine beasts, or minus 4 shrines off that tally for each divine beast you clear, to as little as 24 shrines. You really want that sword as quick as you can get it. You can always churn a bunch of crickets into potions if you really need to refill your stamina in the middle of a climb or something. When cooking, you can make meals that fully restore health or stamina by using a single ingredient that adds yellow hearts or stamina. Durians, radishes, anything that says Hearty will make a full-health dish by itself, and endura carrots or shrooms will similarly make full stamina refill dishes with a single ingredient. Apples and meat are good for roasting, as you can carry hundreds of roasted somethings in a single cooking inventory slot, which saves space and gives you a way to quickly heal chip damage so you can get back to using the master sword's throw attack. Always keep a hammer and a torch handy, you'll pretty much always need them for breaking rocks and boxes or lighting fires. The moment you get a fire weapon, replace the torch with that and keep it undamaged so you can use it to light fires anytime without needing to strike flint. Since utility weapons take up melee slots, always expand your melee weapon inventory first before the other inventories. Buying the stealth suit from Kakariko village is the best thing you can do with your money right off the bat. It's excellent to have on at all times, as you will always have opportunities to hunt and forage for potion fodder and meat that you can cook for profit. It also makes sneakstrikes very easy to pull off, letting you easily wipe out enemy encampments at night or knock out an isolated patrol without a fight. It's even better than the zora armor for catching fish since it's stealthier in the water, too. The four environmental hazards are heat, fire, cold, and lightning. Make it a high priority to have something on hand to deal with these hazards right away. The armor sets for these (desert voe, flamebreaker, snowquill, and rubber suit) should be sought out quickly, but elixers are worth having even after you pick up the clothes, as they allow you to wear the stealth suit in these inhospitable environments, making foraging much easier.
@@addisonreyna04 you probably already know by now, but there's an easier method glitch that was discovered to get master sword early. You just place a campfire near the pedestal and wait until morning. Then you constantly spam tap A after the screen loads in order to pick up the sword before it fully loads in. The master sword in that state acts like any item and can be picked up normally. This means you won't have the extra weapon slot but can be easily fixed once you get 13 hearts and pick up the now invisible sword. Watching link struggle to pick up air is hilarious though
@@SunnyHikikOmori is it worth it as a first time player to get the master sword right away or should I do it without the glitch? Although I’d rather save time on the grind part to obtain all those hearts to get the sword
I originally planned to get a bunch of stamina to start but found my way through the lost woods and got obsessed with getting the master sword but something I realized is you can just cook 1 endura item and it will fill your entire wheel plus the extra stamina
True. I play it the third time now and I never needed the extra stamina. Always got hearts - >Mastersword and then you can mow down the bosses. And after the great plateau I go straight to Hyrule castle to loot items
I'd still prefer stamina as you use less food that way. And using a campfire at the Master Sword can glitch to let you grab it without the required hearts.
Link with fully upgraded op gear: Remember that time when I died to stamina while gliding, and when I was climbing that mountain and stamina left me and when..... *Zelda cuts link off before he goes on all day*
So true! I couldn't cook something decent if my life depended on it. When a game has cooking I actually dread trying it out, but thankfully BOTW's cooking is easy and actually enjoyable.
@@bedwarsnoob2480 The difficultly of the boss actually scales depending on which order you do them. Waterblight isn't the easiest, in fact he is pretty complicated compared to Fireblight or Windblight. You are just doing him first so he is always the easiest. I would suggest doing Thunderblight first as they are the hardest boss to face later on.
Your list is good, however, I recommend adding one thing before doing Rito Village first. Get the full set of climbing gear, makes life so much easier, especially, in Rito Village. If you can upgrade it once before going to Rito Village, that would be a huge plus.
@@CR-og5ho So pay 2x as much or deal with less stamina and learn how to figure out paths that don't require as much stamina? I think I'll get the 13 hearts first. It just makes more sense.
@@slungellife 40 rupees per container/vessel. Since the premise of the comment I replied to said you could max stamina, switch it to hearts when you got to the master sword, then switch it back...it actually comes to a bit more than 40 rupees. Just one full switch is 20 rupees per vessel to container. That's 200 rupees for one full switch. To switch it back, that's another 200 rupees. So in total, you run around with 3 hearts and max stamina, paying 400 rupees for your Master Sword, while I will run around with 13 hearts and 2.5 stamina wheels while choosing to only pay the 200 rupees once. It's a gameplay style choice, however, it's far easier to find less stamina costly routes than waste an extra 200 rupees needlessly.
I cannot stress how much improving your stamina first is a must. Everyone whines "BuT tHe MaStEr SwOrD nEeDs 13 HeArTs" and I say "So??" There's plenty of Shrines to do to get them. And the Master Sword isn't even that great. BotW gave me waaaay too many new toys to play with.

@@Adeel808s Hey Bhai. I’m nearly at the end. But I’m travelling on my motorcycle right now throughout state. So decided to leave the Switch at home. It’s a good name, better than BOTW. Enjoy bro
After I beat this game I went out and bought Zelda ocarina of time, mejora’s mask, link to the last, link in between time, twilight princess, windwaker, phantom hourglass, and spirit tracks! Really love this series now :”)
another one.. keep elemental weapon such as fire and ice weapon.. it changed your body temperature once you equiped it.. useful during climbing high mountain and trip to volcano :D
If you're here in more recent years as a 2024 player, after my first playthrough my extra tips are: 1. BUY CLOTHES! EQUIP THEM AND UPGRADE THEM. Go to the fairies. They make climbing, fighting, swimming and everything so much easier. 2. Get Revali's Gale and Daruk's protection first! 3. Use elemental reactions, fire on ice enemies, shock on water enemies. It's an instant kill sometimes. 4. Grind shrines and unlock all the map as the first task even before finishing all the divine beasts. Get revali's gale to help with this however.
I have close to 700 hours for this game 😅 it never gets old, it’s just one of those games that you can keep playing without it getting boring. There’s always new things that you come across as well, it’s just a big game with too many things that you don’t notice right away when you first play it.
I played through by the story on my first time, Zora, Goron, Rito, Gerudo, Ganon, and it was a blast, but then I started a new file and messed around. You can open some places without instructions (Hateno Tower, don't talk to Pura first) and get a different cut scene, and you can even ignore Impa until the divine beasts are done. I would say, after the plateau, go for Faron tower fast, that gets you the trove of hearty durians, meaning you don't need much else when it comes to food save stamina elixirs and ability boosts. I do still go for the Master Sword fast too, but once you have it, use The Cursed Statue in Hateno to trade hearts for stamina. Finally, I do grab Revali's Gale fast, as mentioned here, as it is a MAJOR help for the rest of the game, just to get Gerudo and Akala towers it's amazing.
Well, the first thing i ever did was eyeball out all the towers starting with the north-east counter clockwise, so i have a full map and mark where not to bump into lynels :D
I I love this game so much, recently started a second Playthrough to get ready for Age of Calamity. So on my first and second Playthrough,I suggest getting more hearts so you can get the Master Sword sooner. Just my opinion. Also, what other switch games do u play?
That's cool man, not a bad strat honestly and I've also played through mario odessy, 3d allstarts, pokemon lets go eve, sonic mania and a couple others. Also looking forward to Age of Calamity!
I disagree with the first tip. The game is challenging, but very playable still, without the stamina but it’s worth getting the Master Sword earlier. And you can exchange hearts for stamina later
Yeah master sword all day. I upgraded my stamina one time before I found out about the master sword and the master sword helps hella with the Gannon fights
I don't know if I'm still too early in the game, but actually I defeated Water Blight Ganon and I'm on my way to the Death Mountain and I only upgraded my heart containers. Honestly, I'm able to manage pretty well my stamina as I actually don't need any more than the minimal amount we're given at the beggining of the game to survive (I did a lot of shrines and climbing)
Little early.... soon you’ll want to start getting more stamina but it sounds like you’re fine for now..... what I personally do is get the first heart row done then go for stamina.... that’s just me though
From my POV on Master Mode I usually go for Mipha's Grace because: 1- Going to Kakariko to ver the climbung bandana, expand weapon Stash, unlock Great Fairy and get an easier access to Hateno to improve the Sheikah Slate. 2- Zora Suit is overall better than the other 3 "regional sets" because of the stamina ecomomy while swimming and easier exploration of lands that have waterfalls (and none of the 3 parts needs your money) + getting Sheikah Set from Kakariko, One of the bests Neutral Sets to explore the world randomly. 3- Mipha's Grace at the beginning is Very useful since the enemies becomes stronger (silver/gold) after each Main Mission Completed and allows to Focus on Stamina Upgrade. 4- The Path that leads to Zora's Kingdom is filled with treasures and enemies that drops arrows, you can have more than 100 arrows easily without spending rupees 5- Sidon is such a Great Husbando OMG
With you on the arrows. Whenever the selling guy is walking round I always buy every arrow from him and when I've ran out I go to gerudo town and buy all of them from there lol.
You need 13 hearts to get the master sword, so if you start with upgrading stamina over hearts you delay getting the master sword. I went all hearts until I got the master sword and started investing heavily in stamina after that.
I still recommend upgrading your stamina over hearts, because you can always trade them for hearts at the Horned Statue in Hateno, get the sword, then trade them back for your stamina
@@rubberduckie9885 thats a stupid idea when links heart hp needs to be upgraded more than stamina especially whem starting from the beginning of the game nobody wants to keep fighting on 3 heart hp knowing that enemies will get harder as you explore different areas
@@lightning13clair29 I mean, it depends on how confident you are at fighting. Parries and dodges can get you through most of the game without much issue, but I get new players aren’t used to it. If it’s your second run through of the game, it makes more sense to upgrade stamina in my opinion since you can better dodge and avoid enemies. Plus, getting stamina just makes the game way more fun and if you hit Faron early on, temporary hearts from the durians should get you through till you get enough shrines for hearts.
@@lightning13clair29 also, according to your comment history, you’re pretty toxic to other people, please just chill out, we’re just playing Zelda there’s no need to call other ppl dumbasses
After beating the game a few times I did a sort of diffrent way to start 1. Collect upgrade until having 13 hearts so to pull out the master sword. (Don’t put in stamina) 2. Collect the memory first 3.get the hyliean shield 4. Then go to impa (yes I know you have to go to impa first anyway before she can give you number 13 memory)
I agree with you so much! I was a switch late comer too(also zelda), I bought botw last year but I started playing last year. And I can say it might be the best game I've ever played.
I'm 14 hearts deep with the basic stamina. Really wanted to get the master sword as quickly as possible. Plus you can trade hearts for stamina and vice versa at the stone statue near the home you can buy
In my opinion there are no things to do first or last. You can do every thing other than ganon and save him for last, or go straight to ganon (it’s possible) after you leave the great plateau. You do everything at your own pace, weather you are aware of it or not.
stamina is no problem, just cook a SINGLE endura shroom to fully replenish stamina and even give a slight bonus to it same with hearty radish, cook just one and fill all hearts + 3 bonus hearts
I think the sweetest sound is after you fight some lynols (spelling?) get a bunch of gear, forgetting to save, gliding off a cliff, forgetting you sprinted to the cliff and didn't recharge stamina, falling down after you already accidentally opened your glider again so you truly have no stamina, then as you are about to die you hear "mipha's grace is now ready". that happend a while ago and i still remember it.
My first Divine Beast was Naboris. Didn’t plan it that way or know what I was getting into. I found all the bosses to be trivially easy (had Master Sword and good armor before doing any Beasts), but the hardest part of the game for me by far was that damn Naboris dungeon. They were all easy after that one. Naboris puzzle was the true last boss.
Same for my brother and I. The camel was the first animal dungeon we stumbled into and that damn puzzle took us about 2 hours to figure out working together. Took a long time to figure out how to move the camel parts even. Every other animal dungeon was too easy.
Just got the game yesterday, so excited to play it 🥰 It has so many possibilities from what I've seen, and I love how it lets you solve a situation by your own way, there's no wrong way. This helped a lot 🥰 Another way I get arrows is letting an enemy throw the arrows at me while holding my shield, helped me get so many in early game
I'm playing the game for the first time since last week, and I'm glad I've been doing everything you said hahaha. Very good video bro ❤️ underrated channel
Learn the locations of endura carrots and cook them up. These will help ensure that you don't suddenly run out out stamina. Endura carrots can be found at all fairy fountains, Mt. Satori and on a ledge near the center of the southern most part of the map. They will respawn every time a blood moon occurs so you can go back to the locations and get more of them. Hearty Durians are another thing that you should learn to farm early on. They can be found on Mt. Satori and a ledge just south of the tower in the rain forest area. There are more hearty durians on another ledge above the first one but you need Ravali's gale or a lot of stamina to get to the 2nd ledge. Cook up 5 hearty durians and you will get a meal that will give you a ton of hearts when you need them.
The hearts vs stamina varies on how you play..... personally on almost every play through I’ve done (played to 70% completion in normal and 50% in master mode..... more combat focused) I tend to go hearts first until I get 13 hearts to acquire the master sword then max out stamina..... that’s just me though
I did the same thing in my first play through rn and got the master sword early. Now I maxed stamina and I’m onto hearts next, how many hearts do you guys think I should have to take on the master sword trials?
@@UFCWWE69 I recommend 120 club before master trials otherwise your gonna have quite a hard time from my experience anyway.... (to put into context how hard it is I have about 500 hrs in botw and about 100 hours is unending pain of trying to beat that damn challenge.... that said I did eventually beat it but it’s a PITA)
why would you upgrade stamina first?? you can literally get a sword that doesn’t break when you get 13 hearts and if you’re not silly when you’re gliding you won’t just let your stamina run out you’ll stop gliding leaving a bit of stamina left and open it closer to the ground. And if climbing is a issue there’s a bandana you can get for free from a shrine (can’t remember which one) you can also make food/ elixirs that you can eat to get stamina if you’re about to run out. i could give more points as to why stamina should not be what you level up first but i’ll leave it there
I haven’t watched the video yet but I came to the comment section and saw that someone who never played Zelda got it and loved it and I AGREE. I got a switch when smash bros came out and I never cared about this game ever and then my son started to watch Zelda videos on UA-cam and said he wanted it so I got it and he would ask me for help and I’m like I’m sorry idk this game and then at night I found myself trying to progress in the game for his sake and I slowly started to like the game and now I find myself playing it on my own and I’m looking forward to completing it but it really is so much fun.
Yeah, but especially the very first stamina container makes climbing towers sooooo much more comfortable. Beyond that, the benefits are less significant. But if you're the type who likes to climb/glide/swim a lot, it's still worth to get one every 5 hearts or so. Particularly because heart containers get less relevant as you learn the game, collect fairies, make food that fills all your hearts (which is ridiculously easy).
Through the years I've heard lots of good things about zelda unfortunately I wasn't able to play neither Zelda Ocarina of time nor Mayora's mask until I was able to buy a N3ds myself and played both games, I fell in love with both games. A couple of weeks ago I managed to get a switch and bought Zelda BOTW, Bruh!!!! I'm loving it !!! Really glad I didn't spoiled myself with gameplays
It's not just an amazing Zelda game, it's an amazing all around game. There are like 2 minor complaints I have, but literally everything else is awesome and will suck you into the world
It sucks being late to the party, it doesn’t hinder the gameplay at all though. Sucks I could have been playing this 2 or 3 years ago, I simply didn’t know about it.
Same (kinda) though I did start out with playing Link to the Past playing Ocarina of Time on the n64 was such a special time for me. I was in high school at the time and would come home everyday and play that game. I probably played through it 6 times before moving onto Majora’s Mask.
I picked this game up the other week on a whim for my 61yr old father. Back in the 90s he loved gaming on the n64. Hasn’t played a whole lot since just here and there on my consoles. And wow!! He is hooked on BOTW!! It’s awesome seeing him play an hour or two each day. I have to assist in some areas as he’s not so quick with his coordination. But he’s making progress! Only thing so far that drives us crazy is the CONSTANT RAIN. Gets very annoying
I feel you bro, I’m a little late to the Zelda franchise itself... I actually traded my Xbox one s a Wii U so I could play all the old Zelda games on the virtual console, and play new ones on my switch. It’s one of the best and funniest (and time consuming) games I’ve ever played. I honestly thought they could’ve made it a little harder especially the Gabon fight itself, but I got no complaints about this game. Also your channel and your content is amazing my man keep up the great work, I can’t wait to see the heights your channel goes to my brother👊🏼
Hey thank you so much! and I totally feel you man, the gannon fight was pretty easy, they do make some other pretty challenging zelda games so if you are a fan of this one you should for sure keep up your journey of playing them all!
Before I played this game I didn't know ANYTHING about Zelda other than Link saves Zelda with sword Now, I play this game all the time, started playing older games and fell in love. This game manages to teach you about everything you NEED to know and you just become a fan, like a plague. You never get bored of it
got my copy when i purchased my switch but never played it and 2.5 years later i’ve decided to give it a try so i am a little late to say the least but yeah… hahaha. great vid thanks for the tips!
I totally agree about Revali's Gale being the first thing you should get. But I also recommend looking for, obtaining, and upgrading the rubber armor probably twice before going to Vah Naboris
I've had this game for 3 years at this point, I never beat it and got stuck on a part where you need a gerudo suit to enter Gerudo Valley or whatever. I freed Vah Ruta, but left after that. Today I decided to restart fresh and GOODNESS I love this game.
Your most important rune is your bomb. The stone titans get bodies by them and will save you a ton of weapon durability for bosses. Also always have a fodder weapon that you got from an enemy so when it breaks during a camp raid it is replaceable
Number 1 is actually the opposite of what you should do first. Get 13 hearts first so you can get the Master Sword, then visit the demon statue and make some deals for stamina instead.
6 months late, yet you just inspired me to get it I have seen my brother play didn’t think it was that fun but I’m gonna get it now looks really fun. Ty for making this.
We are completly different, I never run out of stamina so I always upgrade it at the end and revali's gale is the ability I less use xD For me, the first 5 things you must do (not in master mode tho) 1. Get the hylian shield 2. Finish divine beast (mipha, daruk, urbosa and revali at the end) 3. Upgrade bows at least to 7 spaces (and upgrade the most you want the rest of things) 4. Get your house so you can dup op weapons like the hylian shield 5. Get hearth containers as priority, if you are smart you can climb anything with the default stamina (this is number one for master mode because you are not protected from one shots like in regular mode) As an honor mention, activate every single shrine you see, you don't have to finish it at that time, just activate it for teleportation purposes, you don't want to travel long distances Honorable mention #2 get the motorcycle if you have the dlc, that thing is the best xD
You should try holding off on grabbing the Hylian Shield until lategame if you want a better version of it! Items from chest start to show up with modifiers like Durability Up later in the game, including the Hylian Shield, so if you want the best version of it it's better to hold off until those modifiers start showing up.
It can be. I did Zora's domain first simply because it was close to Kakariko Village and I ran into several Zora while I was just running around exploring. The Rito village is as far away as possible from where I've been so far. (Edit: I'm about to enter Rito village, I'm at the nearby stable.)
The game does sorta lead you there first. And the Champion power-ups are hard to rank best to worse. Some folks like Mipha's Grace, like if an enemy one-shots you, you still have the option to get away. Revali's Gale is good too, but the reasoning in the video seems kind of weak. It's fun though.
It is the first option, unless you make a point not to go through Zara’s domain first. Players are much better served to get miphas grace first, then get rivali’s gale. It’ll be much easier with so few hearts if you can be revived when you die.
@A B I wouldn't say the game encourages you to use new weapons, I say it forces you to do so. I appreciate that Breath of the Wild encourages experimentation, but it didn't need to limit you like it does. Limits are bad in an open world game and Breath of the Wild is an open-world game. Ok I get you can go straight to the final boss freely without restraints in that manner, but I don't find climbing a cliffside enjoyable when I have to pay attention to a meter that may deplete entirely and force me to fall off and then climb that cliff all over again. I know what good game design is to me like you know what good game design is to you-I have my preferences and you have yours there is no rule of what good game design is-it's all up to what works for you.
I got this game for Christmas. I wanted to try a zelda game for maybe the past year or so bc I love puzzles. I love puzzley things and stuff that gets you to try different stuff. I've never been a big gamer or a fighting game person. I know I had games growing up but my brother was always far better at them. Anyway, I have really loved playing it. It's a great escape from my day-to-day rn. I'm so intrigued by the lore and details I keep learning from the internet. I think I wouldn't ever learn them jsut playing the game. I went in totally blind and I'd definitely recommend doing so for the first playthrough of it. I have picked up stuff or had to search up a few things here and there when I'm super stumped or lost in the map but otherwise it's more satisfying figuring it out as I go. Its such a pretty game, too. In my head I keep thinking about it in comparison to the other stuff on my switch atm - animal crossing, pokemon scarlet(playing with my bro who has violet), legends arceus(also with the bro), and cult of the lamb - which it's a little funny bc theyre so similar and very very different. I've been craving a kirby game lately, last I played it was super star ultra on DS. I'm totally rambling, just having a ton of memories about playing stuff with my brother on the wii and a few ds things. I also have a.d.d so despite having a bunch of games it's hard for me to play consistently without spending exorbitant amounts of time on it. I swear my villagers/islanders are always asking where I've been and I feel bad.
If all your content is as good as this then your channel is very undervalued.

You can survive a fall from any height when out of stamina by opening your paraglider just before reaching the ground. You’re allowed a split second of gliding without stamina as long as you haven’t already opened your paraglider since running out of stamina. Same with falling off a wall.
Orrrrrrrr, just pause the game to your map and then teleport to a different location. Way easier.
@@commentsforcomments3018 not really because then you have to return to where you wanted to be.
One thing I've learned when playing botw is that you never truly have to fall to your death, or drown when you run out of stamina. Simply teleport to a nearby shrine when you find yourself stuck with no stamina. Easy.
That's no better than dying regularly

Personally, for beginning players, I recommend Mipha's grace first because we die a lot in this game. It cuts down the death ratio stopping you from restarting. What I do right after the Great Plateau:
1) Climb all the way up to the top of Dueling Peaks and beat all of the shrines on them.

Help 😢

Dude for me who loves single player games, it baffles me seeing people who aren’t huge fans. Welcome to the club!

A few things I've picked up from my replays:
You really should do hearts first, since you need 13 to pull the master sword.
Well, as we now know, we don't need 13 hearts anymore to pull the sword.
@@DavePainkiller wait what?!? i grinded shrines specifically for hearts, for nothing?
You literally just need a campfire to pull master sword.
Here's a tip.
When stamina are low, you can teleport away or use that last sliver for that final burst to reach the top.

@@lightning13clair29 yeah, thats what I literally said, do you not know what glitches are
I don't know if I'm still too early in the game, but actually I defeated Water Blight Ganon and I'm on my way to the Death Mountain and I only upgraded my heart containers.
@@shadowcastyt i'd like to have 13 hearts before obtaining stamina, is that the first row?
@@f3fnir I believe a row is 15 hearts making you max out at 30
13 ain’t bad idea either that allows you to grab the master sword
@@shadowcastyt yeah i know that's why i just want 13 hearts for now, thanks for the advice though
From my POV on Master Mode I usually go for Mipha's Grace because:
1- Going to Kakariko to ver the climbung bandana, expand weapon Stash, unlock Great Fairy and get an easier access to Hateno to improve the Sheikah Slate.
4- The Path that leads to Zora's Kingdom is filled with treasures and enemies that drops arrows, you can have more than 100 arrows easily without spending rupees
5- Sidon is such a Great Husbando OMG
After beating the game a few times I did a sort of diffrent way to start
1. Collect upgrade until having 13 hearts so to pull out the master sword. (Don’t put in stamina)
2. Collect the memory first
3.get the hyliean shield
4. Then go to impa (yes I know you have to go to impa first anyway before she can give you number 13 memory)
For me also important is turning on pro mode (No mini map), because it makes you go more on exploring
It also looks a lot more cinematic with less UI pollution on the screen.
I agree with you so much! I was a switch late comer too(also zelda), I bought botw last year but I started playing last year. And I can say it might be the best game I've ever played.
The way I laughed at link running with wood towards Lynel xD
I'm 14 hearts deep with the basic stamina. Really wanted to get the master sword as quickly as possible. Plus you can trade hearts for stamina and vice versa at the stone statue near the home you can buy
In my opinion there are no things to do first or last. You can do every thing other than ganon and save him for last, or go straight to ganon (it’s possible) after you leave the great plateau. You do everything at your own pace, weather you are aware of it or not.
i was never a zelda fan until i played botw. absolutely amazing. one of my favorite games.
stamina is no problem, just cook a SINGLE endura shroom to fully replenish stamina and even give a slight bonus to it
same with hearty radish, cook just one and fill all hearts + 3 bonus hearts
Intro got me hooked lol thanks for the tips man I’ve been saving this game till I upgraded my TV and so glad I did.
I like the arrows thing. Never have i thought it in my first run
I'm playing the game for the first time since last week, and I'm glad I've been doing everything you said hahaha. Very good video bro ❤️ underrated channel
thank you!
0:54 "Anywhere you can see, you can pretty much take Link there."
Unless it's raining.
Me watching this with over 90 hours in the game.
“Ah bet.”
I completed Vah Medo in second because Vah Ruta was really close to Kakariko Village.
yeah i think that was their intended boss first because of that reason
@@RadKatz Plus Mipha could literally save your life and gives you 3 temporary hearts.
@@samyb4566 yeah the only downside is it takes a long time to recharge
@@RadKatz theres dlc content that gives you a plus version of each ability that recharges much quicker. It’s up all the time for me now.
@@kevinp665 yeah it makes link super OP to be honest
You don't need stamina if you just plan things properly.
You should aim to get hearts first so you can get the master sword asap.
It just depends on what do you want
Is it too late to start this game? I really want to get into it, it’ll be my first Zelda game
it's never too late to start, just beware once you start, you don't stop...
My zelda obsession started with
n64 "ocarina of time" my all time favorite. Best childhood gaming memories by far. I miss the 90s
Gets very annoying
that is super cool! and yeah rain is rough
I just got upgrade my hearts I can't bring myself to upgrade my stamina first.... It's like my thumbs are incapable I just can't do it
I just got a switch and just got this game, played about 30 mins and it’s already hooked me!
Same here boss
it happens my friend
Same but with Wii U
Before I played this game I didn't know ANYTHING about Zelda other than Link saves Zelda with sword
Now, I play this game all the time, started playing older games and fell in love. This game manages to teach you about everything you NEED to know and you just become a fan, like a plague. You never get bored of it
got my copy when i purchased my switch but never played it and 2.5 years later i’ve decided to give it a try so i am a little late to say the least but yeah… hahaha. great vid thanks for the tips!
no problem! the comments have a lot of tips too feel free to browse!
I totally agree about Revali's Gale being the first thing you should get. But I also recommend looking for, obtaining, and upgrading the rubber armor probably twice before going to Vah Naboris
Your video commentary had me rolling, great work
Thanks glad you like the content!
I would recommend getting 13 hearts first so you can try to get the master sword, then stamina after that.
I've had this game for 3 years at this point, I never beat it and got stuck on a part where you need a gerudo suit to enter Gerudo Valley or whatever. I freed Vah Ruta, but left after that. Today I decided to restart fresh and GOODNESS I love this game.
Yeah it really is a great game
Your most important rune is your bomb. The stone titans get bodies by them and will save you a ton of weapon durability for bosses. Also always have a fodder weapon that you got from an enemy so when it breaks during a camp raid it is replaceable
Number 1 is actually the opposite of what you should do first.
Get 13 hearts first so you can get the Master Sword, then visit the demon statue and make some deals for stamina instead.
6 months late, yet you just inspired me to get it I have seen my brother play didn’t think it was that fun but I’m gonna get it now looks really fun. Ty for making this.
np! glad you enjoyed it! You won't regret playing it, my friend!
We are completly different, I never run out of stamina so I always upgrade it at the end and revali's gale is the ability I less use xD
For me, the first 5 things you must do (not in master mode tho)
1. Get the hylian shield
2. Finish divine beast (mipha, daruk, urbosa and revali at the end)
3. Upgrade bows at least to 7 spaces (and upgrade the most you want the rest of things)
4. Get your house so you can dup op weapons like the hylian shield
5. Get hearth containers as priority, if you are smart you can climb anything with the default stamina (this is number one for master mode because you are not protected from one shots like in regular mode)
As an honor mention, activate every single shrine you see, you don't have to finish it at that time, just activate it for teleportation purposes, you don't want to travel long distances
Honorable mention #2 get the motorcycle if you have the dlc, that thing is the best xD
But wind bombs with more stamina is so much fun
You should try holding off on grabbing the Hylian Shield until lategame if you want a better version of it! Items from chest start to show up with modifiers like Durability Up later in the game, including the Hylian Shield, so if you want the best version of it it's better to hold off until those modifiers start showing up.
Nice video, just learnt what Korok seeds are for. 5:33
Revali's gale = BIRD POWERS!
ive always wondered what those seeds were for! I am looking for Hestu Korok now ! Thansk bud! :)
No problem!
I’ve just rushed hearth the get the master sword and literally beat the water fireblight in 6 min
Oh... I thought Mipha's Healing was the first option.... Opsies.
Not forgetting you're limited by durability systems because that's fun.
True that!
I smell sarcasm

@A B If you like limits in your videogames then ok good for you.
I have most of the shrines in master mode and only had the heart upgrade from the beginning and didn’t collect any spirit orbs.
